Information system must provide data, information and adequate information technology for: the running of the business process, management (subsystems and business functions etc.), expertise basics for management decision-making and, main business system management. In business systems three dimensions determine management, namely: executive body management, adaptation and development, which includes business processes as well. Therefore we can distinguish two basic business system application fields: a) information executive body subsystem, b) information subsystem development. Information subsystem development provides all the necessary data and information required for the adaptation projects carried out by managers and personnel as well as for the business system development. These projects are carried out on the business system and subsystem level. Information system project is an information system aimed at fulfilling information demands of the main system project, of the maintaining system project, as well as of the project system management. These projects are the result of strategies carried out within business systems. They are aimed at transforming strategies into projects, which are then carried out by business systems in a determined period of time. The quick transformation of strategies into projects together with the quick and higher quality performance, give rise to an advantage in business system competition.

Abstract—The need for information system development in a company is a basic requirement that must be met by each company in order to run its business processes properly. This is the basic key in a company in order to provide maximum results to find as many profits or profits. Application development or requirements in the application also provide speed for employees to carry out their activities to work properly and optimally. The development of the era requires that companies must be productive and have innovations so that the business wheel of the company can run well. This is based on the development of technology that is so fast that it requires special expertise in its application. This research is expected to be able to help some problems that exist in a company. Where its application can make it easier for employees to carry out their respective duties and roles in order to maximize their potential. An integrated information system is a need to help solve problems in managing business transactions. SAP application is one application that is able to provide solutions to these problems. The purpose of writing this research is to plan running business processes, plan implementation of the current SAP system related to the implementation and maintenance of SAP applications and provide development suggestions based on the results of planning obtained, in terms of business processes, performance, and financial. For the analysis, the IT Balanced Scorecard method is used, while for system development the ASAP (Accelerated SAP) methodology is used. This research produces an analysis of the planning of the company's business processes in implementing the implementation of the SAP financial and controlling ERP.

With the rapid development of information processing technology and continuously evolving technological hardware and software, the scale of spatial data has grown exponentially. This has necessitated that stricter requirements be placed on the way data is processed. The traditional single-machine centralized data processing method is gradually being replaced by the network-based cloud geographic information system (GIS) mode. However, the information processing method of the business system in the existing spatial information network environment is difficult to expand, which limits the application of the business system. This paper proposes an on-demand and extended model for the GIS data processing procedure that considers the three-way separation of algorithm development, business processes, and the operational interface, and can implement an on-demand expansion of business processes by process modeling the business and task scheduling the workflow engine. This can expand the scope of business systems and improve the efficiency of business system construction.

Users have been described as necessary experts in information system developments. This research introduces a viewpoint that the users are the main actors in development projects and the other participants only give their experience for the use of the actual developers. In addition to the strong involvement of users, our research emphasises the special nature of the information system project with earlier-made specifications. This article suggests that in order to achieve a successful output, a reflective and flexible working process is needed. This suggestion is valid especially in a case that is out of the line of common approaches that are described in the literature. The research approach in this study was qualitative and the empirical material was gathered from a case study. The approach was subjective and it necessitated interpretation when analysing the results. The case included an information system development that was carried out to produce an inter-organisational information system to support certain functionality between organisations. Despite the output was an information system, we argue that the approach with active users is also applicable in the development of any other artefact.

This chapter aims to outline the methodologies for solving the most important challenges in the field of innovation management – assessment of innovative events and activities and selection of optimal calendar periods for carrying them out. A transdisciplinary approach is used as a way of solving this problem. Basic principles of this approach, principles of building transdisciplinary models of informational and temporal order units will be covered, thereby making it possible to represent development as a multiplex or a totality of M-waves. Use of such models allows to offer special methodologies - an innovative chart of business system development. Results of a retrospective analysis of several enterprises are shown, which confirm the effectiveness of this methodical technique, and an example of building an innovative chart of development is presented, including the calculation of schedule periods for development and implementation of investment, as well as mandatory critical points and control points in the future development of business systems.

The challenges of information systems (IS) development have changed significantly in the past 15 years. From a situation where the main problem was to build stable systems based on a requirements specification, the IS project manager now faces challenges of integration; for example: how to integrate a new information system into large existing information infrastructures and unstable business processes? Building on a socio-technical perspective, four types of integration were identified and analyzed: external and internal stakeholder integration, and internal and external technical integration. A longitudinal case study of an e-business development project in the airline industry identified and highlighted some managerial challenges of integration. Findings include: Internal technical and (to some extent) stakeholder integration is well supported by traditional project management techniques and software engineering frameworks, such as the Rational Unified Process (RUP). However, the challenges of external stakeholder and technical integration is underrated in IS development research, and not well supported in RUP.

PurposeThe authors examine the nature of institutional rigidity and governance problems contributing to crisis and under-performance of large corporations in Japan during a period of environmental turbulence for corporate Japan.Design/methodology/approachThrough explorative case studies of Mitsubishi Motors and Kanebo over a 10-year period from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s the authors see how informal norms deeply embedded in the Japanese business system prevented the adoption of more liberal forms of governance that may have helped to overcome crisis.FindingsDespite fundamental differences in formal organization between the two cases, there were similar underlying problems in terms of (1) mechanisms for capital investment that would underpin strategic resilience and rejuvenation and (2) management decision-making and strategic control during crisis.Research limitations/implicationsThe cases show how normative institutions rather than formal regulative institutions matter to strategic continuity in national business systems that are put under pressure.Originality/valueThe authors link informal norms of governance intrinsic to a country to the issues of strategic resilience and responses during crisis and warn against the retrenching to traditional governance approaches where there has been criticism of alternative governance approaches.

The article summarizes and systematizes views on the process of implementation of the operational audit of the modern business systems. In the study the author has outlined its views on the possibility of applying the specified direction of the audit when the permanent influence of the external environment on the business system, opened its significant advantages for system management of these entities. In addition, the author revealed the potential use as tools audit research business systems techniques operationally-cost analysis and economic-mathematical modeling.

Tracking difficulty generally exists in the traditional warehouse management mode in the business process, the turnover, low efficiency, logistics management information processing is not seasonable and means backward, thus affecting the competitiveness of enterprises, based on the analysis of traditional logistics warehousing management deficiencies, the great advantage of application of RFID technology in logistics field to solve the above problem. The logistics management information system based on RFID is analyzed, based on the traditional logistics business processes analysis, given the information and process structure of logistics business processes, and established a framework method storage business system based on RFID technology.

An Extension of BPMN Meta-model for Evaluation of Business ProcessesBusiness process modeling is used for better understanding and communication of company's processes. Mostly, business process modeling is discussed from the information system development perspective. Execution of a business process involves various factors (costs and time) which are important and should be represented in business process models. Controlling of business units uses post execution analysis for detection of failures for improvement. The process models conceived for information system development are not sufficient for post execution analysis. This paper focuses on the challenges of business process modeling in the post execution context. We provide a meta model for evaluation of a business process and discuss BPMN in this context. We also extend existing BPMN meta model for performance analysis of business processes. The proposed extensions are presented with the help of an example.
