In this study, Co0,7Zn1,3W powders were synthesized and investigated at the microwave region. The solid-state reaction method and self-propagating high-temperature synthesis were used to production of the two kinds of hexaferrite powders. The high-frequency magnetic properties under temperature effect have been studied. It is show, that there is a nonlinear dependence on temperature within the 0 – +40 °C temperature range.

Potassium hexatitanate (PHT) with chemical formula K2Ti6O13 has a tunnel structure formed by TiO2 octahedra sharing edges or corners and with the potassium atoms located in the tunnels. This material has attracted great interest in the areas of photocatalysis, reinforcement of materials, biomaterials, etc. This work summarizes a large number of studies about methods to prepare PHT since particle size can be modified from millimeter to nanometric scale according to the applied method. Likewise, the synthesis method has influenced the material properties as band-gap and the final mechanical performance of composites when the reinforcement is PHT. The knowing of synthesis, properties and applications of PHT is worthwhile for the design of new materials and for the development of new applications taking advantage of their inherent properties.

In this study, high-frequency electromagnetic-assisted ball-milling was used to prepare FeOOH/Cu catalyst. The combined effect of the high-frequency electromagnetic field and ball-milling resulted in the complete conversion of raw materials into FeOOH/Cu nanomagnetic hybrid at ~40 °C in only 30 h. Experiments showed that Rhodamine B was completely degraded within only 3 min, which was much faster than with previously reported catalysts. The combination effect of ball milling and microwave afforded excellent catalytic activity. Furthermore, the produced catalyst could be recovered easily using an external magnetic field for reuse. The influence of pH on the catalytic activity for degrading Rhodamine B, Phenol Red, Methyl Orange, and Methylene Blue were also investigated; Rhodamine B was completely degraded at pH 9 within only 2 min.
