Στην παρούσα έρευνα εξετάζεται αν η εφαρμογή ενός μετασχηματιστικού μοντέλου μικτής μάθησης στη διδασκαλία του Scratch σε μαθητές Γ’ Γυμνασίου οδηγεί α) σε καλύτερα μαθησιακά αποτελέσματα και β) σε μεγαλύτερη συμμετοχή των μαθητών, λόγω της εξ αποστάσεως εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας, σε σχέση και με τους μαθησιακούς τους τύπους. Τα δομικά στοιχεία του εφαρμοζόμενου μοντέλου ήταν κατανεμημένα σε δέκα άξονες: ανακαλυπτική μάθηση, παιχνιδοκεντρική μάθηση, αυθεντική μάθηση, συνεργατική μάθηση, γνωστική σκαλωσιά, ανατροφοδότηση, αξιολόγηση, πλατφόρμα μάθησης και περιβάλλον προγραμματισμού. Η διδασκαλία του μαθήματος υποστηρίχθηκε από την πλατφόρμα μάθησης Moodle ενώ για την εξαγωγή των αποτελεσμάτων χρησιμοποιήθηκαν το ερωτηματολόγιο «Δείκτης μαθησιακού στυλ» (Index of Learning Styles), ένα ερωτηματολόγιο αποδοχής του μοντέλου μικτής μάθησης, οι εκτιμώμενες ώρες συμμετοχής των μαθητών στηνπλατφόρμα από το σπίτι τους, οι ατομικές επιδόσεις των μαθητών και οι ομαδικές εργασίες τους στο μάθημα. Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι η εξ αποστάσεως συμμετοχή των μαθητών είχε μία δυνατή θετική σχέση, στατιστικά σημαντική, με το βαθμό αποδοχής του μοντέλου μικτής μάθησης και ότι δε σχετιζόταν ούτε με τους μαθησιακούς τύπους των μαθητών ούτε με τις ατομικές τους επιδόσεις. Επίσης η σύγκριση με προηγούμενη έρευνα έδειξε στατιστικά σημαντικά καλύτερα αποτελέσματα τόσο στο δείκτη πολυπλοκότητας των εργασιών όσο και στο πλήθος των δομικών τους στοιχείων. Συμπεραίνεται λοιπόν ότι η εφαρμογή του προτεινόμενου μοντέλου μικτής μάθησης μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε μεγαλύτερη εξ αποστάσεως συμμετοχή των μαθητών στο μάθημα, ότι είναι κατάλληλο για όλους τους μαθησιακούς τύπους των μαθητών και ότι βοηθάει στη δημιουργία καλύτερων εργασιών.

Do librarians with different characteristics, such as type of work responsibilities or age, have different learning styles? The authors analyzed results from over 1,500 responses to a version of the Index of Learning Styles (ILS) questionnaire based on the Felder-Silverman Learning Styles model. This model consists of eight dimensions paired on four scales: Active/Reflective; Sensing/Intuitive; Visual/Verbal; and Sequential/Global. In addition to their scores on the ILS questionnaire, respondents were also asked about demographic and professional characteristics. Statistically significant differences in learning style scores were found to exist between librarians with different types of position responsibilities. In particular, for three out of four scales, catalogers have statistically different learning styles than other librarian groups. Recognition of different learning styles and thoughtful integration of appropriate teaching styles may improve workplace interpersonal communication, enhance professional development and staff training, and strengthen teaching.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to classify students into clusters at class level according to their preferred learning styles by using group technology. Design/methodology/approach The Felder and Silverman index of learning styles is used to determine the preferred learning styles of the students, then similarity-coefficient analysis is used to group students into clusters based on the similarity of their preferences. Findings Using this approach would allow the instructor to use a teaching style suitable for the students in order to achieve the intended learning outcomes. Originality/value This is an original research with promising findings to help educators using this approach to achieve the intended learning outcomes.
