Absrtact The aim of the study is to reveal the empirical data about the effect of instructional methodology and student’s critical thinking capability level on the outcome of history learning on the students of SMA Kesatuan Bogor. The methodology used is the experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. Research instrumentation will include a test that will be used to measure student’s learning outcome, and a questionnaire that will be used to measure student’s critical thinking capability level on history outcomes. A total of 28 participants will be randomly selected. Data analysis will be performed by using two way variance analysis. The findings of the study will be demonstrate: 1) a higher student’s history learning outcome of those who were taught by PJBL instructional methodology compared to those who were taught by conventional method. 2) There is an interaction effect between instructional methodology and student’s critical thinking level on history learning outcome. 3) History learning outcome of students who has higher critical thinking level and were taught by PJBL method are higher than those with the same level of critical thinking but were taught by conventional method. 4) History learning outcome of students who has lower critical thinking level and were taught by PJBL methodology are not below those with the same critical thinking but were taught by conventional method. Answers to the questions of which instructional methods are suitable for school, what instructional methods should be applied in teaching individual subjects and how instructional methods support the act of learning represent challenges to general education and education in individual subjects. This study focuses on the empirical examination of learning outcome in engineering educationwith respect to two instructional methods: direct instruction and computer simulation. A CRF 2x2 design is used to control instructional method and class context. Learning outcome on bridge construction is assessed with reference to the optics of bridge and the material usage for the bridge. The empirical findings show that learning with direct instruction was superior to computer simulation.

Abstract The aim of the article is to get a closer overview of the non-instructional methods of the teaching-learning process of geography. To achieve this goal, the results of the international project Borderland: Border Landscapes Across Europe (undertaken in 2012 and 2013, within the framework of LLP-Erasmus Programme) was presented. Special attention was paid on the innovative approach to learning methods, namely learning by doing (LBD) that was experienced in a multinational environment during the project’s implementation.

The purpose of this study was to examine: The effect of discussion and recitation methods on learning achievement, the effect of independent and dependent cognitive styles on learning achievement, the interaction between learning methods and cognitive style on learning achievement, whether learning achievement by using the discussion method with independent cognitive style was higher than the recitation learning method, whether learning achievement using the discussion method with a dependent cognitive style was higher than the recitation method. This research used quantitative research methods, the type of research was quasi-experimental factorial 2x2 with a population of 173 students and the sample was 61 students. The data collection technique used was a test of cognitive style and learning achievement. The analysis technique used two way ANOVA test and t-test. The results of hypothesis testing concluded: There was an influence of discussion learning methods and recitation learning methods on learning achievement, there was an influence of cognitive style on learning achievement, there was an interaction between learning methods and cognitive styles on student learning achievement, learning achievement using the discussion method of students who had independent cognitive style was higher than the dependent, learning achievement using the recitation method of students who had an independent cognitive style was not higher than the independent.

The assessment outcome for many online learning methods are based on the number of correct answers and than convert it into one final mark or grade. We discovered that when using online learning, we can extract more detail information from the learning process and these information are useful for the assessor to plan an effective and efficient learning model for the learner. Statistical analysis is an important part of an assessment when performing the online learning outcome. The assessment indicators include the difficulty level of the question, time spend in answering and the variation in choosing answer. In this paper we will present the findings of these assessment indicators and how it can improve the way the learner being assessed when using online learning system. We developed a statistical analysis algorithm which can assess the online learning outcomes more effectively using quantifiable measurements. A number of examples of using this statistical analysis algorithm are presented.
