This paper aimed at the socioeconomic appraisal of two cropping systems namely no-till and tilled wheat in Sétif region (Algeria). The study based on a sample of 28 adherent farms in an international project of Conservation Agriculture adoption for smallholders in North Africa. Economic diagnosis showed that no-till system performed best with a gross margin difference of $ 84/ha in comparison with conventional tilled wheat. Moreover, no-till recorded less work time and fuel consumption, with 241minutes/ha and 42 liters/ha against 624 minutes/ha and 99 liters/ha for conventional tillage. Though, no-till still faced some local social and technical constraints that are relatively easy to overcome. If Algeria put forward its best efforts through increasing no-till in the suitable zones, many objectives could be achieved in the context of preserving natural resources and building up farming sustainability. It could be also a key solution for “Intended Nationally Determined Contribution” (INDCs) schemes to meet Algerian commitments regarding “Paris Agreement” on climate change.

An index for labour absorption capacity of an agricultural cropping system requires worker number from directactivities and non-direct activities in a field The number of workers from direct activities can be generated from landmanagement (ploughing, fertilization, weeding, etc), meanwhile the number of workers from non direct activities such astransportation of manure and product, has to include a distance effect. A distance of a farm from a collection point, whereagricultural facilities distributed, contributes to the number of workers requiredfor carrying such products or fertilizers.To calculate a distant effect to absorption capacity is hampered by difficulty in measuring of farm distance in a field,which implies it is rare found such proper data in producing a labour absorption capacity. GIS as a spatial technology hascapability to produce such as distance effect. This research demonstrated the use of GIS in prodUCing labour absorptioncapacity index and map of status labour absorption in Samarang sub district, where several intensive agricultural activities such as paddy, vegetable and perfume grass crops were found The map could be used to understand indirectly the economic situation of the area.

Introduction: In order to have a good assessment of the quality of maternal and child health care, it is essential that there is up-to-date and reliable information. Objective: To evaluate the impact of the implementation of a computerized database of clinical processes in the admission, archive and medical statistics section, of Maternity hospital Irene Neto/Lubango-Angola. Methodology: A descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach to carry out a retrospective case study deliveries and newborns, records from 2014 to 2017. Final considerations: The implementation of this project may contribute to the improvement of clinical management support management of the hospital as well as facilitating access to information for research and scientific production.
