In order to research thermal conductivity of fracture rock, fluid-heat coupling test and simulation are studied. Empirical equation of thermal conductivity is obtained and conductivity factor is ensured by test data. Based on the fluid-heat coupling model of heat-transfer, temperature field distribution of fracture rock is described. At the same time, the heat-transfer equation is discretized by using weighted residual Galerkin finite element. Combined with boundary condition and parameters, the temperature field in fractured rock mass is simulated by finite element method. The temperature of fractured rock mass under the action of the seepage is combined with the initial rock temperature, fluid temperature and the rate of the flow. Thermo-isoline is discontiguous at boundary of fracture, which shows that the seepage affects the distribution of temperature field. The change rate of temperture isoline is gradually reduced along the single fissure flow, therefore the rate of heat-transfer is decreased. The influence of fluid temperature to temperature distribution is small, but different fluid temperature obviously affects thermo-isoline.

A three-dimensional numerical model of the rock mass including ore body is established by FLAC3D software, and then the surface subsidence caused by backfilling under different roof thicknesses of mining stope (the vertical distance between upper mining limit and surface) are calculated and analyzed. By comparing the surface displacement, the stress distribution, and the damage zone under different conditions, the minimum roof thickness is determined.

In open pit mining, besides the value of the minerals obtained, the cost of waste rock removal determines the efficiency of the mining operation. The paper introduces the rock mass data processing method and modelisation of fractured rock mass to serve the optimal calculation of technological stages in mining. This code is a discrete fracture network (DFN) code that couple geometrical block system construction based on modelisation stochastic with RESOBLOK simulations. The method of three-dimensional modeling (3D) of the fractured rock mass in the quarry is based on the rock mass data, the geometrical parameters of the open pit mine. From there, the rock mass simulation models were used in the analysis of the stability analysis of open pit benches, the optimization of the blast design parameters at overburden benches, project construction materials, and technology projects for block stone extraction. An application in some open pit mines such as quarries of Vietnam is presented.
