The development of increasingly advanced information technology can provide many benefits for completing work quickly and accurately. One example that requires the delivery of information quickly and accurately is the field of library, this is in accordance with the function of the library which is the heart of education. Most libraries are still many who adhere to a conventional system, of course this will result in disruption of the continuity of the process of managing books in the library. Therefore, the author takes the theme of this study regarding Library Book Management Information Systems Based on Websites by using the waterfall method on software development as well as methods of observation and literature on data collection. This Information System is the best solution for problem solving in managing library books. With the use of managed computer data technology becomes faster, reducing inefficient time and reducing the occurrence of errors in processing data.

Women are under-represented in information technology (IT) professions, globally. It is widely discussed that there is an urgent need to tackle this issue by bringing more women into the IT industry. However, the spotlight is less often put on women currently working as developers in male-dominated environments. How do these women experience their work and deal with problems? International non-profit initiatives such as Women who Code (WwC) aim not only at supporting women in training for and entering IT professions: they also advise them in their daily lives and struggles as developers. Using this network and its blog as a case study, I show that the WwC bloggers are faced with contradictory work norms and experiences. They tend to resort to pragmatic advice, focused on DIY problem solving, and shouldered individual responsibility rather than highlighting systemic failures. This tendency shows similarities to neoliberal feminist rationales and speaks to the need for (re)emphasizing the need for structural changes within the broader discourse concerning women developers.

Recently adopted 21st Century goals stress the importance of preparing students for a globally competitive society by providing them with opportunities to develop skills in global literacy, problem solving, innovation, and creativity. These goals create a challenge for teachers to move beyond traditional beliefs about teaching and learning in order to implement new technologies and teaching strategies in the classroom. This chapter provides a brief overview of the process of blending a new technology into the classroom setting. The process involves selecting the new technology, learning how to use it, and using it in the classroom. As a specific example, this chapter describes how a NSF-funded project, entitled Using Squeak to Infuse Information Technology (USeIT), is helping teachers learn how to use a new virtual modeling technology, Squeak Etoys, and use it in their classrooms. The teachers have learned and used Squeak Etoys in a way that works best for them and their students. They have created models and problem-based learning (PBL) lesson plans correlated with state curriculum standards.

Abstrak— Teknologi informasi hampir tidak dapat dilepaskan dari berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia, dikarenakan kemudahan untuk mengakses informasi adalah salah satu pemanfaatannya. Minimnya pakar tumbuhan dan pengetahuan petani dalam menangani penyakit pada tanaman mentimun menyebabkan kerugian bagi petani khususnya petani mentimun. Selain daripada itu hal ini juga menjadi hambatan bagi para petani mentimun untuk mendiagnosa dan melakukan penanganan yang tepat terhadap penyakit mentimun yang menyerang tanaman yang mereka tanam. Petani kurang paham terhadap jenis penyakit pada tanaman mentimun, sehingga lambatnya proses penanganan pada tanaman mentimun. Dempster-Shafer dikenal adanya Frame of Discrement yang dinotasikan dengan dengan θ. Frame ini merupakan semesta pembicaraan dari sekumpulan hipotesis.Sistem pakar umumnya didefinisikan sebagai sebuah sistem yang dirancang untuk memodelkan kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah seperti layaknya seorang pakar (human expert). Identifikasi masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu kerusakan pada tanaman mentimun akibat sulitnya mengidentifikasi penyakit pada tanaman mentimun. ruang lingkup/batasan masalah dalam penelitian ini Data penyakit yang akan diteliti sebanyak 6 penyakit, data gejala yang akan diteliti sebanyak 12 gejala. Metode yang digunakan dalam mendiagnose penyakit pada tanaman mentimun ialah metode Dempster Shafer. Aplikasi yang digunakan adalah aplikasi Adobe Animate CC. Database yang digunakan adalah SQLite.Kata kunci: Penyakit Timun, Android, Sistem Pakar, Dempster Shafer Abstract— Information technology can hardly be separated from various aspects of human life, because the ease of accessing information is one of its uses. Farmers do not understand the types of diseases in cucumber plants, so the process of handling cucumber plants is slow. Dempster-Shafer is known for its Frame of Discrement which is denoted by θ. This frame is a universe of discussion from a set of hypotheses. An expert system is generally defined as a system designed to model problem-solving abilities like a human expert. Identification of the problem in this study is damage to cucumber plants due to the difficulty of identifying diseases in cucumber plants. the scope / limitation of the problem in this study. The disease data to be studied were 6 diseases, the symptom data to be studied were 12 symptoms. The method used in diagnosing diseases in cucumber plants is the Dempster Shafer method. The collaboration of public health education and information technology has made patient care safer and more reliable than before. Nurses and doctors use handheld computers to record a patient's medical history and check that they are administering the correct treatment. Fortunately Public Health Informatics (PHI) is the intersecting point of technology and public health. Therefore, the inclusion of online medical and epidemiology  databases in the course curriculum of  budding medical professionals and postgraduate students would be beneficial in enhancing the quality of health care,  extensive epidemiological research, health education, health policies, health planning and consumer satisfaction as well. Today's evolving business environment requires that organizations combine the talents of diverse and dispersed individuals to develop creative solutions to complex problems. One such emerging concept used by successful organizations to leverage the diverse talents of dispersed individuals is collective creative problem solving (CCPS) in distributed work teams. The purpose of this study was to develop a better understanding of the nature and motivating factors of CCPS in geographically dispersed teams. This goal was accomplished through examining information technology (IT) distributed work teams in a U.S. federal IT organization. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 21 IT specialists to explore the perceptions and lived experiences regarding CCPS of team leaders and team members in IT distributed work teams. Five core themes emerged: (a) developing a strategy to facilitate CCPS in distributed work teams, (b) using team interaction to stimulate CCPS, (c) motivating team members to engage in CCPS, (d) leading CCPS from a distance, and (e) using technology to achieve CCPS in distributed work teams. Based on the conclusions drawn from the study's findings, recommendations are provided for leaders and practitioners to leverage the full capabilities of CCPS in dispersed work environments.

This paper reviews current research on context in problem solving and existing two-dimensional frameworks for expressing project contexts in Systems Thinking and Software Engineering. It makes the case for modeling of context with Problem Structuring Methods. The authors present lessons learnt from applying such methods in the context of their experience with several complex management interventions in Information and Telecommunications Technologies. The paper aims to contribute to the understanding of project contexts in complex problem solving in Information Technology.
