The appropriation of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the processes of teaching and learning is one of the main challenges of educational institutions and teachers in the current society of knowledge, as responsible for a use Rational and meaningful use of its digital educational resources (RED). This involves developing competencies in the implementation of ICT in the classroom to enrich the learning environments. This article presents a reflection on the instructional guide as a didactic tool in the elaboration of RED that facilitates the design of these resources to support the activities of the classroom in these processes. This reflection is the result of a research on the subject carried out in a context of university teaching

Teaching and learning in the 21st century should be markedly different from earlier times through the design of new teaching and learning environments. Through the presentation of three models of technology-rich learning environments (teacherdirected, learner-centered and mediated), this chapter provides a case study of the design and delivery of a course called Learning with Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) guided by a mediated learner approach, using new approaches to using ICTs and assessment for learning as key course design drivers. That course aims to prepare future teachers who demonstrate strong theoretical and practical understanding of designing and creating effective ICT teaching and learning experiences, and are confident and proficient users of ICTs. We provide an analysis of the implementation of that course through the presentation of the learning stories and reflections of students. Specific discussion is provided about the conceptualization and implementation of an e-portfolio approach to promote deep learning.

Despite the research and investment of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in schools, many teachers still use it as a neutral tool; that is, a tool that can be used to carry out the same teaching and learning activities as have been undertaken previously with non-ICT tools. This paper adopts activity theory as a conceptual framework to describe and analyse how the objectives of two economics courses are shaped by their participants and learning environments, and in turn, how these shared objectives affect the way ICT is used in these courses. The paper goes on to suggest that the object of the activity systems poses a major barrier to the creative use of ICT in schools.

The study aimed to map the critical success factors for the adoption of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the educational process of educational institutions. Problems related to the adoption of ICT in the educational system stem from the need to adapt to the use of new technologies in the internal processes of institutions and in teaching and learning processes, common to different profiles of educational institutions including of engineering courses with them specificities. To meet the objective, a review of the existing bibliography in the Scopus database was carried out to highlight articles relevant to the topic. Based on the review, 31 articles identified the main factors and effects that influence and impact the process of implementation and continued use of ICTs. The survey generated a broader view of the challenges faced in different dimensions, from SWOT framework, involving different stakeholders. It is suggested in future studies to engineering analyze deeper the complex scenario that involves the theme.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the movement towards visualization in e-learning. The study methods include a survey and a theoretical modeling method. The study focuses on analyzing data from the 2020 public opinion survey “School graduates and students expressed their opinion on distance education” by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) and develops a four-tier framework model for e-learning content visualization that integrates four theories of learning, namely behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, and activism. The results indicate that visualization in e-learning as a trend is strongly associated with global information and communication technologies (ICTs) development. The survey by VCIOM found that 38% of surveyed students in Russia viewed their educational institutions as averagely equipped for online distance learning, 22% - well-equipped, 26% - rather well-equipped, 12% - rather poorly equipped, and 7% - poorly equipped. This study offers content visualization framework that will make it possible to organize the teaching and learning process.

To date, hundreds of advanced teaching methods have been developed, such as game methods, problem-based learning methods, and information and communication technologies are widely used in education. Most of these technologies are based on the principles of student-centred and participatory learning. These interactive methods allow the learner to master the necessary professional knowledge, skills and competencies under the managerial guidance of a teacher. In this article, the author would like to share her experience of using one of such techniques - graphic organizers - in teaching the subject of computer science and information technologies. The graphic organizers as supportive tools for teaching and learning, their use and types are described. Examples of graphic organizers for learning IT and Information security, drawn using IT, are given.

The students of 21st century have very high learning expectations. Concept of teaching and learning has changed tremendously due to globalization and explosion of knowledge. New tools of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) may contribute considerably towards all phases of educational process including the area of teacher education. The need for teacher training is widely acknowledged in the light of this development. The aim of this study was to assess students' perceptions of the learning environments of technology supported teacher education classrooms in relation to three variables, i.e., previous qualification, gender and teaching subjects. A sample of 317 students from six classes was taken. The tool used for the study was the modified form of Technology–Rich Outcomes-Focused Learning Environment Inventory (TROFLEI). In these classrooms, different information and communication technology tools like laptops, computers, and multimedia projectors, interactive boards etc. are regularly used to communicate, disseminate, store, and manage curriculum information for the benefit of the students. Results of the study strongly support the reliability and validity of the questionnaire in these classroom settings. The results show that the students perceive their technology-supported learning environment in a positive manner. Results on investigation of previous qualification, gender differences and teaching subjects suggest that there exist some differences in technology-supported learning environments as measured by the TROFLEI.

Information and communication technologies play a key role in public relations applications in creating an effective communication between institutions and target audiences and student support services of distance education institutions. The necessity of making use of new communication technologies by educational institutions is because they obtain and spread information. While distance education provides students an opportunity of independent and individual study, it also should make teaching and learning process easier and more interesting for students. The aim of this study is to propose a model for open and distance education universities in using public relations process in setting up websites. It can be put forward if the public relations process is applied in public relations applications carried out on the Web.

Today, one can already think of a new way of doing education linked to various possibilities that involves the use of digital information and communication technologies in a school environment. To reflect on this practice, this work presents a hybrid learning format that involves both teacher and student in different environments around a digital resource called the Edpuzzle platform that comes to provide everyone involved with a different way of learning, which in this particular case is learning mathematics. This work approach was developed to bring viability to what is proposed in the classroom in order to provide learning and favor a new evaluative format. Consequently, the students affirm that this proposal could contribute to the understanding of the subject, as well as its use can contribute to the evaluation process.

SMK Telkom Bandung is one of the educational institutions under the Telkom Education Foundation called Telkom Schools. As a school that has a mission to implement information system based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for learning media, SMK Telkom Bandung must have an information system that can process student data related to student absences and grades. The management of absence and grade of student is not efficient because in once assesment process still requires a long time, there are a lot of errors in the sum result and data loss. Where these data are used to measure of the progress of student achievement. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a monitoring system for students who can deliver absent report and student grades to parents quickly through SMS Gateway notifications to help monitor the teaching and learning process in schools. This information system was developed using the SDLC prototype and PIECES analysis approach by integrating Gammu SMS Gateway as a notification feature. In the testing phase using black box testing the results show that the system can documentation absent and grades in a structured manner, be able to convey student attendance report information and grades quickly, teachers can present and evaluate attendance report and reports and grades accurately, as well as with the SMS Gateway notification parents can help monitor the teaching and learning process at school.
