<p>With the rapid development of modern economy, the scale of cities is constantly expanding and the population is constantly growing. Strengthening urban construction has become one of the important work contents of socialist modernization in China. To build a modern city, road construction is the key work of urbanization. Subgrade is the most important construction link in urban road construction and the important foundation of road engineering. In this paper, combined with the specific conditions of urban roads, the construction technology and management measures of urban road subgrade are deeply explored, and perfect construction schemes and management measures are formulated to provide more reliable reference basis for promoting urban development and construction.</p>

With the rapid development of China's economy, the construction scale of urban transport is also expanding. Among them, municipal road construction is an important part of urban infrastructure as well as an important guarantee for the development of people's livelihood; it is also an important driving force to promote urban transport system and social life development. The article discusses the era of maximizing road connectivity receding into the past, giving way to the broader challenge of creating livable, cost-effective, socially healthy and environmentally sustainable cities and metropolitan areas. A metropolis is defined as a “supercity”, the largest form of settlement and the highest link in the urbanization process, one of the main criteria of which is the rapid development of communications in general, and transport in particular. A modern metropolis is highly dependent on an efficient transport system, which ensures its livelihoods through the delivery of goods and provides the population with access to resources, jobs and residential areas. The effective mobility of economic development of cities and agglomerations, which are the locomotives of the modern economy, is considered. The extensive development of the transport systems of megalopolises through the construction of new roads becomes ineffective, since the increase in the number of private cars outstrips the pace of road construction. The paradigm of urban development in the 2000s changed from a “city for cars” to a simple, at first glance, “city for people” paradigm, and mobility was also considered.

<p>Municipal drainage ducts construction generally covers a wide land area within the rapid development of city, which apparently causes heavy traffic. In order to ensure the construction is in accordance to the time-frame the construction techniques of both quick and economy, civilization municipal drainage pipeline, and to reduce interference of the urban road, transport and environment of interference are important. The study focuses mainly on the municipal engineering aspect by investigating more on the construction technology of road drainage itself.</p>

With the rapid development of cities, more and more new roads are built in various civil engineering projects. Subgrade construction is the core of road engineering system. Only by comprehensively ensuring the quality of road subgrade can the road performance be effectively improve and the development of urban construction be ensured. The quality of subgrade determines the traffic capacity of urban roads and plays a decisive role in the safety and stability of traffic. This article mainly analyzes the problems of road subgrade construction in civil engineering, and comprehensively puts forward countermeasures, so as to effectively improve the subgrade construction quality and ensure the smooth operation of roads.

With the rapid development of the economy in China and the speeding up of urbanization, urban roads and highways in China continue to increase. However, due to some of the characteristics of road construction, long duration, high fluidity, large volume of work and complex process, there exist many security problems during the period of construction, which determines that security management is unoptimistic on construction site. This paper makes a comprehensive research over the achievements of domestic and foreign experts and analyzes the causes of the security incidents in domestic road construction, so as to further clarify that the deep reasons for the security incidents in management. Based on this, the author advances the corresponding security management measures. With comprehensive evaluation methods applied on road construction site, the security situation can be predicted and prevented whenever and wherever possible.

Road Landscape design does not exist independently in urban construction but intergrates into the urban cultures by design. This article discusses based on Huangshi Mining and Metallurgy culture the urban road design from the aspects of color, pavement, blind sidewalk, plants, and public environment facilities. Also it proposes the way of design that combines cultural landscape and natural landscape according to the city geographical features, therefore makes the urban road landscape design to be more cultural and representative.
