This study examines the relationships between parental attachment, peer attachment, and subjective feelings of emotional loneliness. Three alternative models were tested in a group of 440 graduating psychology students at Ghent University in Belgium. The first hypothesis explored the linear causal relationship between parental attachment, peer attachment, and feelings of emotional loneliness. The second hypothesis tested the direct relationship between parental attachment and feelings of emotional loneliness, and the third hypothesis examined the reciprocity between feelings of emotional loneliness and peer attachment. Using Structural Equation Modeling, results showed that peer attachment mediates strongly between parental attachment and feelings of emotional loneliness. The direct contribution of parental attachment to feelings of emotional loneliness was rather weak. Finally, feelings of emotional loneliness did not contribute significantly to the explanation of peer-attachment style.

Students pick up the perception that mathematics is abstract and therefore, the learning of mathematics would yield to them no benefit. With their attitude towards mathematics modelled and their interest for mathematics impacted by this automatic generated perception, they may never again appreciate the beauty of mathematics. In this paper, the researchers used structural equation modeling (SEM), to investigate the variables that affect students’ interest, among the variables, students’ confidence and motivation. The foregoing variables were conceptualized to have a direct effect on students’ interest in mathematics, whilst mathematics anxiety and students’ knowledge of the usefulness of mathematics were conceptualized to have indirect effects on their interest in mathematics moderated by students’ confidence and motivation. The result showed that significantly students’ confidence directly affects students’ interest in the learning of mathematics and there is a direct relationship between confidence and motivation. A student’s knowledge about the usefulness of mathematics indirectly increases the student’s interest in mathematics.

The present study is centered on mobile hotel reservations in the investigation of the interrelationships between value, attitude, satisfaction, and reuse intention in consideration of the moderating roles of the channel familiarity and the channel type. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the research hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling and multiple-group analyses. The casual relationships proposed among the study variables were found to all be significant, and the importance of the utilitarian value was substantiated. Moreover, the analysis results denoted that the channel familiarity is an important moderator that affects the strength of the relationships between (1) the attitude and the reuse intention and (2) satisfaction and the reuse intention, which suggests that a different approach should be arranged for novice and expert users. Also, channel type moderated the links between (1) hedonic value and satisfaction, (2) utilitarian value and satisfaction, (3) attitude and the reuse intention, and (4) satisfaction and the reuse intention, which separately provided more relevant implications for the hotel owned and the third-party owned channels.

Partisipasi berpengaruh signifikan dan juga memiliki hubungan langsung dangan Kinerja Keuangan Pemerintah Daerah Kota Parepare setelah dimoderasi oleh Nilai-nilai dasar budaya Siri’. This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of Accountability, Transparency, and Participation on the Financial Performance of the Government of Parepare City. The influence of Accountability, Transparency and Participation which is moderated by Siri’ cultural basic values on financial performance of the government of parepare city. This research is descriptive quantitative using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with an alternative method using Partial Least Square (PLS) through the Smart PLS 3.2.9. The results of this study indicate that accountability has no significant effect on and also does not have a direct relationship with the Financial Performance of the Government of Parepare City transparency has a significant effect on and also has a direct relationship to the Financial Performance of the Government of Parepare City, participation has no significant effect on and also does not have direct relationship with the Financial Performance of the Government of Parepare City, Accountability has no significant effect on and also has no direct relationship with the Financial Performance of the Government of Parepare City even though it is moderated by the basic values Siri' culture transparency has a significant effect on and also has a direct relationship with the Financial Performance of the Government of Parepare City after moderated by the basic Siri' culture. Participation has a significant effect on and also has a direct relationship with the Financial Performance of the Government of Parepare City after moderated by the basic values Siri’ culture.

The main obstacle affecting the natural and herbal products industry is the infringement of trade patents. This resulted in losing the opportunity to compete with others in this business. Creating additional value to this business is, therefore, a way of leading to patenting for trade protection for entrepreneurs. This study was conducted to develop the structural equation modeling of guidelines for creating additional value for Thai herbs to support trade patent. The study comprises a mixed method with three parts. In the first part, data comes from interviews with selected 9 specialists. The second part was supported by interviews to create the questionnaire and distributed it to 500 entrepreneurs, the next step was the data analysis using structural equation modeling (SEM). The third part used data from the SEM model to discussion focused on developing the conceptual model by 7 experts. The analysis of the developed model passed the criteria for evaluating consistency and empirical data. All hypotheses proposed in this study were supported, the findings revealed that all factors had a direct effect at a statistically significant level of 0.001. Furthermore, this investigation allows knowing the Brand Identity factor were practically important for creating value of Thai herbs leading to patent protection.

It is shown that a minimal assumption should be added to the assumptions of Classical Test Theory (CTT) in order to have positive inter-item correlations, which are regarded as a basis for the aggregation of items. Moreover, it is shown that the assumption of zero correlations between the error score estimates is substantially violated in the population of individuals when the number of items is small. Instead, a negative correlation between error score estimates occurs. The reason for the negative correlation is that the error score estimates for different items of a scale are based on insufficient true score estimates when the number of items is small. A test of the assumption of uncorrelated error score estimates by means of structural equation modeling (SEM) is proposed that takes this effect into account. The SEM-based procedure is demonstrated by means of empirical examples based on the Edinburgh Handedness Inventory and the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire-Revised.

Abstract. Given the fact that most of the dark personality measures are developed based on data collected in low-stake settings, the present study addresses the appropriateness of their use in high-stake contexts. Specifically, we examined item- and scale-level differential functioning of the Short Dark Triad (SD3; Paulhus & Jones, 2011 ) measure across testing contexts. The Short Dark Triad was administered to applicant ( N = 457) and non-applicant ( N = 592) samples. Item- and scale-level invariances were tested using an Item Response Theory (IRT)-based approach and a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach, respectively. Results show that more than half of the SD3 items were flagged for Differential Item Functioning (DIF), and Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling (ESEM) results supported configural, but not metric invariance. Implications for theory and practice are discussed.
