A longitudinal design included 339 students from nine schools who responded to questionnaires from their sophomore to senior years from 1974–76. Using multivariate analysis of variance, it was shown that the extent to which students perceived open social studies classroom climates over this period was related to increases in political trust, integration, and interest, but a decrease in sense of political confidence.

The purpose of this study is to test the validity and reliability of social support construction using SEM. The subjects of this study were 83 private high school students in Beringin Regency. The scale of this study uses a social support scale created by researchers developed from Smet (2004). The scale is arranged in the form of a Likert scale based on its aspects, totaling 24 statements with 4 answer choices. The scale was analyzed using SEM AMOS software version 24. This study aims to obtain a description of the errors of high school students on linear program topics by using the Newman Error Analysis. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted by giving a test to participants consisting of a three-word problem on the topic of a linear program then conducting interviews as a data collection technique. Participants in this study were five female students of class XI in one of the senior high schools in Bandung, including four people who were students majoring in Sciences studies and one person who was a student majoring in Social studies. Based on the results of a research according to the Newman Error Analysis, all participants made several types of errors on the topic of a linear program. Errors made by the participants include transformation errors made by three students, the process skill errors made by two students, and writing error answers made by two students.

Social science is a common subject given at every level of education. The Social Sciences junior high school curriculum is taught in an integrated manner to facilitate students' social science learning that is important in everyday life. Unfortunately, there are many obstacles encountered in social studies in practice, one of which is the lack of interest and enthusiasm of students in learning social studies. It makes students unable to grasp the importance of social studies. This research conduct on students and teachers of the Junior High School Laboratory State University of Malang. This study aims to analyze non-enthusiasm students in social classes learning. This research conduct using descriptive methods with survey research. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation data collection tools in observation guidelines and interview guidelines. This study's informants were 17 students taken at each grade level and supported by three informants from social studies teachers who were selected purposes study indicates that UM Lab junior high school students' unenthusiastic behavior when learning social studies is reading comics, singing, drawing, chatting, and joking with friends. The factors that cause it are the amount of material and assignments in modules that must be memorized and memorized. Students are dizzy and confused. It has an impact on their understanding, which is less related to social studies material.

The development of social studies learning model is based on classic batik local cultural value for improving the identity of Junior High School Students in Surakarta. Generally, the research is aimed to construct social study based on classic batic local cultural value to improve nation identity through using post modernism thought that views understanding a curriculum as a praxis. Based on the construction, this research is able to empower the researcher, social studies teachers and students. In order to construct the transformative curriculum as the praxis, four elements are used richness, recursions, relations and rigor. The integration of classic batik cultural value in social studies learning is based on the combination of cooperative learning model and value clarification. Knowledge and understanding to local and national cultural values will be manifested to nation identity. This research uses research and development approaches based on three main stages introductory study, model development and model validation. The data collection uses observation as well as interview guidance and study devices evaluation sheet. Data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative techniques. The main conclusion of this research outcomes is that Social studies learning model based on the developed classic batik art and cultural values model has met the study model development principles and it has been proven to significantly improve competency and strengthen student character and identity if it is compared to conventional model
