In the feasibility study stage of highway engineering construction project, it is one of the bases for compiling investment estimation to reasonably estimate the quantity of subgrade works. Combined with years of practical work, this paper introduces the contents and compilation methods of subgrade works in the feasibility study stage of Highway Engineering in mountainous and hilly areas. Taking 11 specific projects as examples, this paper analyzes the specific application of empirical analysis method, and concludes that the empirical analysis method can be applied to the estimation of highway subgrade engineering quantity in mountainous areas in the feasibility study stage

The reasonable estimation of the number of pavement works in the feasibility study stage of highway engineering construction project is one of the basis for the preparation of investment estimation. The selection of pavement structure layer and the calculation of thickness, the calculation of different terrain and pavement area is the main content of highway pavement quantity calculation in mountainous and hilly area. It is of great significance to select the correct calculation method according to different geological conditions. Through 10 engineering cases analysis, the paper analyzes the thickness and area calculation of the pavement structure of the mountain road. It is concluded that the pavement structure layer can be in the form of subbase + base + seal + surface layer. The influence of shoulder, subgrade retaining wall and middle separation zone should be considered in the calculation of pavement area.

With the rapid development of information technology, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), as a new and popular technology, has also been tried in the field of engineering construction. In this paper, through the application of UAV technology in Australia's large-scale project to extinguish mountain fire, the application effect of UAV in the whole life cycle of engineering construction project is analogized. UAV assisted project progress, management quality and safety and other aspects, so that managers can timely and efficiently understand the situation of the project site, and effectively improve the management's control over the project construction, indicating the future application prospect of UAV technology in the construction field.
