The applicative theory used as a supporting statement is the concept of Henry Mintzberg's interpersonal managerial role. It is undeniable to see the gap between management theory and the concept of social interaction in Islam. The term defined by some experts is bounded value, individual, and nonexclusive. The theory emphasizes more on the system through management functions, whereas in Islam, the leadership figures are more desirable. This study answers, how is the application of interpersonal managerial roles in the Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School from Henry Mintzberg's perspective? The method used in this study is qualitative research with observation and interview instruments as tools of data collection. From the results of data collection, researchers conducted descriptive analysis steps namely categorization, reduction, and interpretation. The results show that Kiai's interpersonal managerial role forms as: first, Kiai al-Ishlah figure, and the ceremonial stage of the leadership. Second, the pattern of the al-Ishlah Islamic boarding school organization, personal improvement, independence, productivity, and special training. Third, educational cooperation and equality cooperation. The implication is that it is understandable that management theory is not the main theory used in an Islamic boarding school because the managerial role of Kiai managerial firmly determines the pace of Islamic boarding school management

This research deepens the concept of Henry Mintzberg who gives hard criticism that most managers can not be classified definitively into management functions. Thus allowing manager to play his/her managerial’s roles which consist of interpersonal, informational, and decisional. So, this study will synthesize interpersonal’s role of the managers. Meanwhile, an independent position of this research is the manager's inspiration to play his/her roles in decision making. The main objective of this research is leader’s inspiration through the process of meditation, mediation, and reflection of the main Kyais in Pesantren Bendakerep Cirebon Indonesia. This objective can be answered deeply only with qualitative’s kind of research through cultural approach. The data which is collected through interview, observation and documents analysis, after going through triangulation stage, will be analyzed through categorization, reduction, and interpretation. The findings show that the Kyai’s efforts of decision making is by obeying the ancestor inheritances both materialistic and imaterialistic, to dig the inspiration through meditation, mediation and reflection in the form of decisions. Keywords: Managerial roles, leadership inspiration, traditional pesantren

This research is motivated by the role of the Regional Budget Revenue (APBD) in the welfare of the community. The APBD of the City of Bukitttinggi needs to be criticized as an effort to improve and appropriately suggest the use of the APBD, because if the APBD is well managed then the community will benefit, but if not then the community will not feel the benefits.In general, this study aims to describe the Preparing the Regional Budget for the City of Bukittinggi: An Overview of Management and Maslahah Aspects .This research uses descriptive analysis type of research. The focus of his research is on the preparation of regional revenue and expenditure budget designs in the city of Bukittinggi based on the Bottom Up and Top Dwon approach which will later be associated with management functions namely , Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC) and then reviewed with aspects to Maslahahan .Data collection instruments are interviews and observations at the research location and also based on documents and related articles. The data anasilis technique is qualitative. The results of this study indicate that in the Process of Preparing and Utilizing Regional Budget and Revenue (APBD) in the City of Bukittinggi: An Overview of Management Aspects there is a suitability and incompatibility, especially in terms of the time of preparation and the determination that is not timely.Then from the aspect of Maslahah, it was found that there were maslahah both ' Ammah and Khassah .

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena minat baca siswa dan pengaruh minat baca terhadap pertumbuhan kemampuan belajar siswa pada jenjang-jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya. Kepala sekolah sebagai lokomotif perkembangan mutu pendidikan memiliki peran strategi bagi pengumbuhan dan pengembangan minat baca peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepala madrasah sebagai edukator, manajer, dan innovator dalam pengembangan minat baca peserta didik di MIT Nurul Islam Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif lapangan, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan triangulasi, serta dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Peran kepala madrasah sebagai edukator dalam pengembangan minat baca peserta didik meliputi meliputi tiga pembinaan, yakni pembinaan mental dan moral, serta pembinaan artistik. 2) Peran kepala madrasah sebagai manajer dalam pengembangan minat baca peserta didik di MIT Nurul Islam meliputi penerapan fungsi-fungsi manajemen dengan didasarkan pada pada kerjasama dengan USAID dan UIN Walisongo Semarang. 3) Peran kepala madrasah sebagai innovator dalam pengembangan minat baca peserta didik di MIT Nurul Islam Kota Semarang meliputi inovasi strategi, pola pikir (mindset) dan struktur. Abstract This research is motivated by the phenomenon of reading interest of students and the influence of reading interest on the growth of students' learning ability in the next level of education. The principal as a locomotive of the development of the quality of education has a strategic role for the growth and development of reading interest of learners. This study aims to determine the role of principal as an educator, manager, and innovator in the development of reading interest of learners in MIT Nurul Islam Semarang City. This research is a qualitative field research, data collected through observation, interview, documentation and triangulation, and analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The role of principal as an educator in the development of reading interest of learners includes three activities are coaching, namely mental and moral coaching, and artistic coaching. 2) The role of principal as manager in the development of reading interest of learners at MIT Nurul Islam covers the application of management functions based on cooperation with USAID and UIN Walisongo Semarang. 3) The role of principal as innovator in the development of reading interest of learners at MIT Nurul Islam Semarang City includes innovation strategy, mindset, and structure.

