As robot workshops for elementary and junior-high school students are being held across Japan, there is a large variety of teaching-material robots available for them. An increasing number of freshmen at colleges or universities already undertake some basic education on robotics before they enter a college or a university. On the other hand, as research and development of service robots is being promoted as a part of the measures to cope with the declining birthrate and the aging population of Japan, service robots are expected to come into much wider use. Under these circumstances, it is imperative for universities and technical colleges to enrich the contents of their robotics education, especially on service robots. However, there are no robots available as teaching materials. Therefore, we developed an educational service robot and used it to conduct practical trainings with the aim of motivating students to develop robots, as well as enhancing their motivations. This paper reports on the details of this project.

The K-12 curriculum brought a significant change in Social Studies/ Araling Panlipunan curriculum at the Basic Education level, but much still must be done to introduce relevant topics in history and culture following local contexts. As such, local historians and educators pursued its relevance to studying local history, particularly with the Kasaysayang Lokal (KASALO) ng Pampanga, to embark to the mind of todays' learners the local history of their pace. With this, the study aimed to assess the local awareness of Junior High School students and its correlation to their appreciation of cultural heritage. The study utilized descriptive-correlational research designed that aims to determine the relationship of the variables. The respondents of the study consisted of 281Junior High School students chosen through a simple random sampling technique. The results revealed that the students exhibited a slight awareness of their local history. Moreover, they have generally agreed to school-based initiatives to nurture cultural heritage appreciation. The Pearson-r correlation analysis revealed that the student's knowledge of KASALO did not significantly correlate to their appreciation of Kapampangan's local cultural heritage. The implications underlined the need for teachers to introduce more novel ways to integrate topics in local history in the AP classroom and strengthen local studies centers to promote the study of local history for the future.

The BOS fund aims to eliminate all poor student in basic education level from school operating costs, both in public schools and private schools. Eliminating all state elementary and junior high school students on school operating costs, except for International school standart (SBI) and Stub International School Standart (RSBI), and ease the burden of school operating costs for students in private schools.            The existence of BOS funds is not supported by good management in every school including at SMP Negeri 2 Satui. In managing BOS funds are still done with manual recording so that sometimes there is human error such as mistakes in inputting data that causes data to be inaccurate and relevant. Responding to these ocstacles, then a web-based information system made to solve the problem. This system can make treasurer easy the to create financial report that always update each month and facilitate the headmaster to see the reports that have been made.

Face with the demands of an ever changing global society, our country has in recent years made a shift in its educational landscape. Despite some doubts from the Filipino community, as early as June 2012 we have witness the nationwide implementation of K -12 curriculum in the basic education level as well as the pavement of an outcomes based education for the tertiary level spearheaded by the Commission on Higher Education last 2014. Amidst these swift changes in our education system are the perceived challenges and measures of effectiveness in the implementation of the said programs especially the k – 12 curriculum which is by nature centers on an outcomes based instruction or result – oriented. Corollary to this, there is a present exigency to determine the outcomes based instruction employed by teachers in the high school, its effectives, and perceived challenges. In line with such objectives, this humble work aimed at determining the different strategies used by social sciences teachers at the Mindanao State University – Sulu and the Sulu College of Technology. It also distinguished the level of effectiveness of the OBE strategies in social sciences as perceived by social sciences teachers and students of the two well – known institutions in Sulu. Furthermore, the researcher also looked into the perceived challenges encountered by the respondents in their implementation of an outcomes based instruction.
