In this article we talk about education as a global phenomenon that includes many actors with their own political interests. In this regard, the question of the anthropological component of modern education, including in the international context, arises extremely sharply: what kind of person is formed by the new global education, to whom it applies, and what values it forms. Main trends in global education policy are defined. The formation of a global educational policy has not yet been completed, and the pandemic of coronavirus infection has brought both positive and negative aspects. We name both of them: the advantages and disadvantages of pandemic situation that shifted the global higher education into the different format. Also, we make the forecast on further higher education development.

The use of case technology in the formation of natural science, in particular chemical literacy, in chemistry lessons through the environmental competencies of students, is one of the effective tools. One of the requirements of modern education - the formation of competencies and the case method - is an effective way to implement this educational task. This method is based on the problem and its solution, allowing, thus, implementing several pedagogical issues: «training», «education», «development». At the same time, each student is given the opportunity to increase their cognitive interest, realize their potential and learn how to apply the acquired knowledge in real life conditions.

Higher school’s main objectives orientated from subjectcentered direction to result-centered and competence-activity one are considered in this paper. Innovative processes which bear in themselves the progressive beginning and allow in changing conditions more effectively solve learning tasks, which purpose is students’ development in so far as relevant to their potential opportunities of new experience acquisition, and investment themselves into activity, are regular in the modern education development. Any changes happening to students (functional and genetic) are result of their own internal activity which is provided by conditions of educational process organization.

The basic tendencies in development of modern education are defined. In the article we defined the main trends of modern education development and outlined the main problems of technotronic education. We presented the scientific data of information technologies impact on children and defined the potential ITrelated risks for children health and development. The article substantiates and describes the factors affecting the formation of mass network communication in connection with scientific and technological achievements, calls and risks of the information society. It is based on and defines didactic-technological paradigms of the modern period of informatization of education and various techniques based on the implementation of described paradigms are proposed. The main purpose of this study is to study the problems of modern education through the prism of the regional demographic situation in the context of the implementation of sustainable development. The base region is the Novosibirsk region, on the territory of which a regional education system has developed, which is characterized by a high susceptibility to innovations. The main resource that ensures effective regional development is human capital. In this regard, it is relevant to study not only the problems of education development, taking into account the implementation of sustainable development, but also the characteristics of the demographic situation as a factor of sustainable development. The article reveals the features of the problem of education development in the interests of sustainable development, provides a meaningful analysis of the SD concept, highlights the main stages of its formation, which make up SD components; education is considered as a key component of the SD concept, the main conditions of transformations in the education system are highlighted, an assessment of demographic parameters is given, according to which it is possible to predict education processes both at the regional and global levels.

The article proposes identification of the most likely ways of institutional changes in the system of pedagogical education in the conditions of innovation, taking into account global socioeconomic and socio-cultural trends that define the essential aspects of training future teachers. It analyzes international trends of modernization of education, which largely determine the directions of pedagogical education development. The problems of values change in modern education are discussed. The materials are prepared within the framework of the project «Promising models of development of pedagogical education in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the conditions of realization of «Kazakhstan – 2050 » Strategy approved by the decision of National scientific council of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Intellectual potential of the country».
