Background: The theory of Technological Competency as Caring in Nursing (TCCN) was developed by Locsin (2005) to guide the expression of “technological competency as caring in nursing” among practicing nurses. While the Technological Competency as Caring in Nursing Instrument (TCCNI) was developed and translated into other languages, no instrument measuring the TCCN among Japanese nurses was developed and tested. Thus, the Perceived Inventory of Technological Competency of Caring in Nursing (PITCCN) was developed and improved. Aim: The aim of this study was to validate the PITCCN using construct validity through structural equation modeling (SEM). Methods: The PITCCN is a four-factor questionnaire. The PITCCN was distributed to four hospitals (402 nurses) from selected Shikoku District in Japan. The theoretical model was tested using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Exploratory factor analysis and CFA via a SEM were used to justify construct validity, and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was determined to establish reliability of constructs using SPSS and AMOS 25.0. Results: Finding shows that the chosen fit index test like Tucker Lewis Index (TLI), Goodness of Fit Index (GFI), and Normed Fit Index (NFI) are greater than 0.80 as set by the requirement. The values of the chi-square/degree of freedom (CMIN/DF), Comparative Fit Index (CFI), Incremental Fit Index (IFI), and Root Mean Square of Error Approximation (RMSEA) showed acceptable to good fit. Conclusion: GFI of the structure model was acceptable.

Abstract Objective This study reports the development and psychometric evaluation of the Smartphone for Clinical Work Scale (SCWS) to measure nurses’ use of smartphones for work purposes. Methods Items were developed based on literature review and a preliminary study. After expert consultations and pilot testing, a 20-item scale was administered in January-June 2017 to 517 staff nurses from 19 tertiary-level general hospitals in Metro Manila, Philippines. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were used to evaluate construct validity. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test the predictive validity of SCWS on perceived work productivity. Results EFA results show that 15 out of 20 items loaded on five factors: communication with clinicians via call and text, communication with doctors via instant messaging, information seeking, communication with nurses via instant messaging, and communication with patients via call and text. CFA results suggest that the five factors that form SCWS have adequate fit to the data, thus supporting construct validity. SEM results suggest predictive validity since SCWS was positively associated with perceived work productivity. Conclusions The 15-item SCWS showed satisfactory psychometric properties for use in future studies. These studies can focus on identifying factors associated with nurses’ use of smartphones for work purposes.

Employees are the most valuable assets of an organization; therefore, it is very important to understand their behavior. In this regard, the present study was carried out in order to examine the effect of organizational climate on job involvement among nurses working in the teaching hospitals of Qazvin Province, Iran. The present descriptive analytical study was done in 2017. To randomly select a specific proportion of nurses from each of Qazvin teaching hospitals, stratified sampling was used. In total, 340 nurses were selected. Data were collected using 3 questionnaires: Halpin and Kraft Organizational Climate Questionnaire, Job Involvement Questionnaire (Kanungo), and Allen and Myer Organizational Commitment Questionnaire. For data analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were used applying AMOS-24 software. The results of path analysis showed the effect of organizational climate on the nurses’ job involvement. Moreover, organizational climate influenced organizational commitment through the mediation of job involvement. According to values obtained for degree of freedom based on chi-square, goodness-of-fit index, root mean square error of approximation, and comparative fit index were in the defined range; therefore, the validity of the conceptual model was approved. Based on the results of the present study, managers of health organizations can achieve their goals by understanding the organizational climate of the hospitals and its effect on the employees’ job involvement and discovering strategies needed for organizational commitment improvement.

Back ground and Purpose: Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. The purpose of this study is to validate the Vietnamese version of Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) for burnout measuring in Vietnam. Methods: using cross-sectional study, factorial validity of MBI-GS was tested by exploratory factor analysis then accompanied by confirmatory factor analysis. Pearson’s correlation is used to check criterion-related validity. Results: the model of three factors structure without item 8 and 9 was suggested as the best fit model with chi-square (X2 = 285.13, P < .0001), root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA = 0.07), comparative fit index (CFI = 0.92), goodness of fit index (GFI = 0.91). Conclusions: The construct validity of Vietnamese version of Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey is acceptable for use in future investigations regarding burnout.

