The paper presents a comparative analysis of the Emotional-Semantic approach and the DIR / Floortime approach to intervention in the childhood autism. Their conceptual similarities go as follows: both approaches are based on the idea of development and normal development principles, their goal is normalization of an autistic child’ mental development, they consider childhood autism as a biologically determined disorder connected to problematic affective sphere development and aim at engaging an autistic child into an emotionally valuable relationship. The approaches divert in considering the genesis of the affective sphere difficulties in autism, outlining diagnostic milestones, setting purposes of the adult’s joining the child’s activities and assessing intervention efficiency. Emotional-Semantic Approach considers the child’s inability to build relationships with the environment as a whole (not only with another person) as the main problem of the affective sphere development; it bases diagnostics on qualitative peculiarities of autistic disorder; it aims at helping the child comprehend the situation while developing joint and divided experiences and broadening the range of the child’s emotions.

The southwestern coast of Spain is in a tidal zone (mesotidal) which causes the equilibrium profile to be developed in two different sections: the breakage section and the swash section. These two sections give rise to the typical bi-parabolic profile existing in tidal seas. The existence of areas with reefs/rocks which interrupt the normal development of the typical bi-parabolic profile causes different types of beach profiles. The objective of this article is designing an easy methodology for determining new formulations for the design parameters of the equilibrium profile of beaches with reefs in tidal seas. These formulations are applied on 16 profiles to quantify the error between the real profile data and the modelling results. A comparative analysis is extended to the formulations proposed by other authors, from which it is found that better results are obtained with the new formulations.

The paper discusses the issue of the relationship between lifestyle and mental development. With the Lyuli (Central Asian Romani people) children as an example, I explore the impacts of the unsettled way of life on the development of the attitude towards symmetry and asymmetry in childhood. A comparative analysis of the primary school-aged Lyuli children (n=27) and their peers (n=30) studying at comprehensive schools that was conducted using the Barron-Welsh Art Scale suggests it is highly probable that the lifestyle affects the development of the individual’s sense of symmetry. The outcomes show that the unsettled way of life of the Lyuli does not promote unilaterally positive or negative attitude towards symmetry and asymmetry. However, the study revealed that it is far more common for the Lyuli children as compared to their peers from schools to develop attitudes to symmetry or its violation in the environment that are identical in modality. Basing on these facts, I argue that the unsettled way of living has a negative impact upon the child’s ability to develop a differentiated attitude in displaying the sense of symmetry.

A correction and in demnification of lacks of physical development and physical preparedness of visually impaired children ade quately influenced the health swimming on the bodily condition of children, to what indexes testify got during an experiment. Onquestioning of parents and teachers, application of th health swimming influenced also on reduction of catarrhal diseases among children, that was marked on the visit of school lessons. The results of our researches testify to the necessity of application of the health swimming, that must take the important place in the complex of measures on the aim of strengthening of health of children, improvement of motiveinternalss, prophylaxis of secondary diseases of visually impaired students of midchildhood.

Although many studies document the ways in which children with ASD differ from typically developing children, few have highlighted the strengths and abilities of children with ASD.
