Abstract This research work was carried out from July 2018 to June 2019. WQI method was utilized to examine the seasonal changes in water quality that can indicate the potential use of water in the future. Water samples were tested from three locations along the Mandakini River. Fourteen physical and chemical parameters were analyzed. All water quality parameters were inside the admissible furthest reaches of the WHO for drinking water except turbidity, especially in the monsoon season. Twelve taxa of macroinvertebrates (Philopotamus sp., Laptophlebia sp., Isoperla sp., Diploperla sp., Tabanus sp., Hydropsyche sp., Baetis sp., Glossosoma sp., Heptagenia sp., Ephemerella sp., Psephenus sp., and Protandrous sp.) were identified in the Mandakini River. The fundamental goal of this investigation was to evaluate the seasonal effects on benthic macroinvertebrate diversity from the physicochemical variables of the Mandakini River. The study also affirmed that tourist-generated waste disposal, poisonous and dangerous chemicals from farming are the key components liable for the deterioration of water quality during the monsoon season.

Haris et al, 2019. The Analysis of Water Suitability for Floating Net Sprouts in Sirah Pulau Padang, Ogan Komering Ilir District, South Sumatra Province. JLSO 8(1):20-30.The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of water suitability of the floating net sprouts in sirah pulau padang, ogan komering river, Serdang Menang Village, OKI South Sumatra Regency based on water physical and chemical parameters. This study was conducted on July - August 2018 at the Komering River, Ulak Jermun village, Terusan Menang Village, and Mangun Jaya Village, OKI District, South Sumatra. The data of sampling was divided into 3 stations, they were; station 1 was Ulak Jermun Village (3 ° 18'45.48 "LS and 104 ° 53'5.32" BT), station 2 was Terusan Menang Village (3 ° 17'14.13 "LS and 104 ° 52'46.78 "BT), and station 3 was Mangun Jaya village (3 ° 18'14.92" LS and 104 ° 52'59.48 "BT). The data of Samples were tested at the chemical laboratory in Palembang Public Water Fisheries and Extension Research Institute directly. The results of the study was for Station 1, Station 2, and Station 3 with a value was  48% with a good feasibility information. The results of measurements of water quality parameters, the pH was about 6.6 - 6.7, temperature was about from 24., 53 - 26.93oC, DO 3.93 - 4.36 mg / l, ammonia was about 0.78 - 0.16 mg / l, water brightness was about from 34.67 - 43.33 cm, CO2 4.53 - 5.03 mg / l, depth 2.36 - 2.47 m, current velocity was about 0.38 - 0.44 m / s, nitrate was about 0.37 - 0.439 mg / l, phosphate was about 0.009 - 0.225 mg / l and the bottom substrate of water was mud.

Among the types of production systems applied in aquaculture, the biofloc culture system (BTF) has been gaining space due to its sustainable techniques. Noteworthy is the low or zero renewal of water, the formation of the microorganism population predominantly autotrophic and heterotrophic, resulting in microbial flakes. Taking into consideration the effectiveness of the system in tilapia farming, this work aimed at the fabrication, implementation, and analysis of the efficiency of a low-cost aerator. To evaluate and control the physical and chemical parameters of the water, 3,780 Nile tilapia fry were used with an initial average biomass of 3±0.5g, distributed in 24 rectangular tanks with a useful volume of 125 liters. The experiment included 6 treatments (T1: 360 fish m-3, T2: 1800 fish m-3, T3: 1080 fish m-3, T4: 1440 fish m-3, T5: 720 fish m-3 and T6: 2160 fish m-3) and four repetitions. The efficiency of the Venturi effect aerator and the water quality parameters were analyzed. Comparisons of the averages were performed using Tukey's test at 5% significance. From the dissolved oxygen analysis, it was possible to conclude that the aerator Venturi effect was efficient during the experiment, meeting the desired levels, also taking into consideration the ease of applicability and low cost for its development. Through the analysis of the physical-chemical parameters of the water and the mortality rates during the experiment, it can also be concluded that the safest density to operate using the bioflocci is up to 720 fish m-3.

