Abstract In the circular economy system, the water sector is increasingly becoming a field of concrete experimentation and application on an industrial scale of techniques intended to save and produce energy and to produce materials from water treatment cycles. The water cycle itself represents a ‘circular economy system’ connected to the use of water resources and to the processes of recovery of ‘secondary’ resources, such as energy and raw materials. This paper aims to identify the measures that can be taken by the institutions responsible for regulating the sector to encourage operators to invest in the circular economy and to develop corporate policies based on environmental sustainability and efficiency. It describes: the main actions for the recovery of energy and matter in the management of the water cycle; the current configuration of the regulatory measures adopted in Italy by the Italian Regulatory Authority of Energy, Networks and the Environment (ARERA); and some future developments in regulation policies. Transformation of waste into resources is an important part of the circular economy. Nowadays, the recovery of materials in the most effective way is crucial for sustainable development. Composite materials offer great opportunities for product development and high performance in use, but their position in a circular economy system remains challenging, especially in terms of material recovery. Currently, the methods applied for recycling composites are not always effective. The aim of the article is to analyse the most important methods of material recovery from multilateral composites. The manuscript presents three case studies related to the recycling of products manufactured from composites: used tyres, wind turbine blades, and solar panels. It shows the advantages and disadvantages of currently applied methods for multilateral composite utilisation and presents further trends in composite recycling. The results show that increasing volumes of end-of-life composites have led to increased attention from government, industry, and academia.

After great growth of traditional industrialization and economic,resource depletion and environmental problem have been the development bottlenecks of China. Recycling economic is a new model of economic development as a form of human ecological civilization which has great practical significance to economic growth. This paper analyzes the present situation and main problems of China’s circular economy and proposes recommendations of pushing forward it.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of using the instruments of the circular economy. The article describes the theoretical and practical aspects of the circular economy. The article highlights the classical approaches to resource management in the system of a circular economy. Methods for managing the cyclicity of production and consumption are analyzed. Provides extensive explanations on how to manage production and consumption cycles. The main reasons that lead to the occurrence of resource losses are considered. The analysis of the basic tools and methods that can be applied in the implementation of the circular economy is carried out. The possibilities of obtaining benefits from the introduction of a circular economy are considered. The role of circular purchases in the system of circular economy is considered. The main directions of improvement in the circular procurement management system are determined. Critical aspects in the procurement management system have been identified. The analysis of the state of waste management in Ukraine has been carried out. The possibilities of using modern methods of circular procurement management have been analyzed. These are the classic circular procurement models. The main advantages of using circular procurement methods are proposed. Provided recommendations for further research in circular procurement management.

The concept of circular economy has been gaining in popularity and interest among both scholars and policymakers. It is an alternative to today’s linear system and it focuseson reducing waste and minimizing the use of resources. The purpose of this paper is to present the challenges related to agricultural transformation towards circular economy, andto analyze the scope and nature of solutions that could be used under the CAP to support the integration of EU agriculture into the circular economy system. The study is based on a review of papers on circular economy (CE). The review enabled identifying the particularities of CE which showed the potential role for the CAP in implementing CE in agriculture. The conclusions from the research indicate that CAP instruments currently in place have a limited potential to support the adaptation of agriculture to the circular economy. However, it is possible to modify the support criteria so that they stimulate the integration of the EU agricultural sector into the economy model implemented in the EU. However, to accelerate this process, it is necessary to introduce more effective instruments in providing ecosystem services and mechanisms of cooperation with the industry.

Through the analysis of the interaction between the development of the world economy as well as the economic system and the resources and environment system, this paper describes the concept of the green circular economy. Green circular economy is the basis of sustainable human survival and development, while design manufacturing of green products and green recycling industry is the two most important aspects of a green circular economy system. Only the two aspects develop coordinated can maximize the achievement of sustainable development strategy.
