Abstract Contemporary physics often speaks of “multiverses” or “parallel universes,” seriously debating whether our cosmic space is only one of many2. However many such spaces there may be, for now let us limit ourselves to the space in which we find ourselves; let us focus furthermore on the planet we are on, and further still on humanity upon this planet. Let us attempt to write a short history of the culture produced by humanity on this globe. We humans possessed and indeed possess a shared space, the globe, where a physical time common to us all passes. Let us survey the history of the world’s culture within this shared context.

There are currently a large number of Multiverse hypotheses, which are, however, non-verifiable, i.e. they can be neither confirmed nor refuted experimentally even in the distant future. In contrast, the hypothesis of the hidden Multiverse considered in the article is verifiable and therefore has a right to be called a theory. The theory uses the principle of physical reality of imaginary numbers discovered 500 years ago, including complex and hypercomplex numbers, as fundamental and proved by the author theoretically and experimentally. This principle has allowed revealing a number of serious mistakes in the special theory of relativity. An adjusted version of the special theory of relativity has been proposed and the theory of the hidden Multiverse has been developed on its basis. The Multiverse has been referred to as hidden, because parallel universes it contains are mutually invisible. The nature of their invisibility is explained in the article. It is shown that dark matter and dark energy are other universes of the hidden Multiverse apart from ours. Analysis of data from WMAP and Planck spacecrafts has shown that the hidden Multiverse has quaternion structure comprising four pairs of universes and antiverses (i.e., four pairs of matter and antimatter).

Not only universe, but everything has general characters as eternal, infinite, cyclic and wave-particle duality. Everything from elementary particles to celestial bodies, from electromagnetic wave to gravity is in eternal motions, which dissects only to circle. Since everything is described only by trigonometry. Without trigonometry and mathematical circle, the science cannot indicate all the beauty of harmonic universe. Other method may be very good, but it is not perfect. Some part is very nice, another part is problematic. General Theory of Relativity holds that gravity is geometric. Quantum Mechanics describes all particles by wave function of trigonometry. In this paper using trigonometry, particularly mathematics circle, a possible version of the unification of partial theories, evolution history and structure of expanding universe, and the parallel universes are shown.

Discussing aspects of Marx's critique of political economy and Foucault's analytic of power, the text seeks to separate the reflexive stance of anti-essetialism from two positions wich are often seen as being part of it: judgmental relativism and the ,anti-depth war'. To recognise the historical and social relativity of knowledge does not necessarily imply the view that all theories are equally true. And to analyse social structures and dispositions as underlying conditions of events and behavior is not tantamount to a search for metaphysical parallel universes. Criticising Badiou, the paper concludes with a plea for a realist politics of truth as an alternative to either relativist or rationalist conceptions of this topic.

Dosage compensation in Drosophila involves an approximately 2-fold increase in expression of the single X chromosome in males compared to the per gene expression in females with 2 X chromosomes. Two models have been considered for an explanation. One proposes that the male-specific lethal (MSL) complex that is associated with the male X chromosome brings histone modifiers to the sex chromosome to increase its expression. The other proposes that the inverse effect which results from genomic imbalance would tend to upregulate the genome approximately 2-fold, but the MSL complex sequesters histone modifiers from the autosomes to the X to mute this autosomal male-biased expression. On the X, the MSL complex must override the high level of resulting histone modifications to prevent overcompensation of the X chromosome. Each model is evaluated in terms of fitting classical genetic and recent molecular data. Potential paths toward resolving the models are suggested.