AbstractWater is a vital and widely spread component required for sustaining the life. Groundwater is vastly valuable source and it is extremely beneficial for the human beings. But, the toxic elements release from sources such as industries, landfills as well as non-point causes of pollution such as pesticides and fertilizer from the past year showed high levels of pollution in ground water, hence this is very crucial for evaluating the water quality not only for it’s existing usage, but also a its capacity to develop as a sustainable source of water for human utilization. In rural areas of India, Groundwater is a significant water-drinking source. In Bhokardan area of Jalna District, quality of ground water is great significance, because it is a key alternative source of domestic supply along with drinking water and peoples residing there facing several water quality issues for drinking purpose. In this current research work, an endeavor has been developed to investigate the quality of groundwater as well as spatial distribution by utilizing Remote Sensing along with GIS approaches. Water quality analysis was performed for developing the quality index of water, by utilizing 12 quality parameters of water like Alkalinity, pH, Electrical Conductivity, Fluoride, Chloride, Nitrate, Sulphate, Potassium, Total Hardness, E. coli, Turbidity and Total Dissolved Solids measured at 35 different selected locations in this research work. Spatial distribution map showed that each region of research area falls under category of “Poor water” and “Very poor water” except some sites at Northern regions of the area which falls under “Good water” category during pre-monsoon, whereas most of the sites from Northern and Southern part of the region shifted category from poor to good water along with very poor to poor water during post-monsoon season. The quality index data of water of the current research disclosed that, the high WQI “Water Quality Index” values in the samples of groundwater were principally due to the occurrence of higher values of turbidity and E. Coli. The higher level of water quality parameters like TH, EC, alkalinity, potassium, TDS, chloride and fluoride were also accountable for high values of WQI in this research work. None of the location falls under excellent quality for water during pre-monsoon as well as post-monsoon season.

The aim of this paper is to investigate water quality parameters in some potential pollutant sources from northern, southern and east-southern areas of Romania. Surface water quality data for some selected chemical parameters were collected and analyzed at different points from March to May 2017.

Gracilaria sp is red alga which belong to class rhodophyceae. It can grow in shallow salt water with a general characteristic is having a cylindrical and branched thallus form. Seaweed cultivation can be performed through IMTA (Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture) method. The basic principle of cultivation through the IMTA method is utilizing service of the low thropic level species in marine ecosystems, such as shells and seaweed.  This method is believed to be able to overcome the environmental problems caused by cultivation activities, such as feces and uneaten feed. This research was perfomed 45 days, from February 25 to April 11, 2017. It was held at Geger Beach, Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, using a complete randomized design method that consist of three treatments and three repetition for each treatment. Treatment control (T1) consisted of 10 bunches of seaweed 100 grams without the abalone, treatement 2 (T2) consisted of 10 bunches of seaweed 100 grams and 20 abalones and treatement 3 (T3) consisted of 10 bunches of seaweed 100 grams and 40 abalones. The result showed that specific growth rate in Gracilaria sp.  was highest in treatment T1, compared to treatment T2 and T3. This was caused by the cage construction of abalone amd the present of small mesh size net to cover the seaweed  planting, which made the growth was not optimal.  However, the use of a nets system in seaweed cultivation could minimize the loss of thallus. It was proved by the survival rate of seaweed in first, second and third, that is averagely high, ranging from 90% to 100%. Physical and chemical water quality parameters are also measured, and It showed that the water quality was suitable for the cultivation of both, seaweed and abalone.

Physico-chemistry and biological data were investigated  from  October 2010 until April 2011 of Jatiluhur reservoir. A total of six sampling stations were selected for this study. The discharge and hidrological data were obtained from Perum Jasa Tirta II Jatiluhur. The results showed that the hydrological regime in the reservoir Jatiluhur was affected by global phenomenon La Nina events in 2010 and early in 2011. Stream flows were determined during sampling to range from 78  to 482.5 m3/s. The water quality findings were as follows: pH (6.93-8.81), temperature (26.37-30.6°C), dissolved oxygen (0.733-5.2 mg/l), conductivity (2.45-233µmhos/cm), COD (7.36-96.9 mg/l), turbidity (4.063-65.6 NTU), total phosphate (0.002-0.324 mg/l), total nitrogen (0.99-5.96 mg/l), chlorophyl (2.237-43.37 mg/m3), visibility (30-160 cm). The eutrophication was pronounced at Jatiluhur reservoir. Canonical Correspendence Analysis found that some water quality parameters correlated positively with the discharge and the water level.

