The turnover trends in the logistics industry are surprisingly high, regardless of the rapid growth of the industry. Turnover contributes to an impactful loss for the industry to tolerate the new recruitment costs, time consumption, performance disruption, and moral decline among employees due to the workload transfer. Previous literature presented various factors affecting turnover intention, and it could be concluded that factors within an organisation and individual play an essential role in turnover actions. Hence, this research focuses on perceived organisational support and emotional intelligence as factors to turnover intention among logistics drivers in Selangor. Eighty respondents from POS Logistics Berhad in Selangor participated in self-administered survey questions of Survey Perceived Organizational Support, Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale, and Turnover Intention Scale. Results revealed that most of the respondents have a moderate level of POS (84%) and a high level of EI (91%). In comparison, slightly half have a low level of TOI (56%). Research also found that POS and EI have no significant relationship with turnover intention, which is contrary to previous literature. Similarly, three criteria of EI; self-emotion appraisal, uses of emotions, and others-emotions appraisal also have no significant relationship with turnover intention. Only regulations of emotions (r=0.024, p=0.031) has significant relationship with turnover intention. Since the current study location was restricted for a few branches of Pos Logistics in Selangor, it limits the result of the study due to misrepresent the whole community fairly. Future researchers are encouraged to extend or increase the sampling size to other companies and regions to make better generalisations.

In spite of the place of mathematics in the Nigerian education system, the performance of students in both external and internal examinations is on the downward trend. Research on factors affecting students’ achievement in mathematics has often neglected the impact of psychological variables, such as emotional intelligence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy. This study, therefore, was designed to study how emotional intelligence, self-esteem and the self-efficacy of students predict their academic achievement in mathematics. The correlational survey research design was employed with a population of 2,937 senior secondary 2 students and a sample of 400 students sampled from 16 secondary schools in the Nnewi Education zone of Anambra State. Emotional intelligence, Self-esteem, Self-efficacy Questionnaires, and Students' Academic Achievement Score Form (SAASF) were used to collect data through the direct delivery method. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that emotional intelligence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy had significant predictive powers on students' academic achievement in mathematics. Thus, emotional intelligence, self-esteem, and the self-efficacy of students are prime determinants of their achievement in mathematics. It was recommended that students should be taught using methods that will enhance their emotional intelligence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy.     Keywords: Emotional intelligence, Mathematics Achievement, Secondary school, Self-efficacy, Self-esteem; 


In the quest to develop leaders who will foster a culture of equity and inclusion in the workplace, a critical factor to assess is Emotional Intelligence. EI (Emotional Intelligence) is a way for us to recognize our emotions as well as the emotions of other people. Individuals who are high in EI can recognize the emotions of others and are able to convey and regulate their own emotions. At organizations, work pressure, strain, anxiety, fearfulness, angstand depression are all related to Emotional Intelligence. These emotions could affect a person’s performance at workstation. Emotions can impact a performance, they can either create a high or crash the employee’s morale which will affect the persons performance positively or negatively. The research paper casts light upon the measurement of EI, and how it impacts an employee’s performance. The highlights the job performance, the importance of performance index. The main purpose of the research analysis is to understand the effectivenessEIin IT(Service Sector), and how it influences their performances. The research methodology used in the study is a hybrid approach that consists of exploratory and descriptive research methods. The exploratory research is considered as the primary research method, while the descriptive research method is considered as the secondary data. We will analyze the relationship between dependent variable and independent variables of factors affecting the development of emotional intelligence of employees. This research is conducted in IT organizations in Chennai, for feasibility purpose

IntroductionEmotional intelligence is defined as the ability to process, understand and manage emotions. In bipolar disorder seem to be more conserved, with less functional impairment than other severe mental disorders as schizophrenia. So far, there are few studies analyzing emotional intelligence in bipolar disorder.ObjectiveThe objective of this research is to better understand the different characteristics and the factors affecting these social-cognitive dysfunctions in bipolar disorder.AimsTo explore possible factors related to emotional intelligence in these severe mental disorders: symptoms, cognitive functioning, quality of life and psychosocial function.Material and methodsTwenty-six adults bipolar type I patients were examined using MSCEIT (the most validated test for emotional intelligence), BPRS, YMRS, HDRS, WAIS-IV, TMT and Rey Figure in order to determine the level of emotional intelligence and factors relate.ResultsBipolar patients show lack of emotional intelligence when compared with general population. The reform of Ukrainian education has put forward new requirements for the training of teachers, in particular, future music teachers and music supervisors of preschool institutions. There was a need to revise traditional teaching methods, update the content of education and change emphasis in the educational process from cognitive to emotional. One of the factors affecting the professional training of a music teacher is emotional intelligence as integrated phenomenon that combines emotional and intellectual abilities into a single developing (dynamic) system, which gives the opportunity to distinguish cognitive-emotional, empathy-creative (artistic) and regulatory-behavioral components. The purpose of the article is the theoretical argumentation of the emotional intelligence concept and structure, the approbation results presentation of emotional intelligence formation methods by future music teachers and music supervisors of preschool institutions in the process of studying special music disciplines "Basic Special Instrument", "Voice Staging", "Choral Conducting". During the experimental research, which was conducted by students of the Preschool Education And Musical Art Faculty, various methods of diagnosing emotional intelligence were used, special methods and methods of its formation were created ("Self-knowledge", "Emotional infection", "Physical actions" methods; "What am I?", "Show your emotion", "Diary of emotions" techniques). It is proved that the implementation of the proposed methodological aspects into the educational process influences positive changes of this quality development, which, in turn, will ensure the successful adaptation of the future music teacher in his professional activity.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is the relationship between the humanistic knowledge, emotional intelligence and compassion competence. Methods: This study examines factors influencing empathy competence in clinical dental hygienists through hierarchical regression analysis. Results: As a result of hierarchical regression analysis, in Model 1, job satisfaction and the presence or absence of educational experience in patient empathy were found to have significant influences. In Model 2, it was found that job satisfaction, patient empathy ability education experience, and emotional intelligence had an effect. Conclusions: These results can be seen as the competence necessary to provide high-quality dental hygiene services in the relationship between the subject and the dental hygienist
