Learning with technology or e-learning has been taking place in all areas of education including in learning and teaching of Arabic language. Despite the widespread use of e-learning for Arabic language, in line with the current technological advancements, the role of face-to-face classroom interactions must not be neglected. Face-to-face learning and e-learning have their own strengths.  Hence, a combination of both elements in teaching and learning as afforded by blended learning may be an excellent choice. This study seeks to identify student readiness in learning Arabic language based on blended learning approach among students at university level.  The research took place at University Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia involving 248 students.  The students were asked to answer the distributed questionnaires.  The questionnaires used 1-5 points Likert scale which are strongly not agree, not agree, not sure, agree and strongly agree. The need analysis encompassed the presence of facilities supporting blended learning, the internet and e-learning literacy among students and their readiness to adopt blended learning. The findings highlight the important roles played by both the students and the institution in providing facilities needed to support blended learning. The findings also reported that the existing facilities are in a state of readiness for the implementation of blended learning. The institution provides wireless connection throughout the campus while 96% of the students own a laptop. In addition, students are also discovered to be internet-savvy besides displaying readiness to adopt blended learning. Further studies are recommended in exploring how to design and develop successful blended learning in teaching and learning Arabic language.

The main purpose of this action research is to determine the effect of continuous supervision on improving the pedagogic competence of teachers in Planning and Implementing Online Learning at SDN Wonokusumo VI/45 Surabaya. In addition, because there are other alternative actions, this action research also aims to determine the class teacher's teaching preparation and the suitability, accuracy and integration of the online learning plans that have been prepared. Online or online learning is considered a solution for teaching and learning activities to continue in the midst of the corona pandemic. Online learning is learning without face to face directly between teachers and students, but is done online. Learning is done through video conferencing, e-learning or distance learning. Although it has been agreed, this method is controversial. For teachers, the online learning system is only effective for assignments. They consider that to make students understand the material, the online method is considered difficult. The implementation of continuous supervision in an effort to improve the pedagogic competence of teachers in Planning and Implementing Online Learning was carried out on 14 teachers at SDN Wonokusumo VI/45 Surabaya through a mechanism of 2 cycles, each of which used 11 effective school days. Cycle I, which was held on August 1-15, 2021, achieved 21% completeness in the poor category, while in cycle II, which was held on August 16-31, 2021, it was able to achieve 100% cycle completion in the very good category. From these results, the authors convey that the implementation of continuous supervision is very effective in improving the pedagogic competence of teachers in Planning and Implementing Online Learning at SDN Wonokusumo VI/45 Surabaya. The increase in pedagogic competence is only limited to aspects of planning and implementing online learning and several other factors that influence besides continuous supervision are the quality of online learning plans, the existence of supporting school infrastructure and training.

Student respect for teachers is one of the important aspects of the student-teacherrelationship, which is considered an important component of the school climate.Given the significant role of the school climate in predicting students’ violenceagainst teachers, the aim of this study was to examine the relationship betweenperceptions of students’ respect for teachers and students’ violence against teachers. The research was conducted with two survey questionnaires intended for samplesof students and teachers, and 451 students and 102 high school teachers in the Cityof Zagreb participated in the research. The perception of respect for teachers anddifferent forms of violence was examined by assessing participants’ agreement ona six-point Likert-type scale (1 – strongly agree, 6 – strongly disagree). The resultsindicate that students and teachers, on average, feel that students respect teachers toa greater extent, and that they perceive different forms of violence against teachersto a lesser extent. The correlation analysis found a statistically significant negativeassociation between respect for teachers and various forms of student violenceagainst teachers. It can be concluded that respect for teachers plays an importantrole in explaining the occurrence of students’ violence against teachers. Amongst open-source e-learning systems, WebGoat, a progression of OWASP, provides some room for teaching the penetration testing techniques. Yet, it is a major concern of its learners as to whether the WebGoat interface is user-friendly enough to help them acquaint themselves of the desired Web application security knowledge. This chapter encompasses a heuristic evaluation of this application to acquire the usability of contemporary version of WebGoat. In this context of evaluation, the in-house formal lab testing of WebGoat was conducted by the authors. The results highlight some important issues and usability problems that frequently pop-up in the contemporary version. The research results would be pivotal to the embedding of an operational as well as user-friendly interface for its future version.

Recent advances in the field of digital technology have had a significant role in changing the concept of learning and teaching for both students and teachers. These developments have enabled educational systems to move from their traditional classroom-based teaching models to a more enhanced blended/e-learning approach including an array of electronic learning tools such as digital microscopy, electronic cell counter, 3D virtual reality, and demonstration videos. An integration of these digital tools along with contemporary face-to-face teaching can significantly improve student learning outcomes and provide convenient and flexible access to education and training. This model demonstrated a positive impact on laboratory-based courses such as Laboratory Medicine at Griffith University. The objective of this chapter is to highlight the impact and advantages of this particular model from the student- and teacher-based perspective. This chapter will also discuss some of the challenges of implementing this mode of teaching and provide future directions.
