<pre>Randomly selected 220 substance (Heroin) dependents who were admitted to different drug rehabilitation centers completed 'Internalized the Stigma of Substance Abuse Scale', for 'drug stigmatization', 'Social Functioning Questionnaire', for 'social functioning' and 'Robson Self-concept Questionnaire', for 'self-concept'.It was assumed that the scores of substance (Heroin) dependents belonging to the Oriental culture (Eastern-subcontinent culture) could be comparable to the scores of available Western culture substance dependents? The SPSS analysis showed a certain resemblance. Internalized stigma turned out to be significantly negatively correlated with self-image (p < .01), with self-concept (p < .01) and with social functioning (p < .01). Some additional context issues were also discussed.</pre>
