The structure layer of geocell reinforced with macadam, as well as effectiveness and practicality of such a method in foundation reinforcement during work progress of civil engineering is   studied in this paper. Basic theory and method about foundation reinforcement structure applied in work process of civil engineering have been studied. Physical model of experimental tank built by loaded plates has been established. Experiments have been conducted on the loaded-plate tank for geocells in different specification and filler in the geocell to determine the relationship between loads at various of structure layers and longitudinal travel. Experimental results showed that structure layer of geocell reinforced with macadam could improve vertical deformation in a better way, whose efficiency became smaller along with weld spacing of geocell getting larger within a certain range. Besides, specification of the filler also imposed effects onto the reinforcement efficiency, where filler with larger particle diameter brought about better reinforcement effects. The experimental results demonstrated rationality and effectiveness of structure layer of geocell reinforced with macadam and provided staff members responsible for civil engineering construction with reference on selecting the foundation reinforcement scheme.

Energy-saving and green technology plays an important role in the development of civil engineering in the new era. The concept of energy saving and environmental protection can not only ensure the coordination between civil engineering construction and urban living environment, but also reduce construction cost and avoid energy consumption. This article analyzes the common problems in the construction of civil engineering, and discusses the application of energy-saving and green technology in civil engineering. Corresponding measures are also put forward to promote the energy-saving and green technology, as well as the sustainable development of the construction industry.

This paper uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process to optimize the PESTEL analysis. The scenario: pre-construction and assembly factors of huge civil engineering construction projects. Several managers use too many criteria to evaluate large projects. It suggests that there may be few important criteria that summarize the manager's preference. To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed hypothesis, the authors prepared a qualitative and exploratory study. Conclusions are based on the judgment of an expert interviewed. As expected, the hypothesis was considered plausible. Two main criteria corresponded to 71% of the expert's preference. The result resembles a Pareto distribution.

Nanotechnology can be used for design and construction processes in many areas since nanotechnology generated products have many unique characteristics. These characteristics can significantly fix current construction problems, and may change the requirement and organization of the construction process. This paper reviews the basic concept of nanotechnology, different types of nanomaterial and their manufacturing process as well as the applications of nanotechnology in different fields such as concrete, pavement engineering, construction materials. Use of nanotechnology is found to offer high performing and efficient materials. Specific application areas include water and waste water treatment, construction materials etc. The use of nanotechnology in civil engineering is still in infancy stage. The production methods, pollutions caused to human health, manufacturing difficulties, performance are the issues to be addressed in order to use the nanotechnology in civil engineering.

For the whole process of civil engineering construction, slope support technology is a very key technical point of civil construction. Engineering and technical personnel shall be able to fully ensure the safety and firmness of the foundation structure of the engineering slope by setting up retaining walls or using other slope support treatment techniques, and extend the safe service life of civil engineering. Under this premise, engineering and technical personnel must integrate the technical measures of slope support into the construction process of civil engineering.

Taking a deep-mine horizontal roadway in inclined strata as our research object, the true triaxial simulation technique was used to establish a model of the inclined strata and carry out high-stress triaxial loading experiments. The experimental results show that the deformation of surrounding rock in the roadway presents heterogeneous deformation characteristics in time and space: the deformation of the surrounding rock at different positions of the roadway occurs at different times. In the process of deformation of the surrounding rock, deformation and failure occur at the floor of the roadway first, followed by the lower shoulder-angle of the roadway, and finally the rest of the roadway. The deformation amount in the various areas is different. The floor heave deformation of the roadway floor is the greatest and shows obvious left-right asymmetry. The deformation of the higher side is greater than that of the lower side. The model disassembly shows that the development of cracks in the surrounding rock is characterized by more cracks on the higher side and fewer cracks on the lower side but shows larger cracks across the width. The experimental results of high-stress deformation of the surrounding rock are helpful in the design of supports, the reinforcement scheme, and the parameter optimization of roadways in high-stress-inclined rock, and to improve the stability control of deep high-stress roadways.
