Determination of Optimal Production Number by Considering the Use of Raw Materials Using Goal Programming Approach

The company produces PVC pipes in Medan city is experiencing problems in the form of a higher number of requests compared to the production number. This is because the company does not have a good production plan which is the results in not meeting consumer demand. For this reason, a good and integrated production planning is needed by using the goal programming method. Production planning carried out with goal programming aims to maximize company profits. The results shows that by using the goal programming method, the optimal production number was obtained at each type of 2-inch ECO JIS D pipe products of 42851 units, 3-inch ECO JIS D pipe products of 54445 units and 4 inches of ECO JIS D pipe products 24480 units. In addition, by using this method the company profits about Rp. 446,620,100 is greater than the actual method applied by the company.

Perencanaan produksi merupakan hal yang sangat penting bagi perusahaan, karena dalam proses perencanaan ini akan menentukan jumlah produk yang akan di produksi. Dalam penelitian ini, permasalahan yang terjadi disebabkan karena perusahaan tidak memprediksi fluktuasi permintaan dengan tepat sehingga banyak produk yang dihasilkan mengalami penumpukan.Penumpukan yang terjadi merupakan kerugian karena penggunaan bahan baku yang berlebihan untuk produk yang tidakterjual. Oleh karena itu, pengelolaan bahan baku harus dilakukan dengan tepat. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan untuk memprediksi permintaan adalah Winter dan goal programming untuk optimasi bahan baku. Metode Goal programming digunakan karena terdapat lebih dari satu fungsi tujuan dalam permasalahan.Penggunaan metode winter ini menghasilkan jumlah permintaan dengan tingkat akurasi 90% dari roti bandung 4.040 pcs, roti meises 4.149 pcs, roti tawar kupas 3.315 pcs, roti selai 4.095 pcs. Hasil yang diproleh diharapkan mampu memprediksi permintaan secara tepat sehingga penggunaan bahan baku dapat dioptimalkan menggunakan goal programming.   Production planning is a very important key for a company, because production planner will decide the amount of products that will be produced.In this study,the problem occurred is that the company did not predict the exact demand fluctuation therefore there are many amount of products cumulated.This cumulation is also because the used of excessive raw materials for unsold products. Therefore the exact raw material management should be applied.In this study,the method that used to predicting the demand is Winter and Goal programming for the raw material optimization.Goal Programming method is used because there are more than one(fungsi tujuan)in one case.The result of Winter method is the amount of demand with 90% level of accuracy from roti bandung is 4040 pcs,roti meises is 4149 pcs,roti tawar kupas is 3315 pcs,and roti selai is 4095 pcs.The results is expected can be predicted the exact demand therefore the used of raw materials could be optimized using goal programming method.

One of the home industry in Bali that produces beauty products is UD Citra Ayu Bali. This company has five types of body scrub scent, where the five types of body scrub has a different number of requests. UD Citra Ayu Bali has been doing production activities only when there is demand, so the production process is still less than optimal because it is still done randomly or unplanned. Therefore, this research is done to make production planning body scrub UD Citra Ayu Bali by determining the prediction of the number of products that must be produced every week so that the production process becomes optimal. By using the integer preemptive goal programming method, the optimal production number of the five types scrubs for 12 consecutive weeks is 212 pieces, 548 pieces, 328 pieces, 474 pieces, 506 pieces, 455 pieces, 103 pieces, 381 pieces, 63 pieces, 547 pieces, 59 pieces, and 454 pieces.

The production planning system can provide satisfaction to the manufacture with the desire target and also with the available raw materials. In achieving the target of goals also face a situation of uncertainty (fuzzy). The aims of this study is proposed the model of fuzzy goal programming approach to optimize production planning system. In this model obtaining maximizing profit and revenue with consider minimize costs of labor cost, raw materials cost, time machine production, and also inventory cost. The numerical example is illustrate that the fuzzy goal programming model can optimize optimize production and profit according desired of decision maker.

Combined with the research of mass customization and cloud manufacturing mode, this paper discussed the production planning of mass customization enterprises in the context of cloud manufacturing in detail, analyzed the attribute index of manufacturing resource combination, and given a system considering the characteristics of batch production in mass customization and the decentralization of manufacturing resources in cloud manufacturing environment. Then, a multiobjective optimization model has been constructed according to the product delivery date, product cost, and product quality that customers care most about. The Pareto solution set of production plan has been obtained by using NSGA-II algorithm. This paper established a six-tier attribute index system evaluation model for the optimization of production planning scheme set of mass customization enterprises in cloud manufacturing environment. The weight coefficients of attribute indexes were calculated by combining subjective and objective weights with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and entropy weight method. Finally, the combined weights calculated were applied to the improved TOPSIS method, and the optimal production planning scheme has been obtained by ranking. This paper validated the effectiveness and feasibility of the multiobjective model and NSGA-II algorithm by the example of company A. The Pareto effective solution has been obtained by solving the model. Then the production plan set has been sorted synthetically according to the comprehensive evaluation model, and the optimal production plan has been obtained.

<p>CV. Baja Utama Landasan Ulin is a business entity that manufactures various products using the basic ingredients of iron. In the management of raw materials for the production of common regulatory process raw materials into sections for further processing. This setting is often done manually without doing careful planning, so that at the end of each production process there are many remaining pieces of the raw materials that should be used in production. In addition to the determination of the production is necessary to reference how the product should be made for each type of existing products. This is often an important factor that pushed for the optimization of production planning in determining the number of products for each type of product and raw material consumption.Linear Programming is one of the methods used in production planning to regulate the use of raw materials is limited. Simplex method is part of the linear programming method that can be used in the production planning system implementation. Simplex method identifies an initial basic solution and then move systematically to other basic solution that has the potential to improve the value of the objective function.The calculation result of production planning using the simplex method can be used as a reference in the decision making production planning. By building an application using the simplex method can assist in the calculation of production peencanaan more efficiently and effectively. Accuracy testing system constructed show significant results with great value reached 94% level of accuracy.<br />Keywords: simplex, production planning, the maximum gain, linear programming</p>
