BACKGROUND: Congenital posterior elbow dislocation in children is a rare and scarcely reported condition. Owing to the difficulties of an early primary diagnosis and the lack of a standardized management, we present a clinical case of an analysis of surgical treatment according to literature and based on our experience. CLINICAL CASE: We present a case of congenital posterior elbow dislocation in a 7-year-old child. In the absence of a universal algorithm for surgical treatment, we performed an arthrotomy for visual assessment of articular surfaces, intervention on the capsule and tendons of m. brachialis, m. biceps brachii, m. brachioradialis, and modeling of the proximal epiphysis of the right radius. DISCUSSION: We analyzed surgical treatment options and made an overview of the main stabilizers of the elbow joint that prevent elbow dislocations. There are few publications on this condition; to our knowledge, over the past 10 years, only two clinical cases of a similar pathology in children had been published. Not a single case of congenital elbow dislocation in the neonatal period has been described. We analyzed early clinical manifestations and possible causes of delayed primary diagnosis. CONCLUSIONS: Recurrent posterior elbow dislocation of the congenital origin is associated with a functional deficiency of elbow joint stabilizers. In the neonatal period, these abnormalities are usually not detected. The first episode of dislocation may be triggered by a minor trauma without damaging the bone structures. Delayed primary diagnosis may be associated with the paucity of clinical symptoms and compensatory functionality in children. The decision on surgical correction should be based on the analysis of structural anatomical changes in the assessment, of which magnetic resonance imaging plays an important role.

The authors present a clinical case of von Willebrand disease detected after tonsillotomy and adenotomy in a child. The peculiarity of this observation lies in the rare occurrence of von Willebrand disease in clinical practice, as well as the manifestation of the clinical manifestations of this pathology against the background of surgical treatment in a child.

Among parasitic diseases, liver alveococcosis is a particular complication. It is often compared with parasitic liver cancer, due to infiltrative growth, the possibility of metastasis, as well as the high frequency of relapse after surgical treatment. However, the main difference between the course of alveococcosis liver damage is a slow infiltrative growth, which, in combination with large compensatory capacities of the hepatic tissue, often leads to the fact that the clinical manifestations of the disease occur late, even with a significant spread of the pathological process, at the stage of complications. At the same time, complete operative re moval of the tumor remains the only radical treatment for such patients. We present the clinical case of the diagnosis and multistage treatment of the patient E., 57 years old, with the widespread liver alveococcosis involving the inferior vena cava.

Dislocation of the elbow joint is the second most common dislocation after the shoulder joint. Although this pathology is relatively common, concomitant vascular injuries are rare. We present a case of a patient who sustained a fall on his arm with an outstretched elbow that resulted in a closed simple posterolateral elbow dislocation and delayed thrombosis of the brachial artery followed by two revascularisation surgeries. The physician must always maintain a high index of suspicion for a concomitant vascular injury before and after closed reduction of the elbow joint and have in mind that complete ischemia without any pulsations could be absent because the elbow is surrounded by rich collateral anastomoses. Suspicion should be even stronger in the presence of bony lesions or open injuries. A team of trauma and vascular surgeons has to work hand in hand as surgical treatment with a saphenous graft or direct suture is the first method of choice with the prior requirement of a stable elbow joint.

Actuality The social significance of spontaneous pneumothorax due to the fact that in recent years a growing number of patients with pulmonary bullous emphysema and, accordingly, with spontaneous pneumothorax, as well as the fact that the structure is dominated by patients of working age persons. To date, some difficulties persist in choosing the adequate diagnostic and treatment tactics in this disease. Objective In a clinical example to show the importance of an integrated approach to of surgical treatment for spontaneous pneumothorax, caused bullous emphysema. Materials and methods A clinical case of recurrent bullous emphysema complicated by recurrent spontaneous pneumothorax in a patient 32 years old, six years earlier underwent radical surgery - bullectomy on the first episode of spontaneous pneumothorax.

Osteochondropathy of the proximal ulnar bone is a rare disease that affects not only the ulnar, but also the venous process. To our knowledge, the existing domestic and foreign medical literature does not provide a description of osteochondropathy of the coronal process, a topic of considerable interest from the point of view of diagnosis and treatment. Here, we describe a clinical case of osteochondropathy of the coronal process and present a clinical picture of the defect of the elbow joint in the patient, with radiographs taken before and after the surgery. In the present clinical case, postoperatively, the patient reported pain; however, the elbow joint function was fully restored, indicating the success of the treatment and that active surgical treatment of this disease is adequate and timely.

A case of lung damage in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in a 33-year-old woman is described. This case is of clinical interest due to the complexity of diagnosis due to the fact that SLE is a disease with diverse clinical manifestations involving many organs and systems, which often makes it difficult to timely recognize the onset of the disease. SLE still remains a challenge and requires special attention to the patient s history, clinical and laboratory parameters of the patient, as well as specific immunological examinations.

The aim of the review was to summarize information on clinical manifestations, diagnostic features, as well as methods for correction of scar defects after cesarean section (CS) outside pregnancy. Lack of the scar after CS, niche, isthmocele are a myometrium defect in the area of scar after CS, which is most often detected by ultrasound, sonohysterography or magnetic resonance imaging and is manifested by postmenstrual bleeding from the genital tract. In some cases, it can cause menorrhagia, dyspareunia, pelvic pain, infertility, uterine rupture during subsequent pregnancy and childbirth. Conservative therapy or surgical treatment with laparoscopy, laparotomy or vaginal approach is carried out depending on the symptoms, size of the defect, the thickness of the residual myometrium, as well as the womans reproductive plans.

Currently, there are no standard approaches to monitoring patients with ovarian cancer (OC). While the role of ultrasound (US) has been identified in the primary diagnosis of OS, it is still controversial during the subsequent surgical treatment of OC. In world statistics, ovarian cancer is consistently among the four main localizations of malignant tumors of the female reproductive system, along with tumors of the breast, body and cervix.
