Rate-time decline curve analysis is a major technique which is mostly used in petroleum engineering. Many methods are used for the determination of the decrease in the production rate within a given period of time. The main disadvantage of Arp’s decline type curve analysis is that it is only used for boundary dominated flow period; it is not used for transient flow period. The analysis of the Fetkovich is to determine the log-log type curve for both the transient flow period (early time period or infinite) and boundary-dominated flow period (late time period). Arps developed the type curve which shows the production rate decline with time for the finite reservoir or late time period. The exponential or constant flow decline, hyperbolic decline, and harmonic decline according to the value of decline curve exponent (b) is given by Arps. After that Fetkovich improved on earlier work done by Arps in predicting decline production rate of wells over a given period of time. The main objective of this study was to plotting the rate transient analysis curve. I will plot the Fetkovich type curve (combined early and late times region). The graph will be plotted between the dimensionless decline flow rate (qDd) and the dimensionless decline time” (tDd). This will be the objective of the study.

Objective: The clinical diagnostic tests are generally used to identify the presence of a disease. The cutoff value of a diagnostic test should be chosen to maximize the advantage that accrues from testing a population of human and others. When a diagnostic test is to be used in a clinical condition, there may be an opportunity to improve the test by changing the cutoff value. To enhance the accuracy of diagnosis is to develop new tests by using a proper statistical technique with optimum sensitivity and specificity. Method: Mean±2SD method, Logistic Regression Analysis, Receivers Operating Characteristics (ROC) curve analysis and Discriminant Analysis (DA) have been discussed with their respective applications. Results: The study highlighted some important methods to determine the cutoff points for a diagnostic test. The traditional method is to identify the cut-off values is Mean±2SD method. Logistic Regression Analysis, Receivers Operating Characteristics (ROC) curve analysis and Discriminant Analysis (DA) have been proved to be beneficial statistical tools for determination of cut-off points. Conclusion: There may be an opportunity to improve the test by changing the cut-off value with the help of a correctly identified statistical technique in a clinical condition when a diagnostic test is to be used. The traditional method is to identify the cut-off values is Mean ± 2SD method. It was evidenced in certain conditions that logistic regression is found to be a good predictor and the validity of the same can be confirmed by identifying the area under the ROC curve. Textured Pt films with thickness h=20-80 nm were sputter deposited on oxidized c-Si (100) wafers and annealed in vacuum at 500°C/60 min. The thickness dependencies of the crystalline texture parameters and of the fraction of crystalline phase δ are obtained for as-deposited and annealed films using X-ray diffraction. The determination of δ in textured films is carried out by the new method based on rocking curve analysis. It is found that annealing leads to the texture improvement and to the increasing of δ for all h. The less h, the stronger effects of texture improvement and of δ increasing. These results are explained by the annealing-induced formation of large secondary grains whose volume fraction increases as h decreases. The inhomogeneity of the depth distributions of texture parameters and of δ are investigated for the as-deposited Pt films.
