In the present paper, we obtain some new fixed point theorems for set-valued contractive and nonexpansive mappings in the setting of ultrametric spaces. Our theorems complement, generalize and extend some well known results of Petalas and Vidalis [A fixed point theorem in non-Archimedean vector spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc 118(1993), 819-821.], Suzuki [A new type of fixed point theorem in metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 71(2009), 5313-5317.] and others.

The purpose of this paper is to combine and extend some recent fixed point results of Suzuki, T., [A new type of fixed point theorem in metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal., 71 (2009), 5313–5317] and Secelean, N. A. & Wardowski, D., [ψF-contractions: not necessarily nonexpansive Picard operators, Results Math., 70 (2016), 415–431]. The continuity and the completeness conditions are replaced by orbitally continuity and orbitally completeness respectively. It is given an illustrative example of a Picard operator on a non complete metric space which is neither nonexpansive nor expansive and has a unique continuity point.

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to prove a general fixed point theorem for mappings involving almost altering distances and satisfying a new type of common limit range property in Gpmetric spaces. In the last part of the paper, some fixed point results for mappings satisfying contractive conditions of integral type and for ⱷ-contractive mappings are obtained.

Hasegawa, Kawasaki and Kobayashi [Fixed point theorems for contractively widely more generalized hybrid mappings in metric spaces, to appear in Linear and Nonlinear Anal.] introduced the concept of contractively widely more generalized hybrid mappings in a metric space. On the other hand, Bogin [A generalization of a fixed point theorem of Goebel, Kirk and Shimi, Canad. Math. Bull. 19 (1976) 7–12] showed a fixed point theorem. However, Bogin’s result is not included in our results. In this paper, we consider new sufficient conditions as to cover the Bogin’s fixed point theorem for contractively widely more generalized hybrid mappings to have a fixed point.

The purpose of this paper is to prove a general fixed point theorem for mappings involving almost altering distances and satisfying a new type of common limit range property which generalize the results from Theorem 2.9 [19]. In the last part of the paper, as applications, some fixed point results for mappings satisfying contractive conditions of integral type for almost contractive mappings for ?-contractive mappings and (?,?) - weak contractive mappings in metric spaces are obtained.

Motivated by a problem concerning multi-valued mappings posed by Reich [S. Reich, Some fixed point problems, Atti Accad. Naz. Lincei Rend. Cl. Sci. Fis. Mat. Natur. 57 (1974) 194-198] and a paper of Jleli and Samet [M. Jleli, B. Samet, A new generalization of the Banach contraction principle, J. Inequal. Appl. 2014:38 (2014) 1-8], we consider a new class of multi-valued mappings that satisfy a ?-contractive condition in complete metric spaces and prove some fixed point theorems. These results generalize Reich?s and Mizoguchi-Takahashi?s fixed point theorems. Some examples are given to show the usability of the obtained results.

Rhoades (1996) proved a fixed point theorem in a boundedD-metric space for a contractive self-map with applications. Here we establish a more general fixed point theorem in an unboundedD-metric space, for two self-maps satisfying a general contractive condition with a restricted domain ofxandy. This has been done by using the notion of semicompatible maps inD-metric space. These results generalize and improve the results of Rhoades (1996), Dhage et al. (2000), and Veerapandi and Rao (1996). These results also underline the necessity and importance of semicompatibility in fixed point theory ofD-metric spaces. All the results of this paper are new.

In this paper we present an extension of fixed point theorem for self mappings on metric spaces endowed with a graph and which satisfies a Bianchini contraction condition. We establish conditions which ensure the existence of fixed point for a non-self Bianchini contractions T : K ⊂ X → X that satisfy Rothe’s boundary condition T (∂K) ⊂ K.

The objective of this paper is to emphasize the role of “common limit range property” to ascertain the existence of common fixed point in fuzzy metric spaces. Some illustrative examples are furnished which demonstrate the validity of the hypotheses and degree of utility of our results. We derive a fixed point theorem for four finite families of self-mappings which can be utilized to derive common fixed point theorems involving any finite number of mappings. As an application to our main result, we prove an integral-type fixed point theorem in fuzzy metric space. Our results improve and extend a host of previously known results including the ones contained in Imdad et al. (2012).

Starting from the results, established in [Albu, M., A fixed point theorem of Maia-Perov type. Studia Univ. Babes¸- Bolyai Math., 23 (1978), No. 1, 76–79] and [Mures¸an, V., Basic problem for Maia-Perov’s fixed point theorem, Seminar on Fixed Point Theory, Babes¸ Bolyai Univ., Cluj-Napoca, (1988), Preprint Nr. 3, pp. 43–48] where fixed point theorems of Maia-Perov type are proved, the main aim of this paper is to extend this results to product metric spaces, using Presiˇ c type operators. An existence, uniqueness and data dependence theorem related to the ´ solution of the system of integral equations of Fredholm type in product metric spaces, is also presented.
