Trough research on plugging problems of the submarine gas line in the Bo-Xi oil field, the cause of plugging, composition of plug stuff were found out, and a method to predict the position of hydrate plug is proposed. The accumulated liquid volume and the transmission efficiency of the pipeline were calculated. It is suggested that a special pig was developed to sweep off the accumulated liquid in the gas pipeline and to prevent formation of hydrate plug.
