Two field experiments were conducted at 2018 and 2019 seasons at private farm in Talkha, El-Dakahlia governorate, to evaluate the effect of soaking times of some nutrients and their interaction on vegetative growth characters, photosynthetic pigments, yield and tuber quality of potato. The experiment was arranged in split plot design in complete blocks randomized. This research included 15 treatments consist of three soaking times of nutrients (1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours) and 4 nutrients application i.e., NPK, zinc (Zn), boron (B), Zn+B in addition control treatment (tap water). Obtained results cleared that soaking tubers pre planting 3 hours gave the maximum values of vegetative growth characters, photosynthetic pigments, yield and tuber quality. All nutrients application significantly increased measured parameters compared to the control treatment. NPK gave the highest values of vegetative growth characters, photosynthetic pigments, yield and tuber quality. Thus, It can be recommended that soaking tuber pre planting 3 hours with NPK enhanced potato growth, yield and quality.

Two field experiments were conducted during two seasons of 2017 and 2018 to evaluate the effect of both bio-fertilizer (inoculated or uninoculated) and selenium (Se) spray at 0.5, and 10 ppm on vegetative growth, pigments, yield and quality of potato plants. The results indicated that, vegetative growth characters (number of leaves, plant height, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, leaf area and leaf pigments (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and chlorophyll a and b were significantly increased with Bio-fertilizers (Halex-2, and High rate of Se (10 ppm), in both seasons. Plant yield of tuber, number of tubers/plant, average tuber weight and tuber yield/Fed and (tuber content of starch and protein), generally, seemed to be increased with the Bio-fertilizer (Halex-2) and high rate of Se, in both growing seasons. The interaction between Bio-fertilizer (Halex-2) and Se reflected positive effects on the all studied quantitative and qualitative characters of potato plants.

The present examination was conducted at the Experimental Farm, Fac. Environ. Agric. Sci., Arish Univ., Egypt, during the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 seasons. The aim of this investigation to study the effect of five intercropping combinations system treatments in reciprocal rows between broad bean and anise i.e., (1), (1:1), (1:2), (2:1), and (2:2), and three treatments of irrigation intervals, i.e., irrigated every day, three, and five days. The results showed that the interaction between the intercropping systems (One-row anise with two rows of broad bean (1:2)) with irrigation every day achieved the highest values of vegetative growth characters and yield parameters during the two growing seasons. Besides, competitive indices (LER, ATER, and LUE) showed that the interaction between the intercropping system of anise: broad bean (1: 2 and 2: 2 systems), and irrigated every three days were higher compared to the other interactions under study. The previous treatments recorded the highest values of water utilization efficiency (WUE). Also, the results recorded a positive sign for anise in most interaction treatments and a negative sign for broad beans in the same intercropping systems. For that, it can recommend by the intercropping system of anise: broad bean (1: 2 or 2: 2 systems), and irrigation every day or three days to improve water utilization efficiency, and productivity under climate conditions in North Sinai region.
