To the Editor.— We read with great interest the article entitled "Lupus Nephritis: Prognostic Factors in Children" by McCurdy et al.1 The authors examined multiple factors as possible prognostic indicators of eventual tual renal failure in 90 children with lupus nephritis. This represents a large cohort of patients with pediatric lupus nephritis and the authors should be commended on their efforts. However, we feel it is important to point out some shortcomings of this study. The patients initially were seen between 1970 and 1983.
