Distemonanthus benthamianus est une plante utilisée en médecine traditionnelle dans certains pays Africains tels que : la Côte d’Ivoire, le Ghana, le Cameroun etc. Plusieurs études ont été réalisées relatives à son effet sur les activités antioxydante, antitumorale, antituberculeuse, bactéricide, antivirale. L’objectif de ce travail a été d’évaluer in vivo l’activité anti-inflammatoire de l’extrait total aqueux des écorces de cette plante. Pour atteindre cet objectif, le screening phytochimique a été réalisé afin de déterminer les métabolites secondaires présentent dans l’extrait de la plante. L’activité antiinflammatoire a été évalué par l’ingestion de la carragénine 1% au niveau l’aponévrose plantaire des rats Wistars. Le screening phytochimique a révélé la présence de tanins, polyphénols, flavonoïdes, saponosides, de triterpènes et d’alcaloïdes Les résultats de l’activité anti-inflammatoire ont montré que le diclofénac et l’extrait aqueux de la plante ont atteint leur activité maximale d’inhibition de l’œdème à la 3ème heure avec une inhibition de 52.88 %, et 44.95%, 60.03% et 70.19 aux doses de 200, 400 et 800mg/kg/pc respectivement. Quant à la prednisone, il a atteint son activité maximale de 26.66% à la 4ème heure. L’inhibition de l’œdème des pattes des rats par l’extrait de la plante montre ainsi les propriétés anti-inflammatoires de cet extrait. L’utilisation de cette plante comme un anti-inflammatoire en milieu naturel serait donc justifiée.

Objectif : Cette étude a pour objectif d’évaluer la réduction de l’infection à Pseudomonas aeruginosa par les bactériophages en aquaculture Méthodologie et résultats : Le phage (PaBor1a) de la bio-collection des phages de l’Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire et la souche Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA001-2018) multi-résistante isolée des poissons piscicoles ont été utilisés pour cette étude. D’une part dans les conditions in vitro, 100 µl d’une solution de phage (108 UFP) et de PA001-2018 ont été mis en culture dans 5 ml de bouillon Luria Bethani pendant 24 h. D’autre part dans les conditions in vivo, un aquarium de 5 L d’eau contenant 6 poissons (Oreochromis niloticus) a été inoculé avec 100 µl de PA001-2018 et du phage PaBor1a pendant 24 h. En présence du phage, la charge bactérienne a été réduite après 2-4 h dans les tests in vitro et in vivo. La décroissance de la population bactérienne et la croissance de celle du phage ont été parallèlement observée. Ce résultat démontre l’efficacité du phage PaBor1a dans le contrôle de la bactérie PA001- 2018 multi-résistante. Conclusion et applications des résultats: La réduction de la charge bactérienne montre le bio contrôle de l’infection à Pseudomonas aeruginosa par le phage PaBor1a. The negative tests were conducted without phage PaBor1a under the same conditions. The results shows that the presence of the phage, the bacterial load was reduced after 2- 4 h in both tests. Bacterial decay and phage growth were observed in parallel. This result demonstrates the efficacy of phage PaBor1a against the multidrug resistant PA001- 2018 bacteria in aquarium tank. Conclusion and applications of results: reduction of bacterial load show the bio control of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection by phage PaBor1a. Les données recueillies lors des études menées par certains chercheurs ont donné des prévalences élevées à l’infestation des strongles dans certaines régions de la Côte d’Ivoire, laissant soupçonner une diminution de l’efficacité des anthelminthiques dans les élevages ovins. Nous avons supposé que les moyens de lutte contre les strongles deviennent moins efficaces. C’est donc pour confirmer cette baisse de l’efficacité des traitements anthelminthiques, en déterminer les causes et proposer des solutions pour enrayer ce phénomène que cette étude a été réalisée. Elle s’est déroulée dans 12 élevages répartis dans 8 localités du centre de la Cote d’Ivoire. Elle visait à évaluer par des tests in vivo de réduction de l’excrétion fécale des oeufs (FECRT), la sensibilité des strongles gastro intestinaux aux anthelminthiques usuels, afin de vérifier l’apparition de cas de résistance. La molécule la plus utilisée était l’Albendazole, suivie du Lévamisole, puis de l’Ivermectine. L’Ivermectine a été testée dans un seul élevage, le Lévamisole dans 4 élevages et l’Albendazole dans 10 élevages. Les analyses coprologiques ont permis l’identification d’oeufs de strongles, de Trichuris sp, de Strongyloides sp, de Moniezia sp et d’ookystes du genre Eimeria. Avec l’Ivermectine, le taux de réduction de l’excrétion fécale (FECR) des oeufs de strongles a été de 100% dans le seul élevage où il a été testé. Avec le Lévamisole, le FECR a été de 100% dans 2 élevages et il était compris entre 92 et 99% dans les 2 autres élevages. Avec l’Albendazole, le FECR a été de 100% dans 7 élevages ; il était compris entre 94 et 99% dans 2 élevages, et entre 70 et 96% dans un élevage. Des autopsies ont permis d’identifier les espèces de strongles ; il s’agissait d’Haemonchus sp, Trichostrongylus sp, Cooperia sp et Oesophagostomum sp. Les animaux autopsiés provenant des élevages où le FECR était inférieur à 100%, hébergeaient un nombre de vers plus important que les animaux des autres élevages. Ce travail a permis de démontrer que la résistance aux anthelminthiques ne s’est pas encore installée dans les élevages ovins au centre de la Côte d’Ivoire. Un tel travail doit être étendu à l’échelle national avec des tests in vitro, afin de mieux cerner l’état des lieux, et par la même occasion sensibiliser l’ensemble des éleveurs sur les différentes pratiques à adopter afin de retarder voire empêcher la mise en place de la résistance dans nos différentes fermes en Côte d’Ivoire. English Title: Efficacy of common anthelmintics against digestive strongles in sheep in central of Côte d’IvoireThe data collected during the studies carried out by some researchers gave high prevalence to the infestation of strongles in certain regions of Côte d'Ivoire, suggesting a decrease in the efficacy of anthelmintics in sheep farming. We have assumed that the means of combating strongles become less effective. This study was therefore carried out to confirm this drop in the effectiveness of anthelmintic treatments, to determine the causes and to propose solutions to curb this phenomenon. It took place in 12 farms spread over 8 localities in the center of Côte d’Ivoire. It aimed to evaluate, by in vivo tests for the reduction of faecal excretion of eggs (FECRT), the sensitivity of gastrointestinal strongyles to the usual anthelmintics, in order to check the appearance of cases of resistance. The most used molecule was Albendazole, followed by Levamisole and then Ivermectin. Ivermectinwas tested in a single farm, Levamisole in 4 farms and Albendazole in 10 farms. Coprology analyzes identified eggs of strongyles, Trichuris sp, Strongyloides sp, Moniezia sp and Oookies of the genus Eimeria. With Ivermectin, the rate of fecal excretion reduction (FECR) of strongle eggs was 100% in the one farm where it was tested. With Levamisole, the FECR was 100% in 2 farms and it was between 92 and 99% in the 2 other farms. With Albendazole, the FECR was 100% in 7 farms; it was between 94 and 99% in 2 farms, and between 70 and 96% in a farm. Autopsies identified species of strongyles; these were Haemonchus sp, Trichostrongylus sp, Cooperia sp and Oesophagostomum sp. Autopsied animals from farms where the  FECR was less than 100% harbored a larger number of worms than animals from other farms. This work has made it possible to demonstrate that resistance to anthelmintics has not yet taken hold in sheep farming in the center of Côte d'Ivoire. Such work must be extended to the national level with in vitro tests, in order to better understand the inventory, and at the same time make all the breeders aware of the different practices to adopt in order to delay or even prevent the resistance set up in our different farms in Ivory Coast.Keywords: Efficacy, anthelmintics, digestive strongles, sheep, Côte d'Ivoire.

