During the process of building construction, the role of geological survey is most important and it can be the factor that determines the success of an entire building construction project. Only if the geological survey is valued and related investigation record works is done prior to building construction, and ensures that the integrity and accuracy of the records, then only a scientific construction design can be made and assure the stability of the construction building. It can also promote the success of building construction; keep the harmony of the natural environment of construction site and to establish a good foundation for the sustainable development of building construction. Therefore, this paper mainly analyses the geo-logical survey technique in building construction engineering.

This article discusses the role of small business and the characteristics of investment factors that affect the economy of Kyrgyzstan, as a factor in the sustainable development of the country. The development of small small businesses is the basis for the stability of the macroeconomic situation of the state. Officially, small and medium-sized businesses have been identified in Kyrgyzstan as the most important sector of the economy. An analysis of data on the production of small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan shows that small business shows the most productive activity.

The prosperity and the stability of a family incomplete until a woman are not empowered. Empowerment means the raising of spiritual, political, social, gender or economic strength of individuals and communities, if a women is educated she can then rightly participate, organize, make others aware of the various programmes which is necessary for the upliftment of women. The women can understand and better coordinate with other women. The women folk especially belonging to rural areas had developed myth that they are dependent on males for their survival and are themselves unable to earn their bread. A Woman has been always the victim of discrimination and is given secondary importance in the society. They are unable to express themselves to outsiders because of restrictions imposed on them. This deteriorating condition of women is because of their unemployment, low status, least decisions making power, lack in education and awareness about the laws of both sexes. These problems have been somewhat rectified by many Self Help Groups (SHGs) operating in Jammu and Kashmir. This organization can train the women for various skill development programmes thus can assist. Women in standing on their feet and also in the assessments of their potential. Although government under its various schemes and projects has been trying to facilitate the economic empowerment of women belonging to lower economic strata, but has not attained much success. Under these circumstances the need of empowering of women through different schemes and projects is in need of and the formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs) is one of the ways to tackle the situation. It can act as a potent medium that can ensure the all-round development of women particularly rural areas. Women can get rid of financial problems as this group gives them access to various agencies and banks from which they can lend a loan to start their business or their work etc. The present paper is an attempt to showcase the role, vitality of Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the sustainable development of women in the state of Jammu and Kashmir where the women folk is mostly victimized by severe and bad conditions.

This article examines the conditions for the formation of financial and industrial groups in Uzbekistan and the participation of commercial banks in their activities. The purpose of the study is to formulate recommendations for creating the necessary conditions for the formation and organization of the activities of financial and industrial groups. The authors used the following research methods: grouping, abstraction, comparative analysis, structural analysis, and scientific forecasting. This article also describes the role of financial and industrial groups in the development of the economy and assesses the possibility of creating financial and industrial groups with the participation of commercial banks. In addition, the features and prospects for the creation of financial and industrial groups in Uzbekistan have been identified. The authors conclude that there are the following grounds for the formation of financial and industrial groups with the participation of commercial banks in Uzbekistan: the volume of commercial bank loans allocated to the real sector of the economy is increasing, there is a great need for financial resources to modernize production, as well as technical and technological re-equipment of enterprises. The formation of financial and industrial groups in the national economy will lead to the sustainable development of the industrial sector, ensuring the stability of the financial and banking system and increasing the competitiveness of the national economy.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to advance a model that relates the criteria of sustainable development with the construction engineering of buildings. Moreover, a method to evaluate the building sustainability is suggested. Design/methodology/approach The method is based on calculating the weighted expected utility function of a building with respect to composite indicator. Findings Based on this integrated approach, a tentative index to evaluate the sustainability of buildings is proposed. Research limitations/implications The study is limited to the assessment of the sustainable development of the built environment. Practical implications The feasibility of assessing the sustainability of a building using the sustainable index of buildings (SIB) is that it permits the decision-makers to study the potential improvement in the sustainable development of buildings in the long and short run. Moreover, the role of benchmarking in improving the sustainability performance of buildings is discussed in view of the suggested method. Social implications The present method is practical and easy to use for ranking building (or a part of a building) according to the sustainable performance. Originality/value New methodology based on integrating the value-focused thinking together with the composite indicators is used to evaluate the sustainable development.

Using an experimental design approach, researchers altered process parameters and material prop-erties to stabilize the curtain of a pilot curtain coater at high speeds. Part I of this paper identifies the four significant variables that influence curtain stability. The boundary layer air removal system was critical to the stability of the curtain and base sheet roughness was found to be very important. A shear thinning coating rheology and higher curtain heights improved the curtain stability at high speeds. The sizing of the base sheet affected coverage and cur-tain stability because of its effect on base sheet wettability. The role of surfactant was inconclusive. Part II of this paper will report on further optimization of curtain stability with these four variables using a D-optimal partial-facto-rial design.

<p>pH-switchable, self-assembling materials are of interest in biological imaging and sensing applications. Here we propose that combining the pH-switchability of RXDX (X=Ala, Val, Leu, Ile, Phe) peptides and the optical properties of coumarin creates an ideal candidate for these materials. This suggestion is tested with a thorough set of all-atom molecular dynamics simulations. We first investigate the dependence of pH-switchabiliy on the identity of the hydrophobic residue, X, in the bare (RXDX)4 systems. Increasing the hydrophobicity stabilizes the fiber which, in turn, reduces the pH-switchabilty of the system. This behavior is found to be somewhat transferable to systems in which a single hydrophobic residue is replaced with a coumarin containing amino acid. In this case, conjugates with X=Ala are found to be unstable and both pHs while conjugates with X=Val, Leu, Ile and Phe are found to form stable β-sheets at least at neutral pH. The (RFDF)4-coumarin conjugate is found to have the largest relative entropy value of 0.884 +/- 0.001 between neutral and acidic coumarin ordering distributions. Thus, we posit that coumarin-(RFDF)4 containing peptide sequences are ideal candidates for pH-sensing bioelectronic materials.</p>

We report selective formation of heterobimetallic PtII/CuI complexes that demonstrate how facile bond activation processes can be achieved by altering reactivity of common organoplatinum compounds through their interaction with another metal center. The interaction of the Cu center with Pt center and with a Pt-bound alkyl group increases the stability of PtMe2 towards undesired rollover cyclometalation. The presence of the CuI center also enables facile transmetalation from electron-deficient tetraarylborate [B(ArF)4]- anion and mild C-H bond cleavage of a terminal alkyne, which was not observed in the absence of an electrophilic Cu center. The DFT study indicates that the role of Cu center acts as a binding site for alkyne substrate, while activating its terminal C-H bond.
