Learning behavior is an attitude that arises from students in responding and responding to each teaching and learning activity that occurs. one form of behavior is learning motivation. According to behavioristic theory, learning is a change in behavior as a result of an interaction between stimulus (stimulus) and response (response). The stimulus given by the teacher in learning is contained in the design of learning activities. Learning activities are activities designed by the teacher to realize and or create the conditions for student learning (stimulus). Selection of appropriate learning activities allows for the occurrence of pedagogical effectiveness in achieving learning goals, and can form positive student behavior (response) in learning. Outdoor-based learning mathematics learning design contains a series of learning activities based on the context of outdoor problems (real life problems) with the content of modeling mathematics material. In this paper will discuss learning behavior and how motivation is formed through the activities of learning activities outdoor-modeling mathematics which are classified into mental activities, visual activities, emotional activities, motor activities. Through the descriptive qualitative method, taking 20 students of class IX-B Muaro Jambi Middle School 1 who have visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. after the implementation of learning, data retrieval was carried out through questionnaires, and observation sheets and interviews to the research subjects. Mathematics is very closely related to the habits that exist in society. The habits that exist in society can be called a culture. The concept or aspect of mathematics related to culture is called ethnomathematics. Ethnomathematics can also be used as teaching materials that can attract students' interest in mathematics, because students will find it easier to learn science that is directly related to real life. Thus, ethnomathematics is very important in mathematics learning activities so students can learn between mathematics and culture, and know the cultural activities that exist in the surrounding community. In this study, the ethnomathematics of the tumpeng and the Tumpeng Sewu Banyuwangi ritual, which is one of the cultures in Indonesia, will be described as well as utilizing the results of their research into ethnomathematic Students’ Worksheets (LKS). Ethnomathematics obtained are activities of counting, counting, and measuring, as well as some mathematical concepts such as algebra, arithmetic, and geometry.

Few teacher educators would dispute that preservice teachers benefit from active participation in planning, implementing, and evaluating experiential learning activities in natural environments. Such experiences help them to understand how environmental education can be successfully woven into a teaching program rather than just an added “frill” presented in isolation. However, it is difficult to find efficient ways of organising these experiences in tertiary institutions. This paper discusses a partnership formed among teacher educators, schools, and field study centers in New South Wales, Australia. It was devised to enhance the experiences in environmental education for all participants, and at the same time make efficient use of human resources.

This study reports upon design-based research that enacted mobile mathematics learning for preservice teachers across classroom, community, and online settings. The integration of mobile learning within mathematics teacher education is understudied, and it is necessary to better understand mobile technology affordances when locating disciplinary inquiry across settings. A curriculum module was designed to support preservice teachers’ participation in two mathematics education and mobile learning repertoires: a) mobile investigation of disciplinary concepts situated in community locations and circumstances, and b) mobile interpretation of connections between school and everyday mathematics. This exploratory case study analyzes three module iterations and identifies the qualities of preservice teachers’ cross-setting disciplinary connections. Reported mobile learning outcomes include connections preservice teachers produced among mathematics concepts, mathematical actions, and material objects, and also connections produced between school mathematics and everyday circumstances. Findings indicate preservice teachers established disciplinary connections when participating in commercial and civic activities relevant to their daily lives. Yet other mathematics concepts and practices were either seldom investigated, only vaguely described, or not representative of K-12 students’ interests and cultures. Design recommendations and implications are suggested for subsequent attempts at situating preservice teacher learning outside of the mathematics teacher education classroom and across multiple settings through mobile learning.

Mathematical logical intelligence is one of the skills that are needed in the 21st century related to mathematical problem-solving skills. The importance of this skill is not in line with the facts on the ground, where students are still weak in counting and using logic in problem solving. The purpose of this research is to improve students’ mathematical logical intelligence through the online-based integration of local wisdom of Sulapa Eppa Walasuji. Sulapa Eppa Walasuji is one of the Bugis-Makassar local wisdoms with a unique pattern, appropriate to be used as a medium for learning transformation of geometry. Through the integration of local wisdom, Sulapa Eppa Walasuji can create contextual mathematics learning, so that students can easily understand the material by connecting real-life concepts. This research includes experimental research with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group design type. The research instrument used was a mathematical logical intelligence test consisting of five essay questions. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics with gain score and effect size testing. The results showed that the mathematical logical intelligence of experimental class students increased by 43.16 with the effective contribution of the r effect size being 0.910. This indicates that the online-based integration of Sulapa Eppa Walasuji can improve students’ mathematical logical intelligence.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, university professors are challenged to re-envision mathematics learning environments for virtual delivery. Those of us teaching in elementary teacher preparation programs are exploring different learning environments that not only promote meaningful learning but also foster positive attitudes about mathematics teaching. One learning environment that has been shown to be effective for introducing preservice teachers to the creative side of mathematics—the mathematics makerspace—promotes computational thinking and pedagogical understandings about teaching mathematics, but the collaborative, hands-on nature of such a learning environment is difficult to simulate in virtual delivery. This article describes the research-based design decisions for the re-envisioned virtual mathematics makerspace.