This study aims to verify and explain that Selection (X1) and Training (X2) has positive and significant influence to Perception of Employee Performance (Y2) mediated by Competency (Y1). Population in this study are employees at Inspectorate General of Ministry of Religion Affair. The sampel used in study are 136 respondents used sensus method. Data analysis was conducted by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze correlation between the independent variables (Selection (X1) and Training (X2) on the dependent variables (Perception of Employee Performance (Y2)) with Competency (Y1) as a intervening variable. The data was processed using AMOS 21.0 (Analysis of Moment Structures). The SEM analysis result has fulfilled Goodness of Fit Index Criteria with coefficient Chi-Square=36,078, Probability=0,171, RMSEA=0,043, GFI=0,953, AGFI=0,912, CMIN/df=1,244, TLI=0,956, and CFI=0,972. The result shows that selection has a positive and significant influence on the perception of employee performance (coefficient 0,65). Selection with competency as an intervening variable gives positive and significant influence on the perception of employee performance (coefficient 0,6878). Training has not a positive and significant influence on the perception of employee performance (coefficient -0,21). Training with competency as an intervening variable gives positive and significant influence on the perception of employee performance (coefficient 0,0798). Competency has a positive and significant influence on the perception of employee performance (coefficient 1,261). Keywords: selection, training, competency, perception of employee performance

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji teori dan model yang fit dengan data empiris mengenai masalah pengaruh kemandirian terhadap prestasi belajar Bahasa Indonesia kelas XI SMA Di Kota Depok Jawa Barat tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survey. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Depok Jawa Barat. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik sampel acak proporsional sebanyak 306 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes objektif dan kuesioner skala Model Likert. Data diperoleh berdasarkan kemampuan siswa menjawab soal Bahasa Indonesia dankemandirian dalam belajar. Analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), dengan bantuan program aplikasi LISREL 8.80. Hasil penelitian dari 2 variabel laten dan 9 variabel kontruk yang cocok dengan model yang diusulkan, diperoleh dari uji hipotesis berdasarkan nilai GAMMA memiliki standar loading sebesar 0.68 error sebesar 0.05 nilai t-hitung sebesar 12.62 bila dikonsultasikan dengan nilai ttabel dengan jumlah sampel > 100 : α 0.05 maka diperoleh ttabel sebesar 1.96. karena thitung 12.62 > ttabel 1.96 maka dapat disimpulkan; kemandirian belajar berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Kemudian untuk uji kecocokan model, merujuk pada kecocokan model fit yang dapat diterima. Background:The symptoms of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are directly influenced by numerous factors, and it is thought that additional factors exert indirect influences. However, the relationships between TMD-related symptoms (TRS) and these contributing factors are largely unknown. Thus, the goal of the present study was to investigate influences on TRS in a working population by determining the prevalence of TRS, analyzing contributing factors, and determining their relative influences on TRS.Materials and Methods:The study subjects were 2203 adults who worked for a single company. Subjects completed a questionnaire assessing TRS, psychosocial factors (stress, anxiety, depressed mood, and chronic fatigue), tooth-contacting habit, and sleep bruxism-related morning symptoms, using a 5-point numeric rating scale. Our analysis proceeded in 2 phases. First, all variables of the descriptor were divided into parts by using an exploratory factor analysis. Second, this factorial structure was verified by using a confirmatory factor analysis with structural equation modeling.Results:Of 2203 employees, 362 reported experiencing TRS (16.4%). Structural equation modeling generated a final model with a goodness of fit index of 0.991, an adjusted goodness of fit index of 0.984, and a root mean square error of approximately 0.021. These indices indicate a strong structural model. The standardized path coefficients for “habitual behavioral factors and TRS,” “psychosocial factors and habitual behavioral factors,” “psychosocial factors and TRS,” and “gender and habitual behavior factors” were 0.48, 0.38, 0.14, and 0.18, respectively.Conclusions:Habitual behavioral factors exert a stronger effect on TRS than do psychosocial factors.

The study determined the direction and magnitude of the relationships of academic buoyancy, aptitude and school environment towards mathematics achievement of the pre-service teachers through Structural Equation Modeling. Maximum Likelihood was used to estimate while Chi-square/degrees of freedom, Goodness of Fit Index, Normal Fit Index, Tucker-Lewis Index, Comparative Fit Index, and Root Mean Square Error of Approximation indices were used to evaluate the goodness of fit of the hypothesized models. The best fit model for the mathematics achievement of pre-service teachers is best anchored on aptitude supported by school environment. Academic buoyancy is necessary but insufficient for mathematics achievement.

