The application of academic information system (siakad) a web-based college is essential to improve the academic services. Siakad the application has many obstacles, especially in dealing with a high amount of access that caused the overload. Moreover in case of hardware or software failure caused siakad inaccessible. The solution of this problem is the use of many existing servers where the load is distributed in the respective server. Need a method of distributing the load evenly in the respective server load balancing is the method by round robin algorithm so high siakad scalability. As for dealing with the failure of a server need fault tolerance for the availability siakad be high. This research is to develop methods of load balancing and fault tolerance using software linux virtual server and some additional programs such as ipvsadm and heartbeat that has the ability to increase scalability and availability siakad. The results showed that with load balancing to minimize the response time to 5,7%, increase throughput by 37% or 1,6 times and maximize resource utilization or utilization of 1,6 times increased, and avoid overload. While high availability is obtained from the server's ability to perform failover or move another server in the event of failure. Thus implementing load balancing and fault tolerance can improve the service performance of siakad and avoid mistakes.

Academic services are probably the most important aspect to achieve excellence in a university. Every university applies strategies to improve their service quality for example an integrated academic information system that has been run by Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI). Due to the students as the object of services, it is important to evaluate their level of satisfaction regarding to the academic service performance that they have experienced. This research aimed to analyze the students’ satisfaction on a WEB based academic information system in UMI using path analysis. The research phases started from determining hypothesis, collecting questionnaire data, identifying variables, analyzing data using path analysis, and analyzing model. The variables tested were students’ registration, course schedule, course grades and assistantships. In this research, a model was created to measure the level of users’ satisfaction by information system based services. The results of this research is the level of satisfaction in student registration services that higher than the course schedule, course grades, and academic assistantships and a gain of confidence to the student that is equal to 17%. Academic information system (SIMAK) on academic service system of UMI can be analyzed by using path analysis and obtained student satisfaction result 69%..

In the world of information technology has changed the lifestyle in the aspect of our lives especially in the educational world. E-Raport is an academic information system used to input web-based student value data. The current value data input system is a benchmark for the creation of quality output and able to compete with other schools. One of the benchmarks that can be the competitiveness for other schools is the result of student learning assessments that are handled by each class. Problems that occur in the input of the value of Raport at SDN Sukanagara is currently still a manual that is the value of Raport recorded in the book Raport, so it takes a long time and a lot of energy needed. Research has the purpose of designing a value information system that facilitates the checking, recording and reporting of the computerized value of the students. Computerized Raport value reports can minimize errors in student data processing. This WEB based online raport is very easy data information and can be accessed anytime and anywhere, the system design works to insert and save value Report data and attendance and display info from school. The system uses data collection methods such as interviews, library studies, and system design, which are context diagrams, and prototypes. The information system of online Raport SDN Sukanagara is expected to be able to bring positive impact to the educational world, especially for SDN Sukanagara in the development of information technology applied in the world of education.

This study aims to design a web-based academic information system at STIEM Bongaya Makassar. During this academic service to students is still done manually, for example at the end of the semester students usually queue up to see grades and class schedules that use paper media that is posted on the bulletin board, so servants to students become ineffective and inefficient. With the advancement of information technology such as internet media, it can support the academic activities of a college. So with the use of internet media students do not need to come directly to the lecture to get academic information The web-based academic information system at STIEM Bongaya Makassar is expected to provide convenience in managing student data and academic services. This academic information system will later be web-based created using the Php and MySQL programming languages ​​as a database, and white box testing as a testing method to find out whether an application has been made free of logical errors

Cloud computing is the cutting edge technology in the information field to provide services to the users over the internet through web–based tools and applications. One of the major aspects of cloud computing is load balancing. Challenges like Quality of service (QoS) metrics and resource utilization can be improved by balancing the load in cloud environment. Specific scheduling criteria can be applied using load balancing for users prioritization. This paper surveys different load balancing algorithms. The approaches that are existing are discussed and analyzed to provide fair load balancing and also a comparative analysis was presented for the performance of the existing different load balancing schemes.

Academic Information System is a means of supporting academic activities in STMIK HangTuah Pekanbaru by utilizing web-based technology. However, the application of webtechnology on Academic information System in STMIK Hang Tuah Pekanbaru can notalways run as desired, sometimes the information system cannot be accessed due to technicalconstraints or other factors. Based on these problems, an application was created that couldrun on instant messages and could be used via smartphones or other devices as mediainformation for students, namely utilization of telegram bot based on PHP and MySQL asacademic information at STMIK Hang Tuah Pekanbaru. This telegram bot is made using theWebhook method and can run on all operating systems that have Telegram Messengerinstalled. This bot is able to provide academic information including lecture schedules, grades,filling in krs, short semester submissions and research submissions, it is hoped that thetelegram bot will make it easier for students to get academic information through smartphonedevices that can be accessed anytime.

Academic Information System (SIA) or Sistem Information Akademik (SIA) is an information system created to help the process of processing all school civitas data designed to assist the processing of all data of the school community. At  SMA N 1 Palembayan, grades, school civitas biodata, and enrollment of new students still utilize simple applications from Dapodik and Ms. Office applications and archived in the form of paper that causes data to be vulnerable to damage, and lost. In addition, the entire community of schools and the general public is difficult and slow in obtaining school information if at any time needed due to the dissemination of information that is still manual. Therefore, to facilitate schools  in the effective and efficient processing and dissemination of information, a web- based academic information system is needed. This academic information system was developed using PHP programming language with MySql storage media and supported by other programs. The final result of this research is the creation of a web-based academic information system that can present academic and non- academic information to schools easily and quickly for both the school community and the general public.

SISKA is an Academic Information System at Ganesha University of Education (UNDIKSHA) used for TESIS process. Starting from proposal submission, proposal seminar, pre thesis exam and thesis exam. So far the running application is still in web form. With so rapid development of Android-based applications, it will be made SISKA Android-based applications that will certainly make it easier for students and lecturers to access this application via Smartphone. In the development of this application will be used Eclipse commonly used for software development. Web-based SISKA application development into Android-based SISKA application provides a new look that is more user friendly, easy to use, and easy to access using smartphone

Academic information system is an important system in students learning’s activities because it’s used as connector between students and lecturers. In addition, academic information system also acts as a liaison between lecturers and other relevant external parties. Academic information system provides several services, both for students and lecturers. These facilities include the provision of information on study plans, grades, schedules, and courses. However, only a few facilities are frequently used so that the use of the academic information system is not optimal.The problem in this study is the need for an evaluation to determine the acceptance of the academic information system by users, so that the system can be improved and developed. This study aims to determine the acceptance of web-based academic information system by users at STMIK Sinar Nusantara Surakarta with the Technology Acceptance Model or TAM.