Tarahara Fish Farm includes 37 large ponds as a fish super zone. Physicochemical parameters viz., air and water temperature, pH, DO, BOD, CO2, Cl-, TA and TH of these ponds were studied for two years (Nov. 2008 to Oct. 2010). The air temperature had positive and significant correlation with water temperature (r=0.893, P<0.01) but inverse and significant correlation with DO (r = - 0.669 P<0.05) and TH (r = - 0.673, P<0.05). Both air and water temperature showed a decreasing trend during the winter months of November to January and again September to October in both years. Similarly, positive and significant correlation showed by pH with DO (r =0.660, P<0.05) and BOD (r =0.846, P<0.05); by free CO2 with DO (r=0.854, P<0.01), chloride (r=0.648, P<0.05) and TA (r=0.616, P<0.05); by DO with TA (r =0.715, P<0.01) and chloride (r =0.625, P<0.05) and by TH with TA (r= 0.592, P<0.05) but inverse and significant correlation showed by pH with water temperature (r =-0.671, P<0.05); by free CO2 with BOD (r=-0.627, P<0.05) and by DO with BOD (r = -0.810, P <0.01). The water quality parameters were within suitable range for the fish growth and breeding with small fluctuations in different months during the first and second years. Physico-chemical parameters significantly (P<0.01; 0.05) differed between different months. However, no mass mortality of fish was recorded from this site. So, the area selected as fish super zone is fruitful to meet the expected production level of fishes and fish seeds in peripheral areas.

In this project, Polluted water sample from a Pond is collected for treating it by using Natural Coagulants. The pond is located in Madarpakkam Village, near Gummudipoondi, Tamilnadu, India. There were 4 water samples collected from four different points around the pond at depth of 0.5m, 1m, 1.5m and 2m. The water samples were analyzed for physical and chemical parameters with reference to the code IS 10500-1991. The objective of this project is to reduce the level of turbidity and bacteriological contaminants from water using locally available Natural Coagulants and to reduce the concentration of particular matter such as suspended particles, parasites, bacteria, algae, virus and fungi and to make use of the treated water for domestic purpose, as it reduces cost about 30% to 70%, the usage of these Natural coagulants will be more in future. It is nontoxic and non-corrosive. So, it is safe for human health. The usage of Natural coagulants can be increased in future as it increases the Water quality.

The aim of this study was to measure and assess the physical and chemical parameters of water quality in the area of ​​fixnet cage cultureat Lake Tutud Tombatu TigaVillagewhich included temperature, pH, DO, TDS, NO3, NO2, NH3 and PO4 in a different time.This research was conducted from August to November 2016. The research activities consisted of direct measurements in the field (in situ) using a Horiba instrument and laboratory analysis (ex situ) at the Agency for Industrial Research and Development Research Institute of Standardization and Industrial Manado. Determination points were done by purposive sampling which refers to the physiographic location wherever possible in order to represent or describe these waters.Water quality measured at4 stations using a Horiba at a depth of 0.5 meters from the bottom of the lake.Station I represented Inlet water, Station II where the cultivation A, Station III where the cultivation B and Station IVwhere no cultivation. The data obtained and collected were primary data i.e., measurement of physical and chemical parameters of water quality as well as watching for signs of sick fish, dead fish, and the growth of farmed fish.The results showed the water temperature ranged between 28-29 ° C, TDS 0266-0412 mg/L and chemical parameters for dissolved oxygen 2-5 mg/L, pH 7-8 and for the results of laboratory analysis, N03(0.7 - 6.3 mg/L), NO2(0001-0002 mg/L), NH3 (0180-1920 mg/L), PO4(0020-0209 mg/L). In general, the existence of water quality of lake Tutud were still in good condition except for NH3 concentrationthat exceeded quality standard limitsof Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001. Basically lake Tutud can still be used for fish farming, but the addition of new cages were not recommended.   Keywords: Lake Tutud,water quality, physical parameters, chemical parameters, fix net cage