The leadership of the kiai becomes very important in Islamic boarding school because the development of the quality of pesantren education depends on the competence of the leader, the meaning of the leader here is the kiai or caretaker of the boarding school. This study aims to describe the first role of leadership in improving the quality of education, secondly the leadership of kiai that is effective in improving the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools.This research uses a qualitative method, with a case study in Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School in Malang. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation and observation techniques. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative methods and inductive thinking patterns. The purpose is to analyze the data obtained from field objects, and then to be related to relevant theories.The results showed: 1) The role of the kiai in improving quality in the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic boarding school in Malang is as a manager, educator, human resource empowerment, decision maker, attainee of the pesantren, motivator and supervisor. 2) Effective kiai leadership is leadership that builds cooperation with kiai or other institutions, regenerates kiai and builds good relations with the community.

The objective of the study was to analyze the role of islamic boarding school in preventing radicalism in Rejang Lebong regency. The study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data collection was done though interview, documentation and observation. The result showed that in playing the role, islamic boarding school recently became the target of people's distrust: this was the place of radicalism and terrorism. According to the analysis, there was no school found as the place of radicalism and terrorism. Some schools even actively prevent radicalism and terrorism effectively. In conclusion, the role of islamic boarding schools in Rejang Lebong to prevent radicalism and terrorism through the tight control was effective. One of the functions of education is to form the character of students. Character building is a system of inculcating character values ​​to students through competency achievement activities in accordance with the level of education. Character education at the institutional level leads to the formation of values ​​that underlie individual behavior applied in society. The problem that arises in this research lies in fostering student character so that it gives rise to several research questions such as: How to plan students’ character development at Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh in building student character, How is the implementation of the Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh program  in fostering student character and what are the implications of the Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh program in fostering students’ character. The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts made by ustaz ustazah in planning student character development in Ma'had, to determine the implementation of the Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh program and to find out what are the implications of the Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh program. in building student character. The research method in this thesis uses qualitative research methods in the form of descriptive analysis. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results in this thesis research indicate that planning at the beginning of the program that  students are required to live in a dormitory and the role of dorm supervisor is very important for students in the dormitory. They carry out disciplinary attitudes through congregational prayers, Implementation of the Ma'had program through the Tsaqafah Islamiyah program, the Tahsin program and the Dormitory program. The ma'had program is very beneficial for students, because undergoing activities in a dormitory is like living in an Islamic boarding school. Surely, it really helps them in doing good things, especially in worship to get closer to the Khaliq and many other positive things that students get during this program. They can manage their time in discipline.

Practice of Public Relations have recently tended to blur the original concept launched by Public Relations founders. Even though a practice of a Public Relations take a crucial role in run management functions so that the relationship between the companies concerned with the public can be harmoniously intertwined. Hence, the purpose of this research is to determining how the form of deviations from duties and functions of Public Relations in build corporate image. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, descriptive analysis which describes the role of Operational Secretary (OPS) as Public Relations in enhancing the corporate image for a supplier company engaged in construction services business in Batam and the data analysis techniques used by investigators are components of the data analysis by Miles and Huberman Interactive Model. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of the duties and functions of Public Relations as an effort to build corporate image. Implementation of Public Relations activities can not be said optimal because does not have a special section in handling the tasks and functions of Public Relations, but delegate tasks and functions of Public Relations is the Operational Secretary (OPS). The absence of a separate section of Public Relations, limited resources that can be used, and other administrative work that must be done by Operational Secretary (OPS) which takes time and focus is the obstacle faced by Operational Secretary (OPS) in performing duties and functions as Public Relations. The conclusion of this research shows that public relations is a very important to role in build a corporate image. Public Relations role maintaining good communication and relationship with internal and external public companies, to increase the company's existence. With emphasis on quality of service for consumers, establish good relationships with various public companies and tried to give a good impression in the community. This study aims to determine the physical fitness condition of students in the Darul Huda Mayak Islamic boarding school, Ponorogo. This research uses descriptive method with survey research. The selected sample was 150 students with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) instrument. Analysis of the data used is in the form of descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate: the 50m run value in the Excellent category is 62.67% with frequency of 94 students. The hanging up value in the Less category is 20.67% with frequency of 31 students. The Sit up value in the Moderate category is 36.67% with frequency of 55 students. The vertical jump value in the Less category is 62.00% with frequency of 93 students. The 1000 m run value in the Less category is 53.33% with frequency of 80 students. The TKJI score in the Medium category is 67.33% with frequency of 101 students.

