The paper deals with the ecological research of Ivanovo Region natural monument Lake Vazal (reservoir in town Yuzha). The reservoir is located in Yuzha of the Ivanovo Region, it was founded in 1859 by the overlapping a small river Vazovka with dam filling a formed basin with water. This reservoir was named Lake Vazal. The reservoir was recognized as a natural monument of regional value in 1975. The author describes different parameters of the lake and presents a bathymetric schema of the bottom. The relief of the lake banks is characterized. There are sod-shallow podzolic medium-power, medium sod medium- and low-humic sandy soils on the water-ice scurf on the banks of the lake. The water analysis is made. Meadow, marshy, aquatic and hygrophytic plant communities of this protected area are described briefly. The author has registered 277 vascular plant species from 3 divisions, 4 classes, 64 families and 180 genera, among them 3 species ( Sanguisorba officinalis , Lembotropis nigricans and Geranium palustre ) are included to the Ivanovo Region Red Data Book. 6 species are rare for the region flora. Populations of rare plant species are briefly characterized. Examples of alien and invasion plant species are given. The lake has a great hydrological and environment-forming value and forms a specific microclimate. The square of specially protected natural area is 42 hectares; the square of secured zone is 67,3 hectares.

Relevance of the work. The modern management of specially protected natural areas of the Tyumen region is based on the preservation of the existing structure. The region belongs to the few regions where reserves do not function. Strategic regional documents for the development of environmental protection do not contain evaluative characteristics, which does not allow judging the achievement of key performance indicators. In the existing technological and socioeconomic conditions, this approach cannot meet public needs, the formation of a favorable investment climate. Objective: on the basis of an assessment of the environmental value, significance and efficiency of the activities carried out in a separate specially protected natural area, develop proposals for optimizing the management of the “Kartashovsky Forest” natural monument. Methodology of the work: assessment of the environmental efficiency of specially protected natural areas and their regional systems WWF, 2012; spatial assessment is based on the geoinformation method; information base: state information systems of state executive authorities of the Russian Federation, the Tyumen region, the regulatory legal framework of the Russian Federation, the Tyumen region. Results of work and their scope. Based on the assessment of the environmental value, significance and effectiveness of the activities carried out, proposals were developed to optimize the management of the natural monument “Kartashovsky Forest”. Applications: environmental protection in the Tyumen region, regional management of investment attractiveness. Conclusions. The efficiency of the environmental protection activities carried out on the territory of the natural monument “Kartashovsky Forest” can be increased by introducing modern technological management solutions. The proposed solutions, integrated in a single information space, can be applied in the regional environmental management.

Petiolate oak, forming artificial forest stands, has various forms or varieties: geographical, edaphic, phenological and morphological. Knowledge about the productivity and growth of geographical forms of forest stands is of great practical importance, for which special forest crops are created and further studied. To study the geographical variability of woody plant species and clarify their value for forestry, to create arrays of geographical rocks from seed material of different geographical origin, test plantings of various valuable species are created. The state nature Reserve "Gornensky", located in the central part of the Rostov region, is a specially protected natural area of regional significance, has unique objects of geographical cultures, in particular the oak petiolate (Quercus robur L.). The article reflects the research of geographical cultures of oak petiolate growing on the territory of the reserve. 9 variants were investigated. The forestry and taxation characteristics of the studied variants are determined. It was revealed that by the age of 42, the best condition is the oak plantings created from acorns brought from the Stavropol Territory.

AbstractThe sustainable urban redevelopment project to protect biodiversity was developed to regenerate the external spaces of an ancient rural farmhouse, Villa Framarino, in the regional Natural Park of Lama Balice, a shallow erosive furrow (lama) rich in biodiversity, between two suburbs of the city of Bari (Apulia, Italy) and close to the city airport. This work includes a complex system of activities aimed not only at a spatial revaluation, necessary to relaunch the urban image, but it is accompanied by interventions of a cultural, social, economic, environmental and landscape nature, aimed at increasing the quality of life, in compliance with the principles of sustainability and social participation. One of the means to revitalize a territory subject to redevelopment is the planning of events and activities of socio-cultural value that involve the population to revive the sense of belonging to the territory and the community and at the same time to protect the biodiversity of the urban park of the protected natural area.

Abstract Selected forestry parameters were investigated in the system of tree vegetation and wood-destroying fungi in parks of the Kyiv city along a gradient of recreational transformation. We investigated vitality, age structure and health conditions of woody plants (Acer platanoides L., Aesculus hippocastanum L., Carpinus betulus L., Frangula alnus Mill., Pinus sylvestris L., Quercus robur L., Q. rubra L., Sambucus nigra L., Tilia cordata Mill.), and species, systematic, trophic and spatial compositions of xylotrophic fungi (27 species of xylotrophs representing 22 genera, 16 families, 6 orders of divisions Basidiomycota; class Agaricomycetes). The results showed that the communities of tree vegetation and xylotrophic fungi in parks depend on the degree of recreational transformation of the environment. Vitality, age structure and health conditions of trees altered species composition of xylotrophs.

In 1997, a restoration of Pinus culminicola was established under three exclusion areas: E1 = cattle plus small mammal exclusion, E2 = cattle exclusion and E3 = no exclusion (free range), in the Cerro El Potosi Protected Natural Area, located in Nuevo León, Mexico. The objective of this study was to determine the survival rate and the increase in diameter and height of Pinus culminicola individuals at three and 17 years after planting. The results show differences between 2000 and 2014 in survival rate and diameter and height growth in the three exclusion areas; E1 and E2 recorded higher averages. The main causes of mortality in this species are attributed to extreme weather conditions and the damage caused by cattle and small mammals.
