Purpose Job satisfaction and leadership behavior are recognized by the organizational world as fundamental elements that influence the overall effectiveness of a company. However, as the first step for an adequate intervention on any of these variables, it is the evaluation. The purpose of this paper is to develop and validate two brief measures on job satisfaction and leadership behavior. Design/methodology/approach The sample was made up of 246 workers located in Bogota, Colombia. The study was an instrumental research. To collect validity evidence, the internal structure and the relationship with other variables were used. For the evaluation of equity, the differential item functioning was analyzed according to the sex of the participants. Reliability was estimated through the ordinal omega coefficient. Findings Both brief measures presented a unifactorial structure, where job satisfaction was measured by five items and leadership behavior by four items. On the other hand, only one item of leadership behavior showed differential item functioning; however, its magnitude was trivial. Also, convergent and discriminant evidence was provided for both measures, and the reliability levels were adequate. Originality/value The measures developed represents an effort to briefly measure job satisfaction and leadership behavior. Likewise, it constitutes two of the few instruments to measure job satisfaction and leadership behavior in Latin American, representing a good alternative for the measurement of the referred constructs in an organizational context.

Beban kerja perawat adalah seluruh kegiatan atau aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh perawat selama tugas disuatu unit pelayanan keperawatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan beban kerja dengan kepuasan kerja perawat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif korelasi yang bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan beban kerja dengan kepuasan kerja perawat. Populasi penelitian ini adalah perawat pelaksana yang berjumlah 60 orang, dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner untuk beban kerja dan kepuasan kerja perawat. Analisa hubungan variabel yang digunakan menggunakan  Chi Square. Hasil Penelitian tentang hubungan beban kerja dengan kepuasan kerja perawat menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja perawat dengan frekuensi terbanyak adalah kategori beban berat (96,7%). Kepuasan kerja perawat dengan frekuensi terbanyak adalah kategori puas (81,7%). Analisa Bivariat menunjukkan ada hubungan beban kerja dengan kepuasan kerja perawat (p=0,031).Kata Kunci: Beban  kerja, kepuasan kerja, perawat   ABSTRACTNurses work load is all activities or activities undertaken by the nurse during the duty of a unit of nursing service. This study aims to identify the relationship between workload and nurse job satisfaction This research is quantitative research with descriptive correlation design which aims to test the relation of work load with job satisfaction of nurse. The population of this study is nurse implementer which amounts to 60 people, by using total sampling technique. Data collection using interview techniques.  The instruments used in this study are questionnaires for work load and nurse job satisfaction. Analysis of variable relationships used using Chi Square. Results of research on the relationship between workload and nurse job satisfaction showed that the workload of the nurses with the highest frequency was weight category (96.7%). Job satisfaction of nurses  with the highest frequency is satisfied category (81,7%). Bivariate analysis showed that there was a relation between work load and nurse job satisfaction (p = 0,031). Key word: work load, work satisfaction, nurses

