Safety leadership sangat berperan sebagai kunci keberhasilan dalam membangun budaya keselamatan yang kuat pada industri dan yang nantinya akan meningkatkan kinerja dari keselamatan kerja. Standard manajemen keselamatan internasional telah menjadi langkah besar dalam meningkatkan standar keselamatan. Efektivitas dari standard ini sangat tergantung pada bagaimana para pemimpin mengimplementasikannya. Untuk itu diperlukan adanya safety leadership dalam mencapai peningkatan kinerja keselamatan kerja.Safety leadership harus dimiliki oleh pimpinan suatu perusahaan untuk menunjang keberlangsungan kesehatan dan keselamatan pekerjanya.Dalam artikel ini dibahas perspektif dan karakteristik leadership untuk peningkatan safety performance berupa: model safety leadership; safety leadership meningkatkan keselamatan kerja; safety leadership membangun safety culture; safety leadership dan komitmen organisasi; safety leadership pada supervisor. Beberapa hal tersebut dapat meningkatkan keselamatan kerja di suatu organisasi perusahaan.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of safety culture in the military organization on safety behavior and to verify the mediating effect of safety leadership in this process. The research subjects collected data by classifying the military class and the military class, and the analysis resulted by applying the cross-over analysis model. As a measuring tool, a safety climate scale was used to measure safety culture, and a scale divided into safety knowledge and safety communication was used to measure safety leadership. As a result of analysis, there was no difference in the safety culture due to the difference between the military rank and military occupational specialty in the military organization. In terms of military rank, most of the commanders showed higher level of safety leadership than soldiers, and there was no difference on safety culture. However, the military occupational specialty was functioning as a variable to control the influence of the military rank on safety climate and safety communication. As a result, the influence of safety culture on safety behavior was significant, and it was verified that safety knowledge and safety communication function as mediaters, and the dual perfect mediation model was verified. Based on these results, a strategic education program or content development point suitable for redinforcing the safety culture of military organizations was presented.

<p>This study aims to analyze the effects of safety culture, safety leadership and the safety climate on organizational commitment and employee performance. Using the survey method, responses from 218 respondents were collected to understand the complete picture of a port service industry in Indonesia. Data were analyzed with Structural Equation Model (SEM) and it reveals that each safety culture variable, safety climate safety leadership, and employee commitment has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Organizational commitment variables may enhance the effects of safety culture, safety leadership and a safety climate on employee performance.</p>

Kecelakaan kerja merupakan sebuah permasalahan yang krusial bagi setiap perusahaan khususnya bidang industri energi. Lokasi penelitian adalah perusahaan energi yang memiliki permasalahan terkait pelanggaran dan kecelakaan kerja. Sebanyak 60% karyawan dari 344 karyawan melakukan pelanggaran dan 12 kecelakaan telah terjadi dari tahun 2017 sampai dengan 2019. Permasalahan sulitnya meminimalisir kecelakaan kerja dan pelanggaran dikarenakan safety culture yang belum matang dan tidak adanya keteladanan dari leader yang dapat dicontoh sehingga berdampak pada proses pengambilan keputusan etis yang dilakukan karyawan. Untuk itu, peneliti melakukan penelitian pengaruh Safety Culture dan Safety Leadership terhadap Perceived Moral Intensity. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi ganda. Partisipan penelitian ini terdiri dari 90 karyawan. Hasilnya, terdapat pengaruh Safety Culture terhadap Perceived Moral Intensity, dan Safety Leadership tidak berpengaruh terhadap Perceived Moral Intensity. Peneliti merekomendasikan rancangan intervensi berupa sosialisasi mengenai budaya safety yang telah divalidasi oleh user.
