This chapter reveals the deep structures of Muscovite politics by explaining first its theoretical foundations (in which written texts and symbolic representations combined to present a consistent worldview) and then its practical operations (heavily dependent on kinship, marriage and patronage networks). Though it focuses on the period from Ivan III (r. 1462–1505) to the end of the seventeenth century, the chapter ends by considering the impact of Peter I (r. 1682–1725). Change trumped continuity with regard to political culture. Yet, even as they constructed a political rhetoric and elite culture on Western models, Peter and his successors echoed traditional Muscovy in their evocations of Orthodoxy, their patronage and largesse, and their patrimonial claims to power. And they achieved time-honoured Muscovite goals by maintaining stability among factional groups, enriching their elites, expanding the Empire and presiding over dynamic economic growth.

Analysing the literature, it is found that empirical evidences on the link between trade facilitation and economic growth for developing countries is very scarce. The present study investigated whether trade facilitation has contributed to the economic growth of a sample of 23 developing countries over the period 2007-2014. Results from the analysis highlight the importance of trade facilitation as a crucial determinant of development. Moreover, even trade levels have demonstrated to have an important role to play in boosting growth levels. Private investment is also seen to be an important driver of growth and the importance of education, are also acknowledged by the results. The GMM estimates confirmed these results and further indicated the presence of dynamism in growth modeling. Moreover, the granger causality test shows that there is a uni directional causality flowing from trade facilitation to economic growth.

The article reveals the theoretical foundations of the system of financial and economic regulation of agricultural production, based on domestic practice and best foreign practices. Various author's approaches to the structuring of the components of financial and economic regulation of agricultural enterprises are considered. It is established that improving the efficiency of support for national agricultural producers depends on the rate of real economic growth, which, on the one hand, will increase the state's ability to subsidize agricultural enterprises, and on the other - increase domestic sources of investment in agricultural projects.

The implementation of a process of globalization and sustainable development based on management requires integration. It can be ensured by the rules of universal operation: on the side of the process of globalization, it is necessary to recognize economic growth as a component of development and recognize the primacy of development over growth, verifying the functions of the rules of universal operation, and limiting the paradigms of deregulation (YES = NO= CAN BE); the primacy of federal integration over structural one; the application of management in accordance with the nature of the sphere covered by management and open to the exemplification of the functions and rules of universal operation; on the side of sustainable development: the use of the process of globalization solutions in the field of technological progress, institutional procedures, which contribute to improving the quality, effectiveness and efficiency (quality of life). In addition to necessary conditions, decision-making will be necessary, which is a sufficient condition.

Background. The energy sector in the structure of the domestic economy remains one of the most vulnerable sectors of the domestic economy. Therefore, solving the problem of reducing energy intensity and energy efficiency of the domestic economy will solve the problem of economic growth of the domestic economy in a global recession due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and restrictive measures, which significantly reduced national production. Analysis of recent research and publications. Despite a wide range of research on energy conservation and energy efficiency, most of them are limited to general recommendations for sustainable development of the national economy. The aim of this article is to develop the theoretical foundations of energy efficiency as a factor in increasing the financial potential and intensification of economic development of the domestic economy in terms of the need to overcome the effects of the global economic recession. The aim of the paper is to develop theoretical foundations of energy efficiency as a factor of increasing the financial potential and intensification of economic development of the domestic economy while there is the need to overcome the effects of the global economic recession. Materials and methods. The information base of the study were scientific publiccations of foreign and domestic scientists in the field of research on the development of the electricity market, areas of energy efficiency. The research was conducted using such general scientific methods as: generalization and comparison; deductive and inductive analysis; method of statistical analysis to identify and summarize trends in the electricity market, the choice of areas of energy efficiency and the development of energy saving measures. Results. The article presents the results of a study of energy efficiency and energy saving as a basis for economic growth of the domestic economy in terms of overcoming the effects of the global economic crisis. The reasons for the high energy intensity of GDP, which poses a threat to the country’s national security, in particular in the energy sector, have been identified. Conclusion. The necessity of transformation of the electricity market on the principles of market pricing, energy efficient and energy efficient use and consumption of energy resources, implementation of energy efficiency programs and use of renewable energy sources is proved. Prospects for further research are the development and implementation of modern tools for implementing energy efficient and energy efficient use and consumption of energy resources.
