Increasingly, manufacturing companies are focusing their efforts on exploring new markets. This new reality makes them strive for more efficient ways to offer their products at a lower cost and without losing their customization. As a result, the compromise between volume and customization (i.e. mass customization) is necessary and to support these product platforms have become a standard practice in the industry, especially the automotive one. However, another challenge arises with the use of platforms: the lack of an efficient way to develop product platforms that will bring a high level of customer satisfaction. The present work aims to develop a method capable of assisting global project groups for identifying representative failures in modules of product platforms and to set up product variations. It is intended to solve the problem of inefficient platform configuration for different markets, taking into account the specific application characteristics of each one. The methodological procedure is based on the Design Science Research (DSR) framework, according to which the work is carried out in six steps. The demonstration and evaluation steps of the solution were performed in the context of an automotive partner industry. The results show that is possible to use the method as a way to improve product platform configuration. The main contribution comes from the fact that the method performs a data analysis based on actual usage information under different product application conditions.

ABSTRACTBecause there are literally square kilometers of radioactively contaminated concrete surfaces within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) complex, the task (both scope and cost) of decontamination is staggering. Complex-wide cleanup using conventional methodology does not appear to be feasible for every facility because of prioritization, cost, and manual effort required. We are investigating the feasibility of using microbially influenced degradation (MID) of concrete as a unique, innovative approach for the decontamination of concrete. Currently, work is being conducted to determine the practicality and cost effectiveness of using this environmentally acceptable method for decontamination of large surface concrete structures. Under laboratory conditions, the biodecontamination process has successfully been used to remove 2 mm of the surface of concrete slabs. Subsequently, initial field application data from an ongoing pilot-scale demonstration have shown that an average of 2 mm of surface can be removed from meter-square areas of contaminated concrete. The cost for the process has been estimated as $1.29/m2. Methodologies for field application of the process are being developed and will be tested. This paper provides information on the MID process, laboratory evaluation of its use for decontamination, and results from the pilot field application.

There are many e-commerce sites that have been present in Indonesia, one of which is Shopee. Shopee is here to provide many attractive offers such as lots of discounts, promos, cashback etc. This can lead to consumptive behavior. This study aims to determine: (1) The effect of advertising on consumptive behavior (2) The effect of conformity on consumptive behavior (3) The influence of a hedonic lifestyle on consumptive behavior in consumptive behavior. The population of this study were users of the e-commerce application Shopee in Mojokerto. In this study using a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling technique with the criteria of women, domicile in Mojokerto, at least 17 years old, have used or purchased goods or services through the Shopee e-commerce application. Data analysis techniques used validity and reliability tests and hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis, t test, f test, and R2 test. The results of this study indicate that advertising has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, conformity has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, the hedonic lifestyle has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, advertising, conformity and hedonic lifestyle together have a positive and significant effect on behavior. consumptiveperilaku konsumtif.

This study aims to determine how the effect of the Phyphox application on GIL based physics learning on students' creative thinking abilities. The sample of this research is students of class X IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo through purposive sampling technique. This study uses the One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The treatment was carried out through GIL based practicum activities on a simple pendulum assisted by Phyphox application. Data on students' creative thinking abilities were obtained using tests in the form of description questions. Data analysis technique using Paired Sample T-test. Based on data analysis, the average score of creative thinking ability has increased by 44%. Learning on simple pendulum materials assisted by Phyphox applications in five groups has an average acceleration due to gravity of 9,87 with an accuracy rate of 98,6%. The result is that GIL based physics learning assisted with the Phyphox application affects students' creative thinking abilities and produces accurate investigative data. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the destination image, amenities, and prices on the satisfaction of visitors to Jatim Park 1 Batu. The population of this study was visitors to Jatim Park 1 Batu at the time of this study, in April 2018. The sample size used was 100 respondents with the criteria that they had visited Jatim Park 1 and were 20 years old or more. The data were obtained through questionnaires, where tourists accessed via the Google forms application. Data analysis used was a descriptive approach and multiple linear regression statistics. The results show that tourist satisfaction was significantly influenced by prices variable, while the destination image and amenity did not show influence. Thus, Jatim Park 1 manager needs to improve promotion, product development, and quality services to provide a destination image and comfort for tourists.JEL Classification: D22, M31, Z30
