The authors have carried out a study to determine and evaluate the impact of factors affecting the choice of accommodation for students in Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City. Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the theory of consumer choice by Mankiw, a new theory of residential location by Hoang Huu Phe and Wakely, the buyer decision process in consumption by Kotler to build a research model. The study was conducted through 2 phases: qualitative research and quantitative research with 515 answer sheets from students in Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, and applied the analytical method using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The analysis shows that there are 5 factors that affect the choice of accommodation for students in Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City descending order including: (1) Social relations, (2) Prices, (3) Security, (4) Services, (5) Location. In practical terms, the results show the need/concern of students in Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City when making choice of accommodation, thereby giving recommendations to improve the quality of accommodation for landlords, the board of dormitory management and the departments agency. In addition, this result is an important basis for reference when building smart applications to find accommodation to serve the increasingly diverse needs of students.

Teacher is one of the most important elements in education. The quality of education is largely determined by the teacher’s quality. Few would argue against the view that motivated staff are a central resource for the success and quality of an organization, and thus attention needs to be given to examining teachers’ motivation as a key to guaranteed quality education. At the Center of Foreign Languages, Can Tho University, teachers are always recognized as key factors for the success of the institution. This small-scale study was conducted with 42 teachers of English of the Center for Foreign Languages with the aim to examine common factors affecting teachers’ motivation and their perceptions towards quality education. The results of the survey revealed the most common factors for teachers’ motivation and the findings from focus group discussions indicated the positive relationship of teachers’ level of motivation with quality education.

The research investigates how the factors affect the quality of English training at Foreign Languages - Informatics Center, University of Banking Hochiminh city, Vietnam (FLIC), by intervewing 429 students. The method of Cronbach’s Alpha analysis, EFA analysis and multiple regression analysis were used with the SPSS program.The result shows that the affects of the factors on the quality of English training at FLIC decreasingly: Program Issues, Facility, Teaching Issues, Access, Non-academic Aspect. The research also suggests some solutions to FLIC management to enhance the the quality of English training.

To meet the requirements of state administrative reform in the period of accelerating industrialization, modernization and international integration, English training programs which aim at meeting the criteria of civil servants’ titles, positions and management are urgent and necessary. Foreign languages in general and English in particular, play a key role in integrating development in all aspects of life, especially in the field of education. In this article, we discuss some solutions to enhance English in training programs for cadres, civil servants in order to improve the quality of human resources for integration in economy of the country.

The paper investigates factors affecting logistics providers? satisfaction with HCMC logistic environment and then extend some remedies to enhance it. By using both quantitative and qualitative methods, the authors investigate 200 logistics providers operating in HCMC. The results show that the satisfaction with the logistic environment is affected by six factors: (1) the quality of trade- and transport-related infrastructure, (2) the ease of arranging competitively priced shipments, (3) the efficiency of the customs clearance process, (4) the ability to track and trace consignments, (5) the competence and quality of logistic services , and (6) the frequency with which shipments reach the consignee within the scheduled or expected delivery time.

The quality of hospital services remains a concern of both the manager and the patient. The study aims to identify factors affecting outpatient satisfaction at private general hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, establishing a scale for measuring them. Some 450 outpatients who were treated in five top private hospitals in Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) in 2019 – An Sinh General Hospital, Hoan My General Hospital, Columbia Asia International Hospital, FV Hospital, and Vu Anh International General Hospital – were interviewed directly in the last quarter of 2019 to obtain the information. The SERVPERF model, plus the cost, together with the SPSS software, have been used to process information by Cronbach’s alpha analysis, Exploratory Factor analysis, and linear regression analysis. The results show that there are five factors influencing outpatient satisfaction at private general hospitals in HCMC, in which four factors affects positively in the order of decreasing importance: treatment outcome, doctors and nurses’ professional capacity, facilities and environment of the hospital, hospital care, and the treatment time factor affects negatively. The results of the study provide private hospital in HCMC managers with a number of suggestions to increase the level of hospital service quality, so that increase outpatients satisfaction.

This paper aims to discuss the competitiveness of safe vegetables of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). We employed Exploratory Factors Analysis and Regression Analysis methods on data collected from a survey of 150 respondents in Binh Chanh and Cu Chi districts. The results indicate that factors affecting the competitiveness of HCMC’s safe vegetables are price, packing, quality, diversity, flexibility and distribution system. The paper also offers three policy suggestions, namely 1) expanding scale and reducing costs to decrease the price HCMC’s safe vegetables; 2) improving the quality of HCMC’s safe vegetables; 3) diversifying types of HCMC’s safe vegetables.

The research focuses on exploratory analysis of factors that affect the satisfaction of companies on service quality in industrial zones in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, regression analysis is implemented to measure the impact of these factors on companies’ satisfaction. The exploratory analysis indicates that four factors that determine service quality of industrial zones in Ho Chi Minh City are: (i) tangibility; (ii) service attitude of the managers and the industrial zones’s investors; (iii) responsiveness; and (iv) empathy. The regression estimation shows that the four factors above affect the satisfaction of companies in the same direction. In particular, tangibility and service attitude of the managers and the industrial zones’s investors have the strongest impacts. These important findings can serve as a ground for industrial zones in Ho Chi Minh City to make appropriate adjustments and for industrial zones which are about to come into operation to have necessary preparations in order to better meet requirements of companies.

According to the evaluation of managers, the impact of the factors affecting the competitive competence of commercial banks is gradually decreasing in the following order: Financial capacity, Quality of banking and financial services, Management capacity of executive management, Human resources, Technology capacity.
