Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has a special and specific importance for the Republic of Kosovo taking into account the conditions and economic development, which in turn impact the economic development and social improvement of the country. For the state to have a greater absorption of FDI, significant improvement should be made in improving the management capacity in order to create a motivating environment for foreign investment, which is related to the improvement of macro-factors and microfactors at the country level in order to make the environment as attractive as possible for FDI. The purpose of this paper is to present the trend of FDI, the trend of export with a keen eye on Kosovo and to present the correlation of FDI with export. Firstly, at the beginning of this paper, a theoretical review of the literature on definitions of FDI in economic terms and definitions of export is presented. Secondly, the trend and comparison of FDI and exports over the years is presented. Thirdly, FDI trends in Kosovo were analyzed by the country of origin of these investments, etc. Fourthly, in the context of this paper, an analysis in terms of investment management at the country level in order to create an attractive investment environment was made. Fifthly, as part of this paper, empirical analyzes showing the correlations between FDI and Export in the Kosovo case have been made. FDI trends in Kosovo have been decreasing over the years, which must be improved by creating a motivating environment for both domestic and foreign investors.

This article takes stock of the aspects of higher education provision invested in the fight against the phenomenon of dropping out of university. These aspects are exposed from a review of the literature on higher education reforms in Morocco since 1999. Chronologically, they are reviewed in the National Charter for Education and Training 1999, in the Plan of Emergency 2009-2012, in the Action Plan 2013-2016, and finally, in the Strategic Vision of the Reform 2015-2030. It is concluded that despite the efforts made in quantitative retention étudiantsà university until graduation, progress still to make qualitatively.

The socio-ecological systems (SESs) framework provides cross-disciplinary insight into complex environmental problems. Numerous studies have applied the SES framework to coastal and marine environments over the last two decades. We review and analyze 98 of those studies to (i) describe how SES concepts were examined and measured, (ii) describe how the studies included feedbacks and thresholds, and (iii) identify and analyze elements unique to coastal and marine SES frameworks. We find that progress has been made in understanding key SES properties in coastal and marine ecosystems, which include resilience, adaptive capacity, vulnerability, and governance. A variety of methods has been developed and applied to analyze these features qualitatively and quantitatively. We also find that recent studies have incorporated land-based stressors in their analyses of coastal issues related to nutrient runoff, bacterial pollution, and management of anadromous species to represent explicit links in land-to-sea continuums. However, the literature has yet to identify methods and data that can be used to provide causal evidence of non-linearities and thresholds within SES. In addition, our findings suggest that greater alignment and consistency are needed in models with regard to metrics and spatial boundaries between ecological and social systems to take full advantage of the SES framework and improve coastal and marine management.

Aim: systematic review of the literature on the cost-effectiveness of telemedicine in the follow-up of asthmatics. Method: Systematic review of the PUBMED / MEDLINE, LILACS and Cochrane Central databases. Articles published in English, Portuguese or Spanish were considered in the period from 2005 to 2018 according to the PRISMA guidelines. Results: A total of 1363 articles were identified, of which 59 were read in their entirety. Only five met the eligibility criteria, and all were made in European countries and totaled 2,497 participants. The interventions were performed by nurses (4 of 5 studies), remaining from 16 weeks to 12 months. Telemedicine costs were similar or slightly lower compared to usual treatments. Telemedicine had a beneficial effect on asthma control (1 of 5 studies), quality of life (3 out of 5 studies) and hospitalizations (1 of 5 studies). Conclusion: Telemedicine slightly reduces costs with asthma management and may have an impact on morbidity indicators

ABSTRACT Objective: Non-amnestic dysexecutive Vascular Mild Cognitive Impairment (VaMCI) may represent preclinical Vascular Dementia (VaD). The aim of this study was to summarize the clinical, neuropsychological and neuroimaging aspects of VaMCI; and to assess its patterns of progression to dementia. Methods: Searches were made in the ISI Web of Knowledge, PubMed and Lilacs databases, using the terms "mild cognitive impairment" and "executive function". Altogether, 944 articles were retrieved. Results: VaMCI cases had poorer performances on fronto-executive tasks, a higher prevalence of stroke, presence of periventricular and profound white matter hyperintensities on MRI images, as well as more extrapyramidal signs and behavioral symptoms. Executive dysfunction might be associated with disconnection of fronto-parietal-subcortical circuits. Progression to dementia was associated with baseline deficits in executive function, in simple sustained attention and language, and large periventricular WMH. Discussion: VaMCI develops with impairment in non-memory domains and subcortical white matter changes on MRI images, which are consistent with clinical and neuroimaging findings in VaD.

