The study refers to the main concepts of internet culture and its application in the communication process, and also to the communicative aspects of the information age human. In the context of the impetuous development of electronic communication means the idea of cultural identity has been foregrounded. Virtual culture that encompasses a new dynamic knowledge space provided data for the study. The dual nature of the cyberspace is revealed, which, on one hand, has enormous potential to facilitate communication, transcend spatial boundaries, promote free expression, but on the other hand all these positive sides can also be viewed as its weaknesses. Internet has created numerous problems that appear to increase as the technology advances. The study revealed, that virtual culture area includes identity construction via the Internet, new social forms on the Internet and new media creations. The research focuses on the critical reflection of the new communicative culture type — virtual culture — as a new social phenomenon and on definition of its features, double-natured potential capacities. The conclusionsare intended to highlight the fact that the Internet has definitely 0improved our life and his influence on society continues to grow. And if we accept this assumption, then the virtual culture will have the advantage of an evolutionary breakthrough that will ensure mankind to overcome complicated problems.

AbstractAn improved understanding of in vivo-to-in vitro hepatocyte changes is crucial to interpreting in vitro data correctly and further improving hepatocyte-based in vitro-to-in vivo extrapolations to human targets. We demonstrate using virtual experiments as a means to help untangle plausible causes of inaccurate extrapolations. We start with virtual mice that have biomimetic software livers. Earlier, using those mice, we discovered model mechanisms that enabled achieving quantitative validation targets while also providing plausible causal explanations for temporal characteristics of acetaminophen hepatotoxicity. We isolated virtual hepatocytes, created a virtual culture, and then conducted dose-response experiments in both culture and mice. We expected the two dose-response curves to be displaced. We were surprised that they crossed because it evidenced that simulated acetaminophen metabolism and toxicity are different for virtual culture and mouse contexts even though individual hepatocyte mechanisms were unchanged. Crossing dose-response curves is a virtual example of an in vivo-to-in vitro disconnect. We use detailed results of experiments to explain the disconnect. Individual hepatocytes contribute differently to system level phenomena. In liver, hepatocytes are exposed to acetaminophen sequentially. Relative production of the reactive acetaminophen metabolite is largest (smallest) in pericentral (periportal) hepatocytes. Because that sequential exposure is absent in culture, hepatocytes from different lobular locations do not respond the same. A virtual Culture-to-Mouse translation can stand as a scientifically challengeable theory explaining an in vitro-in vivo disconnect. It provides a framework to develop more reliable interpretations of in vitro observations, which then may be used to improve extrapolations.AbbreviationsaHPCanalog hepatocyteAPAPacetaminophenCVCentral VeinSSsinusoidal segmentNAPQIN-acetyl-p-benzoquinone iminemitoDmitochondrial damage productsnonMDnon-mitochondrial damage products

ABSTRACT Objective: To understand the repercussions of COVID-19 on the path of pregnancy. Method: Qualitative, participatory action research (PAR) study, based on Paulo Freire's Research Itinerary. A virtual culture circle was held in October 2020, with the participation of 12 pregnant women, living in the South and Southeast regions of Brazil. Results: In the virtual culture circle, pregnant women talked and critically reflected on two generating themes: flowers and thorns in the course of pregnancy. They meant living in the virtual culture circle as spaces for sharing experiences, welcoming and learning, among others. Conclusions: For the participants, pregnancy during the pandemic brought difficulties such as social isolation, absence from work and the university, fears, anxieties, loneliness and insecurities. However, it also improved health care, intensifying self-care and investment in family relationships.

Visual culture in virtual worlds is not purely authentic or purely imaginative. When culture emerges in a visualized virtual world, where everything that can be seen is created by its users, visual culture can be diverse and complex. Users from different cultural backgrounds perceive and construct meanings that may be different from those intended by the virtual world creators and other users. The author used observation, survey, and interview as her research methodologies to analyze visual culture in a visualized virtual world where the content is created by its users.

Objective: To understand the repercussions of Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19) from the perspective of schoolchildren. Materials and method: A qualitative study, of the participant action type, based on Paulo Freire’s theoretical and methodological precepts. The participants were 10 children living in the coastal area of Santa Catarina, Brazil, from a virtual culture circle held in July 2020. An analogy was made with the colored pencil to go through the stages of the research itinerary. Results: Two generative themes emerged for discussion: the good things of the COVID-19 pandemic and the “cannots” of the pandemic. In the first theme, they highlighted more time with the family and strengthening family ties, proximity to pets, and self-care. In the second, they pointed out the impossibility of playing with friends, celebrating birthdays and hugging people. Conclusions: The children identified positive and negative points experienced during the pandemic and unveiled the challenges of transforming moments of social isolation into spaces of family proximity, although restricted to their homes.

The article is devoted to the role of monographs in university humanisties and social sciences. The various contexts of the main problem are analysed with the special attention to the academic promotion and the „writing as a thinking” thesis. At the end the pedagogical role of the bookas a source of linea thinking is considered.against the backgroung of the growing dominance of virtual culture.