Mastering Arabic language is essential for Muslims as the language serves as a fundamental tool to understand and implement Islamic values. It is due to the fact that sources of these Islamic values, as in al-Qur'an and Sunnah, are accessible primarily through Arabic language. Both formal and informal education undertakings to master the language are then encouraged in this community. In connection to the dissemination and internalization of child-friendly values, it is necessary that the teaching of Arabic be carried out within this framework. Using descriptive analysis as the method, this paper discusses how these values may work in an Islamic environment such as Darunajah Islamic Boarding School. Data collection is done through observation, in-depth interviews, library research, and triangulation. In this study, components of Arabic language teaching which include educators, students, material, learning processes and evaluation, are put in relation to child-friendly values. The study shows that formal teaching of Arabic in Darunnajah Islamic boarding school has been in line with the framework of child-friendly values, in the part of educators while dealing and manage their students, also in the part of the textbooks and teaching materials, their contents, oral drills and presentation, also in the part of learning and evaluation processes.

Bathara Katong merupakan salah satu leluhur yang menyiarkan agama Islam di Kaliwungu. Penghargaan Kaliwungu sebagai kota santri tidak terlepas dari peran penting Bathara Katong, warna masyarakat Kaliwungu yang religius hingga saat ini merupakan salah satu pengaruh ajaran Bathara Katong. Data penelitian ini berupa ajaran Bathara Katong yaitu tradisi lisan dan tradisi bukan lisan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah data dari informan yaitu juru kunci makam Sunan Katong di Kaliwungu, juru kunci tempat sembahyang Sunan Ampel (nama lain Sunan Katong) di Kendal kota, tokoh masyarakat Kaliwungu, tokoh masyarakat Kendal, dan masyarakat umum Kaliwungu. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Kemudian data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu ajaran Bathara Katong di Kaliwungu ada yang masih rutin dijalankan, dan ada yang sudah jarang dilaksanakan, namun sebagian besar masyarakat Kaliwungu tidak mengetahui bahwa ajaran tersebut merupakan ajaran Bathara Katong. Ajaran Bathara Katong di Kaliwungu penting untuk dilestarikan tidak hanya oleh masyarakat Kaliwungu namun juga oleh tokoh masyarakat, masyarakat Kaliwungu harus berani mengakui bahwa warna masyarakat Kaliwungu hingga saat ini merupakan hasil perjuangan leluhur seperti Bathara Katong. Abstraks Bathara Katong is one of the ancestors who broadcast Islam in Kaliwungu. The Kaliwungu award as a city of santri is inseparable from the important role of Bathara Katong, the color of the religious Kaliwungu community to date is one of the influences of the teachings of Bathara Katong. This research data is in the form of Bathara Katong teachings namely oral traditions and traditions rather than oral. The data sources of this research are data from informants namely the caretaker of the tomb of Sunan Katong in Kaliwungu, the caretaker of the prayer place of Sunan Ampel (another name is Sunan Katong) in Kendal city, Kaliwungu community leaders, Kendal community leaders, and the Kaliwungu general public. The data collection of this study uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Then the data obtained were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this study are the teachings of Bathara Katong in Kaliwungu which are still routinely carried out, and some are rarely implemented, but most of the Kaliwungu people do not know that the teachings are the teachings of Bathara Katong. The Bathara Katong teaching in Kaliwungu is important to be preserved not only by the Kaliwungu community but also by community leaders, the Kaliwungu community must dare to admit that the colors of the Kaliwungu community up to now are the result of ancestral struggles such as Bathara Katong.
