This paper presents the review of the methods used in research of the biological active substances hydrophobicity, a very important property. The biological activity of some substances depends on their pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. These processes depend on the molecule's capability to interact with two different media: aqueous (cells interior) and non-aqueous (cells membrane), or on the molecule lipophilicity. Today, great attention is given to investigation and systematic determination of drugs lipophilicity. In these researches chromatography methods have an important role.

In the carried out of the research, Xylotroph macromycetes have been researched as a perspective producer of bıologıcal actıve substances used for various purposes today in world practice which spread in Azerbaijan and some of their features (the biological activity of synthesized metabolites, toxicity, antimicrobial activity and dynamics of biomass formation ). It became clear that fungi such as Ganoderma lucidum (Curtis) P. Karst., Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull.) Murrill, Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacq.) P. Kumm, Schyzophyllum commune Fr and Trametes versicolor (L.) Lloyd considered as a perspective producer of bıologıcal actıve substances is widely spread in the forests of Azerbaijan, and some of them are even dominant species of xylomicobiot inherent in the nature of Azerbaijan. As a result of studies with isolated strains of these fungi, it was shown that both in the culture solution (CS) and in the vegetative mycelia (VB), there are metabolites with biological activity. The result of research also became clear that antimicrobial activity of CS in all cases is higher than in water or alcohol extracts of dry biomass (1,1-1,2 times), although it defines the overall biological activity of VB extracts to the relationship of Paramecium caudatum gives a higher increase effect. In addition, the selected active strains do not lag behind the known strains in terms of the amount of biomass formed (up to 8.7 g/l in 7 days) and manifestations of forms of biological activity. This gives a serious basis to realize the production of biologically active substances for different (food, feed, medical and other) purposes on their basis.

The work is devoted to biological active substances in plants and their antioxidant activity. The study of biologically active substance, especially natural antioxidants is very important task. After several studies on the importance of antioxidants in biological systems by counteracting of oxidative stress that causes several human diseases such as atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, chronic inflammation, neurodegenerative disorders, and certain types of cancer have been conducted. There is a great interest of quantification of antioxidants and determination of antioxidant capacities of a number of specific food compounds. The main theme of work includes three subthemes. The first subtheme is the preparation of the extract; the second subtheme is the study of the composition of biologically active substances contained in the extract; and the third subtheme is the study of the properties of the extract. The primary objective of the investigation is to research properties of thick extracts of red currant leaves which were extracted with such organic solvents as acetone, hexane and ethyl alcohol. The tasks are qualitative and quantitative investigation of the thick extracts and determination of their inhibiting action on the process of free radicals formation in hydrophilic systems. For the qualitative analysis of thick extracts the method of optical spectroscopy is employed. Calculation method is used for the quantitative analysis. The most important stage of analyzing dense extracts is the verification of their antioxidant properties. This model of the oxidation reaction of adrenaline with air oxygen is used. The theoretical importance is application of the natural vegetable materials as the source of antioxidants for food stuffs. In comparison with synthetic materials they are less toxic. To sum it up, red currant leaves extracts contain a set of biological active substances (phenolic compounds, bioflavonoids, carotinoids, chlorophyll) capable of exerting an antioxidant effect, and they can be recommended in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.Forcitation:Petrova S.N., Kantan A.D., Yargunova Yu.V. This research was aimed to determine biological active substances qualitatively in vicia faba, lentil, green peas, soybean, beans, redbean. Lipase inhibitors were screened and compared with orlistat drug. All cold and hot extracts contained both saponin and tannin while polyphenol did not exist in vicia faba and soybean; rating found in all extracts except greenbeas. Tween 80 was used in lipase and lipase inhibitors screening; lipases activity were detected at cold aqoueus extracts of vicia faba, lentil, redbean and beans while heat stable lipase detected at vicia faba hot extract only. Extracts of Green peas, soy beans and chick pea lacking lipase activity. Qualitative and quantitative determination of lipase inhibitors activity showed that soybean and chick pea gave the highest lipase inhibition. Each extract caused 100% inhibition with 472.5 unit/ml compared with 85% inhibition for 12 mg/ ml of orlistat.

Abstract This four-part series of papers addresses the problem of systematic determination of the influence of several tire factors on tire treadwear. Both the main effect of each factor and some of their interactive effects are included. The program was also structured to evaluate the influence of some external-to-tire conditions on the relationship of tire factors to treadwear. Part I describes the experimental design used to evaluate the effects on treadwear of generic tire type, aspect ratio, tread pattern (groove or void level), type of pattern (straight rib or block), and tread compound. Construction procedures and precautions used to obtain a valid and functional test method are included. Two guiding principles to be used in the data analyses of Parts II and III are discussed. These are the fractional groove and void concept, to characterize tread pattern geometry, and a demonstration of the equivalence of wear rate for identical compounds on whole tread or multi-section tread tires.
