BaLa2Ti3O10 ceramics for thermal barrier coating (TBC) applications were fabricated, and exposed to V2O5 and Na2SO4 + V2O5 molten salts at 900 °C to investigate the hot corrosion behavior. After 4 h corrosion tests, the main reaction products resulting from V2O5 salt corrosion were LaVO4, TiO2, and Ba3V4O13, whereas those due to Na2SO4 + V2O5 corrosion consisted of LaVO4, TiO2, BaSO4 and some Ba3V4O13. The structures of reaction layers on the surfaces depended on the corrosion medium. In V2O5 salt, the layer was dense and had a thickness of 8–10 μm. While in Na2SO4 + V2O5 salt, it had a ~15 μm porous structure and a dense, thin band at the bottom. Beneath the dense layer or the band, no obvious molten salt was found. The mechanisms by which the reaction layer forms were discussed.

We made on numerical analysis of phase difference between pressure along the pipe axis and given oscillatory flow velocity in an straight pipe under a nonuniform steady magnetic field. In the analysis, a few cases under the assumption of numerical condition were conducted on: the first is taking into account the least compressibility of the fluid with using the obtained experimental data of the bulk modulus, the second taking into account the nonuniform distribution of mass concentration of particles, and the thrid taking into account the aggregation with the number of aggregated particles proposing as a prorate spheroid. By considering the three effects of the least compressibility and the nonuniform distribution of mass concentration, the aggregation as a prorate spheroid, the phase difference varies quantitatively at the lowest Womersley number range. And then, the numerical results were compared with the experimental data.

A theoretical investigation of extraordinary polarized surface waves at the second harmonics of ion and electron cyclotron frequencies propagating across an external steady magnetic field is carried out in the case of weak plasma spatial dispersion when the thermal velocities of plasma particles are much less than the phase velocities of the considered waves. These waves are eigenmodes of a planar plasma–vacuum waveguide structure that is situated in a steady magnetic field oriented parallel to the plasma surface. A cold charged-particle beam is assumed to propagate over the plasma interface. Excitation of surface X modes at the second harmonics of electron and ion cyclotron frequencies due to the beam–plasma interaction is studied analytically. The dependence of surface-type X-mode (STXM) growth rates on the considered waveguide structural parameters is also studied.
