The amount of snow cover in the Lake Biwa catchment area has changed significantly from 1.9 × 1012kg in 1974 to 0.3 × 1012kg in 1979. The amount of snow cover was less in the warmer winter and when the amount of snow cover was less than 1012 kg, the average amount of snow cover in recent years, the lowest dissolved-oxygen concentration in the deep layer rapidly decreases. Climatic warming will significantly decrease the amount of snow cover in Lake Biwa catchment area and the dissolved-oxygen concentration in the deep layer of the lake, which may further enhance eutrophication of the lake.

In Fluent, the 3-D RNG k–ε mathematical model is employed to compute water and air mixture pipe flow. The dissolved oxygen convectionaεnd diffusion model is established to simulate the concentration distribution of dissolved oxygen with user defined scalar method. Velocity, pressure and dissolved oxygen concentration are computed. Then, dissolved oxygen concentration and pressure are compared with the data of physical model, and they agree with each other approximately, showing it is valid and reliable to compute the mixture pipe flow and dissolved oxygen concentration with the model .Furthermore, under a specific condition, velocity, pressure and dissolved oxygen concentration of water and air mixture pipe flow are computed and their characteristics are analyzed.

Dissolved oxygen transfer in an aeration pond was studied by numerical method in this paper. 2d water pond current induced by water-wheel aerators and oxygen transfer process was simulated by finite volume method. In order to verify the relationships between current and dissolved oxygen transfer, we set 4 layout styles with 4 aerators in a water pond. It is proved that different layout styles induce different flow structures and dissolved oxygen distribution. Traditional layout (style a) is not the best way for oxygen transfer, and other styles (style b, c &d) are all superior to the traditional layout. But water flow structures are not the same results. Water circulation performance is style a, c, b, d in sequence. Style c (flow to corners along pond wall) is the best way by comprehensive consideration of both water circulation performances and dissolved oxygen distribution.

Based on the 2-D tidal current and sediment model, the field of tidal current near the sea of the secondary Diaoliang reclamation in Zhoushan was simulated due to the construction of the southern dike. After the simulation , the result was varified by the measured data .The impact on the surrounding sea and the annual change in erosion and deposition after the project was analyzed. The results show that the local current velocity in the eastern side of Luomen sea area features obviously decrease because of the reclamation project.The deposition is presented in the Diaoliang bay with the mean siltation intensity of around 0.8m/a, as well as about 1.1m/a of Luomen wharf apron .