Objective: To develop a conceptual model that confirms whether mobility-related activities of daily living (ADLs) abilities are strongly associated with reduced health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in older adults. Methods: A total of 153 participants (63 men, 90 women) were analyzed. The mobility-related ADL survey from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan was used. The Japanese version (v1.2) of the Medical Outcomes Study 36-item Short-Form Health Survey was administered to evaluate HRQOL. Structural equation modeling was performed to test a hypothetical model: mobility-related ADL abilities would influence HRQOL. Results: The chi-square value was not significant (chi-square = 9.463, p = .305), and goodness-of-fit values were high, implying that the model was validated; goodness-of-fit index, 0.981; adjusted goodness-of-fit index, 0.949; comparative fit index, 0.996; and root mean square error of approximation, 0.035. Results showed that mobility-related ADL abilities influenced the physical health including physical function and general health in HRQOL. Conclusions: This study developed the conceptual model confirming the influence of mobility-related ADL abilities especially on physical health. Further intervention studies on instructions/training for physical activity of healthy older adults should assess this causal relationship.

Konflik, perselisihan, dan pertentangan dapat terjadi dimana saja, kapan saja, antar siapa saja dan menyangkut hal apa saja, sehingga konflik pun dapat terjadi ditempat kerja. Dalam lingkungan kerja, konflik antar karyawan yang terjadi sebaiknya diselesaikan dengan baik karena konflik yang dapat diselesaikan akan menurunkan tingkat stres dan meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Dari latar belakang tersebut maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyelesaian konflik antar karyawan terhadap stres kerja dan kinerja karyawan pada PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara, Tbk Surabaya. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian maka teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan program AMOS 4.01. Variabel pada penelitian ini adalah penyelesaian konflik antar karyawan yang terdiri dari : variabel kerjasama, variabel bersaing, variabel menghindar, variabel akomodasi dan variabel kompromi, sedangkan variabel terikat yang digunakan adalah variabel stres kerja dan variabel kinerja karyawan. Data yang digunakan didasarkan pada hasil kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada responden, responden pada penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara, Tbk Surabaya. Analisis hasil pengujian Goodness-Of Fit Index, menunjukkan data mempunyai kecocokan yang baik dengan model penelitian dengan hasil Chi Square = 154,229 dan koefisien determinan ( R2 ) dalam model SEM ditunjukkan oleh nilai AGFI = 0,792 yang masih berada di bawah Cut Off Value, namun sudah dapat dikatakan bahwa model sudah Fit dalam uji model SEM. Model menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh langsung antara variabel kerjasama, bersaing, menghindar, akomodasi dan kompromi terhadap stres kerja dan kinerja karyawan. Karyawan PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara, Tbk Surabaya lebih menyukai penyelesaian konflik dengan cara Kompromi hal ini didasarkan pada perhitungan dari data yang diolah bahwa penyelesaian konflik antar karyawan dengan cara ini memberikan kontribusi terbesar dalam menurunkan stres kerja, sedangkan penyelesaian konflik antar karyawan dengan cara bersaing memberikan kontribusi terbesar terhadap kinerja karyawan. Karyawan menganggap bahwa kedua cara ini dianggap sebagai cara yang efektif dalam menciptakan hubungan kerja dan terciptanya keharmonisan dalam berorganisasi.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pengukuran tingkat kepercayaan pelanggan terhadap situs e-commerce. Langkah awal yang dilakukan yaitu identifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepercayaan pelanggan melalui studi literatur dan studi empirik untuk menentukan model analisis terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kepercayaan pelanggan untuk bertransaksi secara online yaitu pengetahuan konsumen terhadap e-commerce, reputasi penjual, resiko dalam transaksi, kemudahan penggunaan e-commerce, jaminan sistem, sikap/perilaku terhadap sistem dan sistem keamanan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Provinsi Bali menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan snowball sampling dengan kriteria responden pernah berkunjung dan melakukan transaksi di e-commerce yang ada di Indonesia lebih dari 3 kali. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan data interval berskala 5 Likert. Instrumen terlebih dahulu diuji validitas isi dengan metode Robert Gregory, validitas empiris menggunakan rumus product moment, reliabilitas instrument menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha, dan menghasilkan 59 pernyataan yang dapat digunakan untuk pengambilan data. Jumlah responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 126 responden. Teknik analisis data, pengujian hipotesis dan pengujian model menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS AMOS 21. Hasil penelitian ini melalui pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan tentang situs e-commerce dan perlindungan keamanan berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kepercayaan pelanggan. Resiko, kemudahan e-commerce, jaminan sistem dan sistem keamanan bukan menjadi sesuatu yang penting untuk dipertimbangkan dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan pelanggan karena pengaruhnya tidak signifikan. Reputasi yang dirasakan dan sikap merupakan hal yang perlu diperhatikan dan paling berpengaruh terhadap kepercayaan pelanggan pelanggan. Hasil penelitian ini kemudian diuji menggunakan goodness of fit index dan menghasilkan bahwa model penelitian tersebut dapat diterima dan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keinginan pelanggan untuk bertransaksi online
