This paper outlines a study of the effect of changing the electrical properties of materials when applied in the Wireless InSite (WI) ray-tracing software. The study was performed at 60 GHz in an indoor propagation environment and supported by Line of Sight (LoS) and Non-LoS measurements data. The study also investigates other factors that may affect the WI sensitivity, including antenna dimensions, antenna pattern, and accuracy of the environment design. In the experiment, single and double reflections from concrete walls and wooden doors are analysed. Experimental results were compared to those obtained from simulation using the WI. It was found that materials selected from the literature should be similar to those of the environment under study in order to have accurate results. WI was found to have an acceptable performance provided certain conditions are met.

ABSTRACTTrifluoromethyl group-containing polyimides not only show extraordinary electrical properties, but they also exhibit excellent long-term thermo-oxidative stability. Among the most thermomechanically stable structural polyimides are those from 6F dianhydride (6FDA) and 6F diamines. The effects of substituting non-fluorine containing monomers such as BTDA, mPDA and 4,4′-DADPS for the hexafluoroisopropylidene monomers on the dielectric, thermo-oxidative, thermal and mechanical properties of the copolymers were studied.

The mechanical behavior of plastic material is dramatically sensitive to temperature. An method is proposed to predict the mechanical behavior of plastics for cars, ranging from low-temperature low temperature ≤-40°C to high temperature ≥80°C. It dominates the behavior of plastic material based on improved constitutive model in which the parameters adjusted by a series of tests under different temperatures. The method is validated with test and establishes the basis for research and development of plastic parts for automobile as well.

It is significant and necessary to carry out the research and development of self-lubricating bearing. The current study of metal matrix self-lubricating bearing materials is summarized. A new type of high temperature self-lubricating Ti-Al alloy bearing materials is proposed. It is light, anti-friction, anti-corrosion and high temperature resistance (600 °C). The future trend is introduced in the end of this paper.
