Determination of plumbum (Pb) residue distribution in the organs of milkfish, Chanos chanos reared in different water salinities was performed in a 2,000 l fiberglass container under laboratory condition. Water salinity levels as treatment were 10, 20, and 30 ppt. Milkfishes (100±14 g) obtained from local farmer were reared in 2,000 l fiberglass container at density of 40 individu/l. The fishes were exposured with Pb at 2 ppm. Sampling were conducted at 0 (initial), 7, 14 and 21 days after application of Pb. Pb was extracted from flesh, kidney, liver, intestine, and gill, and determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Results showed that Pb residue in milkfish organs increase when water salinity decrease. The highest Pb residue concentration found in kidney followed by liver, intestine, flesh and gill.

The maximum level of mercury permitted in fish by BPOM RI is 0.5 mg/kg. This study was conducted to determine the level of mercury in fish often consumed in Medan Indonesia. Fish samples were collected from 7 traditional fish market outlets and 1 supermarket in Medan in December 2019. Fish samples were dried using an oven at 1030C untill a constant dry weight was attained. Then, the digestionprocess was carried out using concentrated nitric acid and perchloric acid. Determination of mercury level was carried out using CV-AAS method with 900 H Perkin Elmer atomic absorption spectrophotometer equipped with MHS-15 (Mercury Hidride System). The results showed that the level of mercury in pelagic fish was found significantly in yellowfin tuna (Thunnusalbacares) of 27.3865 ± 0.3326 µg/kg; mackerel tuna (Euthynnusaffinis) of 17.8570 ± 0.0121 µg/kg; skipjack tuna(Katsuwonuspelamis) of 17.4507 ± 1.5893 µg/kg; spanish mackerel (Scomberomoruscommersonii) of 10.5767 ± 0.1862 µg/kg; grouper (Epinepheusfuscoguttatus) of  9.9736 ± 0.9115 µg/kg; mackerel (Rastreligerkanagurta) of  6.5364 ± 0.1935 µg/kg and dumersal fish were found significantly in red snapper (Lutjanuscampechanus) of 14.0966 ± 0.8555 µg/kg; stingray(Dasyatissp) of 61.3146 ± 0.8149 µg/kg; ariid catfish (Arius thalassinus) of 13.2533 ± 0.7586 µg/kg; black pomfret(Parastromateusniger) of 10.7755 ± 0.4605 µg/kg; sardine(Sardinellasp) of 6.5464 ± 0.1036. The results showed that the larger fish has the higher mercury level. The level of mercury in these analyzed fish samples was below maximum level permitted by BPOM RI.

The research about validation of the method of Hg determination on the sample from wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) PT. Badak NGL Bontang, Kalimantan Timur using cold vapour-atomic absorption spectrophotometer (CV-AAS) techniques has been conducted. To obtain a valid measurement result, determinations of the important several parameters that influence the method validation are used. The results of research showed that 20% SnCl2 solution could be used as a reducing agent. The analytic performance of measurement obtain is good, showed with the linearity (r) value ≥ 0.995, LOD was 0.2530 ppb, LOQ was 0.8432 ppb, MDL was 0.6427 ppb and repeatability and reproducibility are shown as % RSD < 2/3 CV Horwitz values. The accuracy of this method is very good with a percentage of recovery value of 114.88%. Based on the results of this research, CV-AAS method can be used in the determination of Hg in WWTP samples with the valid results.

Batang Kuantan River is a river that still has a wild gold mine along the flow. Problems arising from the gold mine is the content of the metal it produces, one of which is mercury. Mercury is used in gold mining This research was conducted to see the mercury contained in the water in the flow of Batang Kuantan river. Geochemical studies have been performed by determining the pH and concentration of metal mercury (Hg) determination in water samples using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results showed that The concentration of Hg on samples A1 and A3 is 0.009 mg / L and 0.0078 mg / L. The A2 and A3 samples found a low reading of the limit of detection. The concentration values of Hg samples A1 and A4 are above the standards specified by PP No.82 tahun 2001 i.e 0.002 mg/L.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still a health problem in Indonesia. This is because DHF can cause decease, and the incidence is always increasing. Vector control efforts in Semarang Regency can be done by knowing mosquito bionomics, so one of the actions can be taken is to modify the environment, so that the Ae. aegypti mosquito feels uncomfortable about our environment. This type of research is pure experimental. In this research, mosquito larva will be the subject to be breeded using water with various degrees of acidity (pH) and salinity, then the ability to reproduce in various water with the pH and salinity levels is observed. The sample used was F1 larva originating from breeding places using ovitrap in Semarang Regency. Based on the results of the study showed that the most preferred container of the Ae. Aegypti mosquito for oviposition is a container made of plastic and can. The most optimal water pH for instar 2 larva breeding is water with a pH of 9, followed by water with a pH of 8 and 7. The most optimal water salinity for instar 2 larva breeding is water with a 0-6gr / l salinity.

Abstract Dibutyltin dilaurate is extracted from finished feed with warm chloroform. The chloroform extract is filtered and a 25 ml aliquot is concentrated in the presence of methanol until all traces of chloroform are removed. The methanol solution is diluted and feed interferences are removed by filtration. The filtered solution is aspirated into an atomic absorption spectrophotometer with a triple-slot burner head, using an air-acetylene flame. The instrument response to tin at 286.3 nm is recorded. Essentially theoretical recovery (100.5— 101.9%) has been obtained for tin in laboratory-mixed feeds.
