The purpose of this paper is to discuss the existence and uniqueness of fixed points for new classes of mappings defined on a complete metric space. The obtained results generalize some recent theorems in the literature. Several applications and interesting consequences of our theorems are also given.

In this paper we provide some existence and uniqueness theorems for coupled fixed points for a pair of contractive operators satisfying a mixed monotone property, in a metric space endowed with a reflexive relation. An application to a first-order differential system equation with PBV conditions is also given to illustrate the utility of our results.

Let f be a continuous self-map on a complete metric space X and p ∈ X. Let c be a positive real. Equivalent conditions are given for the singleton {p} to be an attractor of a set of c−fixed points of f. We also establish equivalent conditions for the existence of a contractive fixed point of f. These results subsume a body of fixed point theorems.

We will introduce the concept ofn-tupled fixed points (for positive integern) in fuzzy metric space by mild modification of the concept ofn-tupled fixed points (for even positive intergern) introduced by Imdad et al. (2013) in metric spaces. As application of the above-mentioned concept, we will establish somen-tupled fixed point theorems for contractive type mappings in fuzzy metric space which extends the result of Roldán et al. (2013). Also we have given an application to solve a kind of Lipschitzian systems fornvariables and an integral system.

Our goal in this paper is to prove some fixed point and common fixed theorems for contractive type maps in a CMS over Banach algebra, which unify, extend and generalize most of the existing relevant fixed point theorems from Shaoyuan Xu and Stojan Radenovic [1]. We provide illustrative example to verify our results.

In this paper, the concept of contraction mapping on a -metric space is extended with a consideration on local contraction.  As a result, two fixed point theorems were proved for contraction on a closed ball in a complete -metric space.

Some fixed point theorems for -contractive maps and -contractive maps on a complete metric space are proved. Presented fixed point theorems generalize many results existing in the literature.

The purpose of this paper is to obtain some common fixed point theorems for a family of mappings in a complete metric space. The results herein improve some of the recent theorems of Kiyoshi Iséki (Bull. Austral. Math. Soc. 10 (1974), 365–370).

In this paper, we establish fixed point theorems for α - F -convex contraction mappings in b -metric space and prove the existence and uniqueness of fixed points for such mappings. Our result extends and generalizes comparable results in the existing literature. Finally, we provide an example in support of our main finding.

Our aim of this paper is to prove some fixed point and common fixed theorems for contractive type maps in a cone metric space over Banach algebra, which unify, extend and generalize most of the existing relevant fixed point theorems from Jiang et al. [1].

In this paper we prove two common fixed point theorems by considering four mappings in complete metric space. In the first theorem we consider two pairs of compatible mappings of type (A) and in the second theorem we consider two pairs of compatible mappings of type (B). Our results modify and extend some earlier results in the literature.© 2012 JSR Publications. ISSN: 2070-0237 (Print); 2070-0245 (Online).
