Abstract The energy capacity of photovoltaic (PV) installations worldwide has increased significantly in the last decade, increasing the demand for rigorous investigation of the physical phenomena causing degradation and failures in PV modules. As PV reliability science develops, established methods and approaches from longer-standing industries can inform and expedite PV reliability advances. This work demonstrates how thermomechanical solder bond fatigue models derived for electronics packaging applications can be applied to both standard and emerging PV interconnect designs. This expertise cannot be directly translated to PV however, as target PV module lifetimes are significantly longer than most electronics and the modules must withstand the natural climate wherever they are deployed. Verification of analytical reliability models is then an additional challenge, due to model size, test time, and climate variability. Furthermore, unconventional materials, such as low-temperature solders, are now being integrated into PV designs, for which appropriate material models must be selected and material parameters derived. In this paper, the current state of PV interconnect research is explored, with an emphasis on the experimental and simulation approaches and models being used for this work. Recent results for standard module architectures as well as emerging interconnect schemes are discussed.

In This paper is dedicated to the examination of one of the most relevant and significant problems of Russian society – illegal trafficking of items and materials, carried out using mass media andinformation and telecommunication networks. Top officials of the state raise the issue of the importance of special control in this area by law enforcement agencies. Despite this attention, comprehensive study on the criminal-legal significance of the use of mass media and information and telecommunication networks in illegal trafficking has not been yet undertaken in the frame of criminal law of Russia. The author examines the concept of «illegal traffic», analyses the texts of the articles of the criminal code of the Russian Federation, which explicitly criminalize illicit trafficking. The author makes a conclusion about the reasonableness of making changes to certain articles of the criminal code of the Russian Federation, in regard to the part concerning establishing stricter penalties for committing socially dangerous acts using mass media and information and telecommunication networks.

The article evaluates the reliability indicators of telecommunication system equipment, which can be represented by multi-mode objects of continuous and episodic use with a time reserve operating under conditions of a priori uncertainty. Particular attention is paid to consideration of the process of functioning of the system with a replenished time reserve. The telecommunication system includes an object represented by one structural element and used in different modes of operation. In each mode, the object can be used continuously or episodically (the object performs tasks that occur at random times), herewith only a certain part of its equipment is operating. The restoration of the facility's operation in each mode is based on the "quick" recovery scheme ("quick" recovery means that the repair time is much less than the average working time of the element between failures). Also, some cases of the transition of an object from one mode to another are considered, and the control system operates according to the method of sequential control of parameters. In this case, the system, after waiting mode, begins to analyze the first parameter of the monitored complex, then the second and so on. After analyzing the parameters, the system enters the waiting mode. These calculated ratios allow for a comprehensive assessment of the reliability of telecommunication equipment, taking into account the totality of the main factors that significantly affect the reliability of the equipment in real conditions of operation, make it possible to solve important practical problems which arise from the improvement of existing equipment and development of existing equipment.