Aims: Evaluate the in vivo activity of minerals from two plants on hematological parameters. Place and Duration of Study: Department of Biochemistry-Microbiology and at the laboratory of Daloa Hospital (Côte d'Ivoire), between December 2019 and April 2020. Methodology: During this study, twenty-seven rabbits, seventeen males and ten females were used. For its realization, two portions were carried out (experimental and control). The experimental portion consisted of seven batches of three rabbits (two males and one female), while the control portion consisted of two batches of three males and three females for each batch. Each rabbit of the two portions was collected separately in a purple tube (EDTA) with the only difference that for the experimental portion, a given rabbit was first scarified and then a previously prepared precise potion (P) was separately applied to the scarified area of the rabbit and blood was collected from day 4 onwards for analysis of hematological parameters. Results: This study reveals that: P1 (ashes of Mucuna pruriens, Millettia pinnata and viper skull) and P3 (ashes of Millettia pinnata) have a stimulating activity on hematopoiesis. P1, P3, P4 (ashes of viper skull), P6 (ashes of viper skull and Mucuna pruriens) and P7 (ashes of viper skull and Millettia pinnata) have a stimulating action on the synthesis of hemoglobin. P1, P2, P3, P5 (ashes of Mucuna pruriens and Millettia pinnata), P6 and P7 induce hyperlymphocytosis in some animals; whereas P1, P3 and P6 promote hyperleukocytosis in each female of lots 3; 5 and 8. P2 (Mucuna pruriens ash), P3, P5, P6 and P7 induce thrombocytosis in females of the various lots; while P1, P2, P4, P6 and P7 promote thrombocytopenia in some animals. Conclusion: Minerals from the two plants have different effects on rabbit hematological parameters.

Although pastures in central (Affouvansou) Côte d'Ivoire are abundant, signs of undernutrition are observed in the animals towards the end of wintering, possibly due to insufficient quality pastures, poor grass quality, or poor herd distribution. Using the in-vivo digestibility method, bromatological monitoring of the fodder from these pastures was carried out according to the development age of the regrowth using Djallonke sheep. The objective is to help in the judicious use of these pastures. At regrowth age intervals between the 4th and 8th week, the nitrogen content in the grass decreases, the energy value increases at 6 weeks, and decreases slightly to remain at a correct value in the following weeks. Due to its nitrogen value, this pasture can be classified as a more or less poor quality savannah fodder. However, the savannah studied is of excellent quality from an energy point of view at 5 - 6 weeks of regrowth age. Depending on the nitrogen value, the forage can be said to be of average quality from the 5th to the 7th week. Beyond 8 weeks, the forage is of poor quality. The nitrogen content is therefore a limiting factor here. It cannot meet the maintenance needs of the UBT. It, makes sense to use the pastures in the center of the country between the 6th and 7th week of regrowth to get the most out of it.