AbstractThe behavior of ten species of strombid gastropods (Strombus and Lambis spp.) was studied in the Marshall, Hawaiian and Line Islands. Measurements were made in both the laboratory and the field of the MAP's comprising feeding, locomotion, righting of overturned shells, and escape from predators, which reflect significant ecological and morphological determinents of behavior in the Strombacea. All species feed by grazing with the proboscis under the protection of the shell. All Strombids use the MAP Leap during locomotion. The rate of locomotion varies as a hyperbolic function of length; increasing with greater size in the genus Strombus and decreasing in the genus Lambis. Larger animals travel a greater distance with each leap but make fewer leaps/minute. Species of Strombus right their overturned shells by a Kick at the substratum with the operculum, but species of Lambis use the MAP Pull and turn the animal over with the operculum wedged under the shell. Only one attempt is needed in the species of Lambis, but more are used by the faster moving species of Strombus. Intention movements are performed during righting. Species of both genera escape from molluscivorous cones using the MAP's Tentacle Wave, Flip and Run. In the species of Strombus, Flip causes a backward movement of the shell off the substratum, but in species of Lambis the shell restricts the movements and the animal merely turns to one side. Escape locomotion is much faster than normal locomotion, due to the greater distances travelled with each flip by the smaller species of Strombus and the greater number of leaps/minute made by all species. The flip escape response appears particularly adapted for escape from dart-shooting predators. A review of the literature on strombid behavior shows that the behavior of all species within the Strombacea is remarkably similar even though there is great disparity in shell shapes. Because of similarities in soft body parts and behavior, the Xenophoridae should be retained within the Strombacea. It is suggested that the species within the Strombacea evolved in parallel from a common aporrhaid-like stock and the behavior has diverged less than shell form and is therefore a more conservative character in the group's phylogeny than is shell shape. The behavior of a snail can be greatly modified by its shell. Differences in behavior between Strombus and Lambis are attributed to restrictions imposed by the shell and not differences in body movements. Behavior must be adapted to the shell shape and both, of course, reflect the animal's ecological setting.

Objetives: To report a case of dorsolumbosacral agenesis and to make a systematic review of the literature focused on prenatal diagnosis. Materials and methods: We report a case of a 32year old pregnant woman, with a 30 week pregnanacy, without prenatal care, the fetus is diagnosed with dorsolumbosacral agenesis. The mother request voluntary termination of pregnancy. A systematic review of the literature focused on prenatal diagnosis of thos condiction is performed. Results: We found 50 papers, 6 met the inclusión critiria. Three of them with prenatal diagnosis. In the first case the diagnosis was made at 13 weeks of gestation and termination of preganancy was requested. In the second case corresponded an biamniotic bicorial twin preganancy. One normal feto and one presented dorsolumbosacral agenesis. The diagnosis was made in the second trimester. The pregnancy continued until 34 week of gestation and the affected neonate had perinatal death. The third case, the diagnosis was made at 18 weeks and a male newborn of 2990gr was born at 37 weeks of gestation. Conclusion: Dorsolumbosacral agenesis is a very severe form of caudal regresión syndrome, with only a few cases reportted in the literature. To the best of our knowladge this is the fourth case reported with prenatal diagnosis.

BACKGROUND: Concomitant thymoma and T- lymphoblastic/leukaemia lymphoma is possible. Secondary thymoma after treatment for T-lymphoblastic/leukaemia lymphoma was also occasionally reported, although this is quite rare. CASE REPORT: We report a case of 44-year-old women with secondary thymoma after chemotherapy treatment for T Acute Lymphoblastic leukaemia/lymphoma. Diagnosis of lymphoblastic/leukaemia lymphoma was made in 2015 by morphological and histological study. The patient underwent Moroccan protocol for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (MARALL) from 2015 to 2017 and achieved complete remission. One year later, the patient developed an anterior mediastinal mass, relapse was suspected, but the surgical biopsy was performed and histological, the mass showed thymoma. CONCLUSION: At the time of diagnosis of thymoma for a patient treated for T-lymphoblastic/leukaemia lymphoma it is necessary to eliminate a relapse because the distinction between thymoma and T-lymphoblastic/leukaemia lymphoma is sometimes difficult, and the association is possible.