 AbstrakLatar belakang: Kepuasaan kerja merupakan suatu keadaan emosional seseorang yang positif atau menyenangkan dari nilai atau pengalaman orang tersebut, hal ini menunjukan bahwa karyawan membentuk sikap terhadap pekerjaan dengan memperhatikan perasaan, kepercayaan dan perilaku mereka sendiri. Kepuasan kerja perawat dibeberapa negara masih rendah, seperti di Cina 54 % dan Shanghai 60,8%, Indonesia 92,96%. Dari fenomena yang ada, menunjukkan kepuasan kerja perawat masih rendah. Kepemimpinan transformasional diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja perawat. Tujuan: Untuk mengidentifikasi perilaku transformasional pemimpin dalam meningkatkan kepuasan kerja perawat. Metode: Artikel ini menggunakan design literatur review yakni peneliti mengulas, merangkum, dan menuliskan pemikiran beberapa pustaka seperti artikel, buku dan undang-undang. Penelusuran artikel melalui PubMed, Scincedirect dan Google Schoolar. Hasil: Pada literatur review ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja perawat, juga berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pelayanan, melalui kepemimpinan kharismatik, inspiratif, menstimulasi intelektual dan pertimbangan yang diindividualkan. Kepemimpinan karismatik yakni perawat manajer mampu menyampaikan visinya dengan jelas untuk meningkatkan mutu pelayanan keperawatan. Kepemimpinan inspiratif yakni pemimpin mampu menyampaikan harapan tinggi berkaitan mutu pelayanan dan menginspirasi perawat lain. Kepemimpinan yang memiliki rangsangan intelektual yakni mampu memotivasi, meningkatkan kemampuan terus menerus, mampu menjadi pelatih bagi stafnya. Pemimpin memiliki pertimbangan yang diindividualkan yakni seperti memberi reward sesuai prestasi individu perawat. Search artikel through PubMed, Scincedirect and Google Schoolar. Results: In the literature review to show right that the leadership of transformational influence positively to the job satisfaction of nurses, also contribute to the improvement of quality of service, through leadership charismatic, inspiratif, stimulate intellectual and considerations are individualized. Leadership charismatic, nurse manager is able to convey his vision with clearly to improve the quality of care nursing. Inspirational leadership, that is, leaders are able to convey high expectations regarding service quality and inspire other nurses. Leadership that has intellectual stimulation that is able to motivate, improve the ability continuously, able to become a trainer for its staff. Leaders have considered that individualized the like to give a reward in accordance accomplishments of individual nurses. The present study examines the link between leadership behavior and instructor's job satisfaction in four purposefully selected colleges and schools of Arba Minch University (AMU). The study participants were 167 randomly selected instructors of sampled colleges and schools. Of these, 149 were male instructors and the remaining18 were female ones. The data for the study were gathered via adapted questionnaire. The study employed quantitative correlational research design to examine the relationship between leadership behavior and instructor's job satisfaction. A Pearson's correlation coefficient (r) value was used to determine the correlation between the independent variable (leadership behavior) and the dependent variable (instructor's job satisfaction) and simple linear regression was employed to predict their relationship. The findings revealed that leadership behavior has statistically significant, positive and strong correlation with instructor's job satisfaction (r=.761, p<.049 two-tailed). The study further indicated that the value of R2 (.580) indicates 58 % of the job satisfaction is explained by leadership behavior. From these findings, it was concluded that there is a positive link between leadership behavior and instructor's job satisfaction. Therefore, it was recommended that through both formal and informal trainings, the university leaders should aware how their leadership behavior is correlated with instructor's job satisfaction and then they should adopt and practice different dimensions of leadership behavior to improve instructor's job satisfaction.

Purpose: This study was designed to understand the relationship between leadership behaviors and employees job satisfaction at microfinance banks. It also shows how and to what extent these leadership styles affect job satisfaction. Design: The questionnaire was used to collect data from 290 employees of the Microfinance Bank. The convenient sampling was used to gather data. The literature indicates that there is a correlation among all proposed variables. Researcher applied regression and Pearson correlation to get the results. Findings: The results show that participative behavior and supportive leadership behaviors have significant and positive effect on employees’ job satisfaction in Micro Finance Institutions of Khairpur.  Value: no doubt this study found that participative behavior has significant relationship with employees’ job satisfaction and in increase the work productivity, it develops the sense of equivalence in work, it also encourages the essence of employees’ role in decision making, in this regard employees like to help organisation in organizational success Practical implications: Results of this Research mean that participatory leaders can participate in role modeling by providing employees with interesting workplace activities to increase job satisfaction. Recommendation: The population used for the survey was limited to 14 branches of MFBs in the Khairpur area.. Therefore, this study can be extended to a variety of other commercial and noncommercial organizations. This helps researchers to fully understand leadership style and its impact on job satisfaction. Limitation: This study is limited to certain MFBs of Khairpur district.
